found pill with v on one side and 3605 on the other what is it ## Hi Walt, From what I understand, the cursive "V" actually represents Vintage Pharmaceuticals who now holds the name Qualitest. However the pill you have there marked "V 36 05" is identified as a generic Norco tablet containing 325mg of Acetaminophen + 7.5mg of Hydrocodone; used for treating moderate to severe pain. And for verification, this particular pill also carries a National Drug Code of 00603-3891. I hope this helps! ## thanks for the info ## The pill is round and pink with a cursive V and markings of 49/93 on the other side what is it? ## Pink V 49 93 is oxycodone hcl 10 mg an I believe fairly new to the market! ## Also, the V 49 94 gray pill which is 20mg oxycodone I think is new to the market, is...

WHAT DOES THE LETTERS APA STAND FOR? the two articles above contradict each other. top one says...apa means amt of acetaminophen & bottom one says, that apa is the amt of hydrocodone. i came here specifically for apa info. help me with the apa on my meds. thanks g. n. ## From what I could gather, it seems like a simple misunderstanding. APA & APAP are both commonly used abbreviations of Acetaminophen. This abbreviation is often used in the following context: "APA/Hydrocodone 325mg/7.5mg" Is this what you are referring to? I would suggest double checking with your pharmacist if you believe it has an impact on the quality of your medication. However, if you know the imprint on your pill, I can even look it up for you to determine it's exact ingredients. I hope this hel...

my hydrocodone has Watson 3202 on white oval pill but pharmacy label has a T following the 325. What does the T mean? ## I am not aware of any abbreviation that this would stand for and suspect it may be a typographical error, or something internal to your pharmacy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## at the end of a hydrocodone/acetaminophen script there is a tb and a t what doe they mean ## A "T" or "TB" on the end of the drug name on a label simply stands for "Tablet". This is universal and could apply to any medication that comes in tablet form. I know this thread is old, just clearing ...

Wife has RA and has tried many different NSAIDs to relieve pain and reduce swelling. We don't want to take the standard RA Meds as the side effects are bad as well. Due to intense pain a few nights ago, I let her use some of my hydrocodone with acetaminophen and woke up feeling better than she had in months. What part of the drug is responsible for reducing the inflammation and then the pain to allow her to use her hands and walk. Are there other options we should look at for her pain/inflammation? Many of the NSAIDs haven't worked effectively for her. ## Hello, Todd! How are you and your wife? It could be that this is a good medication for her and she may need to ask her doctor about trying it. Was it the combination with Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen? It does take opiates to h...

I can't find anything that says what it is. The prescription is 60/200 mg of hydrocodone compound it is a capsule with no writing one part is clear the other is white! Just want to make sure it is a legit pill?? ## Where did you get it? There is no standard dosage of 60/200 available. The only way anyone would have this dosage would be if it were specially ordered by their doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy. If that's the case, it would explain the plain capsules, since that's what they usually use. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

My grandma got dark purple capsules and her nurse say their compound capsules hydrocodone 60 mg is there a such pill as such I'm scared a little bit because there's no markings and their dark purple capsules ## Hello! How are you and your grandma? Actually that does make sense, a compounded medication would not have any markings on it. There is no standard manufactured 60mg dosage available, so it would have to be specially ordered by her doctor and then created for her at a compounding pharmacy. They usually use unmarked capsules, because they are cheaper than those with logos or imprints on them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anyth...

is there a such a thing as a thirty milligram hydrocodone ## Not in any of the standard prescription formulations, the only way someone would get this is if their doctor ordered it and they had them made from a special compounding pharmacy, then it would be a capsule. The standard dose of Hydrocodone by itself only goes up to 5mgs and in tablets with Acetaminophen, it is available in up to 10mgs. Are there any other questions? ## you can get hydrocodone in 15 and 30mgs its a little blue pill ## sorry thats oxycodone 15 and 30s ## I was just PRESCRIBED THIS INFO FROM MY DR AND I HAD IT MADE AT A SEPCIALTY PHARMACY TOOK THEM 4 HOURS AND IT IS IN A CLEAR CAPSULE AND IT IS 30 MG OF STRAIGHT HYDROCODONE NOT TYLENOL OR ANY ADDITIONS:-) IT IS A BLUE POWDER AND IT WORKS GREAT FOR MY PAIN WITH N...

