What Dose Are Nitro 5

I want to take one person out from the addiction of Nitro sun 10. Please help me ## Hi Sumit, Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. If the Nitro sun is a controlled release tablet or capsule, then you wouldn't be able to cut the pill into fractionated doses and would likely have to have other means of intervention. Have you confronted this person about helping them, and are they open to the idea of it?

I'm suppose to take this medicine for 3 days twice a day. Is that enough time to clear up my UTI?? ## Hi diamond, According to Wiki, the usual adult dose of nitrofurantoin for a urinary tract infection can be 100 mg two times daily, or 50 mg four times daily for seven days. However, in less severe cases, the dosage can actually be prescribed for as little as 3 days. That should be plenty of time to clear up a UTI if it really is acute. urinary tract infection ## Not familiar with this drug. It was prescribed for a urinary tract infection. ANTIBIOTIC ## My wife is 83 years old and has a bladder infection. Her PCP put her on liquid antibiotic because her she can't swallow pills of any kind,(two refills) and it did not her symtoms. He them put her her on Nitro/Mono 100 mg. She has had a lethargic condition along with burning when saud she gort worse and so was switched to the Nitro/ Mono 100 mg twice daily. what happens once 10 tabs r taken at a time? ## IF u take 10 tablets u will be unconsious if u are daily user i dont know u can handel or not it if u r not u can die also or u can b sereous ill and hospitalized......i was a user of it i see one of my freind dyeing due to the over dose of this nitrosun so b careful it is not a toy to play and i think u r not a kid............. ## no i take more than 10 tablets but i cant dieeeeee...? y? ## Avoid thinking of this sort of question itself. I am on a 100 mg dosage of nitrofur mac for a UTI I do fine with the first dose of the day, but by the second and third dose I am feeling nauseaous and not hungry at all. I am supposed to take a 4th dose, but don't because I can't sleep when I do. ## Those can be normal side effects according to FDA reports. You may also experience headache, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications? Did you finish your full course of this one?

Took nitrofur for 4.5 days of the 10 day prescription. I quit taking it on Friday after one dose. Still have abdominal pain and diarrhea. Something weird is I feel like my privates are burning. The burning is not when I urinate. It's there most of the time. How long will I have these problems? Went to doctor and she said all is caused by the nitrofur antibiotic to quit taking it. I took this twice in a row at 2:00. Is that okay? Also, is it okay to take one tomorrow morning and then 1 at night? ## Hi Mary, I just took a look at the dosing guidelines for this medication, and it states that Nitrofurantoin monohydrate/macrocrystals capsulesÂshould be taken with food every 12 hours for seven days. Because of that strict 12 hour gap in between doses, I definitely wouldn't say it is ok to take them back to back like that. Schedule your doses so that you take 1 in the morning when you get up and one a couple hours before you go to bed (giving yourself enough time to leave you with 12 hours before the following morning dose). I am going in for a uterus treatment and the doctor had me take a urine culture 7 days prior. Twice, the culture came back as positive and the doctor postponed the uterus treatment. I had no symptoms of the UTI. He then prescribed Nitrofurantoin 100mg once a day for a month prior to the next appointment for the procedure. Is this the right antibiotic for my situation? what is this for< I thought it was for a bladder infection ## It is an antibiotic, it is commonly used for bladder infections, but can be used to treat other infections, as well. My Dr said I had a UTI, all though I had no symptoms, so put me on a course of nitrofurantion. I started feeling faint, about to pass out, my heart was racing, and I was breathless, I returned to the Dr, and he put me on a higher dose, I felt even worse, and my right eye couldn't focus properly, I ended up in hospital for a week, still having funny turns, but they couldn't find anything wrong with me. I am 15 weeks pregnant I was put on this medication for a UTI 2 capsules a day for 7 days I took 3 doses and didn't think much about mood changes because of being pregnant, after 4th dose I experienced severe vomiting, at the same time my nose was gushing blood, and I became extremely confused and unable to speak anything that made sence, I read possible side effects some included unusual bleeding confusion mood or mental changes severe vomiting. I am 29 and took 2 days of a 3 day nitrofur macr prescription. I woke up with severe pain (muscle and joint pain) in my legs from the bottom of my feet to my hips. There are no interactions listed in my resources, but you should check with a doctor or pharmacist to be certain. My doctor (OBG) gave me nitrofurantoin monohydrate macrocrystals (100 caps) for a UTI. 3 days after completing my dose I got an allergic reaction with hives, etc. I went to my MP Dr. and she said I may be allergic to sulfur, but my OBG just told me there is no sulfur in this antibiotic.
