I would like to know cause I take methadone and I've got subutex that a friend gave me but I thought it might hurt me ## I know for certain never to take suboxone..I take 90 mg of methadone and done a quarter of suboxone and litrally died they brung me back but I still have side effects from that nite ## @loco, I have to concur with becca on the fact that it's probably not safe to use either of these drugs within at least a few days of each other. One counteracts the other so much that it could potentially put your body into a life-threatening state of withdrawal (if taken at the wrong time). I was son 20-30 mg. methadone for a yr. Trying to switch to Suboxone.Stupidly went to treament center that will not give subutex. I have not taken Methadone for 48 hrs, miserable, but scared to take any suboxone. Might try 1 mg. Thoughts? OH, my Dr was worthless, need to findnew on in Dayton Ohio area. ## Are you worried about the two drugs counteracting with each other? I take 120 pills of Valium 10 mg per month. They are prescribed. However, I am not the weening off type. I must stop cold turkey. Is this dangerous, what can/will happen and is their something I can take to counteract any effects? ## Bob, I was taking about 200 10 mg. of Valiums per month, even more if I had the money to go out to the street and buy them.
