I've been taking methadone for opiate dependency. Can i take maxifed dm for a sinus infection ## There are no interactions listed between taking them together, but you should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. You should know, however, that if it is actually an infection, there is nothing in the Maxifed DM that will help clear it up. That will require an antibiotic from your doctor. If you're on Methadone can you still take Suboxone safely? ## NO! They are both very strong narcotics, it is not safe to take both. In addition, Suboxone also contains Naloxone, which neutralizes other opiates. This is done to prevent people from still trying to get high off of other narcotics while they are under Suboxone treatment. ## Also it will put you into IMMEDIATE withdrawals...so DO NOT DO IT!!!! ## So true I went into acute withdrawals.
