Do allopurinol 100 mg,triamterene- hctz 37.5-25 mg ,and tremodol all interact ok with each other ## Hello, Dtfancy! How are you? I didn't find any interactions listed between these medications in the MedScape database, but it's always best to double check such information to be certain. Tramadol is listed by the FDA as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Triam/HCTZ is most commonly used to lower high blood pressure and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and dehydration. Allopurinol is used to treat gout and some types of kidney stones, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, fever and easy bruising. Is t...

Multiple knee surgeries; bone spur on L heel secondary to limping on right leg for years; spondylolysthesis in back. Prescribed 1-2 Percocet(s) per night (5-325) to help sleep and Tramadol (50mgs, up to 4Xday). If my first 2 Trams haven't touched my pain (fell 2 days ago), would taking the remaining 2, plus the Percocets, have any kind of additive analgesic effect? Or would the stronger Perc render the Tram unnoticeable? Should mention I'm a pill horse: since childhood, I've had to take higher doses to get effects, w/ any drugs. I'm 5'11" and 185. ## Hello, Tristan! How are you? No, you shouldn't take more than prescribed, per dose, or you may overdose. Both of these medications are considered opiate analgesics, so taking more at once could place you at risk....

Is it okay to take Instaflex with Declofenac, Tramadol and Tylenol. I know white will bark has a substance similar to aspirin. I'm wondering about the Declofenac (NSAID) with an aspirin-type ingredient. Also, I no longer have AFIB but am still taking a low dose of Atenolol and Flecainide (preventive) and am slowing going off of it. Okay to take the Instaflex. My doc doesn't know a lot about these herbs. ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? I'm sorry, but no one knows a lot about herbs and natural remedies. Since they can't be patented like prescription drugs, no one has any reason to spend the money to evaluate them for side effects or interactions with medications. Have you tried contacting the manufacturers to ask if they have any information for you? ## Can you take instafle...

what drugs are compatable with soma ? I have been told not to take tramadol with it , What about lyrica? ## No one here is qualified to answer your question(s) with absolute certainty. Why not check with a Medical doctor? ## Hello, Cathy! How are you? I didn't find any interactions listed between Soma and Lyrica, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. The main issue is that Soma has an effect on serotonin levels in the brain, so it may be dangerous to combine it with other medications that also have an effect on it, such as Tramadol, because it creates the risk of Serotonin Syndrome, which could be fatal. Lyrica, however, does not affect serotonin, it works on different brain chemicals. Where there other drugs that you wanted you to check? ## Sorry to ...

HI EVERY BODY I NEED TO KNOW IF IT POSSIBLE TO TAKE VIAGRA OR CIALIS WHILE TAKING TRAMADOL ? IF SOME BODY KNOW PLEASE POST YOUR ANSWER ## Hi, im a med student. I read about tramadol &viagra or tramadol &cialis and there's no significant interactions known or found for these drugs. Caution always advised with multiple medications. Have a nice day ## Yes, I ran them as well and that is correct, there are no interactions listed, but you should double check this information with your doctor or pharmacist, just to be certain. Do you have any other questions? ## Interesting. I take tramadol for back and knee pain, because I have kidney problems that prohibit NSAID use. I take it when my back hurts and only then. There is no indication of addiction. I can stop easily. My girlfriend...

Is It a narcotic? How safe is it to take for long period?Does it interfere with any other drug taken? I take it for fibromialgia and rheumathoid arthritis. ## No, Tramadol is not classified as a narcotic, though the FDA has changed their minds on this, several times. Currently, it is classified as a centrally acting analgesic, because it does not control pain as well as a narcotic, but it can cause similar side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. It can react with some other medications, however, there are far too many for me to list. Can you post back with the name of any other drugs you are concerned about? I will gladly check the interactions for you.

can you please provide the details that this pill may use with any other pills? Are there any side effects by doing this? ## It would depend on the specific medications in question. It can cause interactions with quite a few other drugs, but there are far too many for me to be able to list them all here for you. However, if you can post back with the specific ones you need information on, I will gladly check for you. Can you please post back with more details?

Does anyone else take tramadol and wellbutrin together. I heard it can cause seizures. ## What you heard is right, regarding the risk of seizures. My research on the interactions between these two drugs quotes the following information as a "high risk" interaction: "MONITOR CLOSELY: The risk of seizures may be increased during coadministration of tramadol with any substance that can reduce the seizure threshold, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI antidepressants or anorectics), monoamine oxidase inhibitors, neuroleptic agents, central nervous system stimulants, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants, other tricyclic compounds (e.g., cyclobenzaprine, phenothiazines), carbapenems, cholinergic agents, fluoroquinolones, interferons, chloroquine, mefloquine, lindan...

I have torn cartilage in my knee and have been waiting for surgery for like 4 months now and I am finialy having it tommo , but have just fell and I'm in quite a bit of pain and wanted to take my tramadol I have left from when my leg used to hurt like this , is it safe to take before surgery ? ## Hello, Derek! How are you? Please don't take anything before surgery, without checking with your doctor or the surgeon. Anesthesia can be very touchy and there are many drugs that it can negatively interact with. Can you reach your doctor or surgeon? When do you have the surgery?

Hi; I am taking highblood pressure medicine, Lisnopril-htcz 20/25mg tab and amlodipine Besylate 5mg table. I am taking a blood-thinner called Clopidogrel bisulfate (Plavix oral) 75mg, I also have a vitamin d deficiency so I am taking vit d 50,000 iu d2 (ergo) caps (RX). Can these medicine be taken with Tramadol, and Hydrocodone/acetaminophen 5-500 mg tablet. I am also a predibetic. ## Hi Victoria, It looks like you posted your question twice within the same paragraph. However from what I could gather, there are a couple serious drug interactions that you should be aware of. The first being between the Hydrocodone and Tramadol combination. Using these two drugs together may increase your risk of seizures, breathing problems, as well as other dangerous side effects. The other interaction ...

I am on 5-325 hydrocodone. I took my last of the script around 7:30 this evening. I have an old script of 100mg, extended release, tramadol and figured I would take one in the am., since my hydrocodone script can't be filled til the day after tomorrow. Am I safe to take one around 8:00 am., tomorrow morning? ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu - drug interaction tool), there is a high interaction potential between hydrocodone and tramadol. However they do go on to note that because the two drugs may be necessary in certain cases, your doctor may have to adjust the dosage and/or frequency of dosing in order to help mitigate any possible risk factors/side effects (such as: Loss of balance or dizziness, slurred speech, confusion, changes in mental awarene...

can tarmadol be taken with bencoprim ## Hi Ed, My findings state that there are in fact unsafe interactions between these two drugs. Posted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "MONITOR CLOSELY: The risk of seizures may be increased during coadministration of tramadol with any substance that can reduce the seizure threshold, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI antidepressants or anorectics), monoamine oxidase inhibitors, neuroleptic agents, central nervous system stimulants, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants, other tricyclic compounds (e.g., cyclobenzaprine, phenothiazines), carbapenems, cholinergic agents, fluoroquinolones, interferons, chloroquine, mefloquine, lindane, and theophylline.