I weigh 104.8lbs and have a impacted infected wisdom tooth. Would it be safe to take this dosage once a day for severe pain?? Thank you in advance :) ## Hi, Courtney! I'm sorry you're in pain. This is a pretty standard dose, but considering your size, you may want to just try half a tablet at once, especially if you aren't used to taking narcotics. The Hydrocodone in this is pretty potent. I generally run between 117 and 120, but have found that since I rarely take them, even the 5/500mg dosage of this hits me very hard and I can only handle half of a tablet at once. These are time released, so you can cut or break them, safely. Unless you already have a tolerance to narcotics, then I'd really think it best to start small and see how it affects you. You can always take t...

i had 3 glasses of red wine what could hapened ## Alcohol can intensify the side effects, so you may experience worsening nausea, vomiting, dizziness and drowsiness. this site is not medical professionals, so you should ask a doctor or pharmacist to be certain. However, with most medications, it does not denote anything dangerous, unless you have severely been abusing the medication and the alcohol, together. In addition, the Ibuprofen with the alcohol also risks worse stomach irritation and possibly ulcers. Is there anything else I can help you with? ## What does the BT_IBU stand for AFTER hYDROCODONE? I have two peach colored/oblong pills..On one side is a V on the other side is the #'s 36 05 Would like to know what strength they are & what the 36 05 means. Also these pills are scored. ## Hello, Sparkplug! How are you? This tablet contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. As to the numbers, all manufactured prescription tablets in the U.S. are required to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency, so those numbers are just something used by the company in their imprint, which is registered with FDA to identify their product. Is there anything else I can help with?

I recently went to CVS and forgot that they use some sort of generic for lortab called, well, I call it "Mallencrock (crock-o-crap). I have a refill. Can I go in and ask that they not make me pay for something I can't stand and doesn't work for me, and that I would like to have Lortab/Watson brand? ## There have been many complaints about the products manufactured by Mallinckrodt. Yes, you can ask them ahead of time if they have a different one in stock to fill your prescription, though it may be more expensive. If they don't, or won't order it in for you, you could always see about transferring your prescription elsewhere. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I actully did what you said and had it transferred to Walgreens and they happily gave me what I wanted...

Is this pill 5 mg or 10mg? And what does the 3604 stand for? ## Hello, Doc! How are you? The white, oblong tablet with the red specks that has the marking 3604 V on it contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And according to law, all manufactured prescription tablets must have unique markings to enable their identification, in case of an emergency, so any given pill can be traced by to a specific manufacturer. That's what the 3604 V is, it's just the code that Vintage/Qualitest has chosen to use on this pill to identify it as their product. Is there anything else I can help with?

Daughter had abdominal surgery, after which she was prescribed Hydrocodone/APAP 10/650. She only weights about 108-111, very thin. She started to have a massive headache, started throwing up blood and coughing up blood, had to call 911 to go to her home she was too weak and could barely move or talk. Should she have been prescribed such a high dose at hear weight. ## This is actually not an extremely high dosage, it is fairly standard. The side effects you listed, except for the blood, are all normal for this medication. this site is not medical professionals, so we cannot say with certainty, but the blood may have been caused by the Acetaminophen (APAP) irritating her stomach or it may have been related to the surgery itself. Only her doctors can discover the truth on that. You can rea...

hydrocodone is all the same. "Vicoprofen" is superior for dental pain ## Hi Kim, I'm not sure what the basis of your post is in so far as saying that "hydrocodone is all the same"? But the idea of adding Ibuprofen to the mix instead of the standard Acetaminophen/Tylenol doesn't seem to measure out a significant difference in my opinion, since they are both NSAID's. Vicoprofen may be good for pain for one person, but not necessarily another since everyone tends to respond differently. However each drug still comes with an understanding that undesirable and potentially fatal side effects such as liver or kidney damage, stomach bleeding, etc, has been reported to happen. So even if one does yield better results, the risk factors of using either one long term are...

I have been taking Hydrocodon-APAP 10-325 2 PILLS EVERY 4 HOURS 3 to 4 times a day for 15 years. My problem is the last few prescriptions I've received have not done much to help with the pain. The last few prescriptions are Watson 853 tablets. I have taken as many as 4 to 4 & 1/2 pills within an hour & a half & it was like I was taking nothing!! I have heard that sometimes the medicine is replaced with a placebo or that the Government is cutting down the ingredient that actually give fast pain relief. Is there any truth to this or what is the problem? ## Nok that is not true, if you receive them from a licensed U.S. pharmacy, everything they dispense must meet the same FDA efficacy standards. It is warned that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and ...

I Found a blottle that read HYDROCODOE/APAP ELX PMA I was just curious as to how strong it was, it's yellow..If that matters any. ## I'm thinking the "ELX" probably stands for Elixir, which is liquid. And from what I could gather, Hydrocodone Bitartrate + Acetaminophen Oral Solutions come in dosages of: 7.5 mg/500 mg per 15 mL. I noticed that this dosage has yellow dye in it as well if that helps: "In addition, the liquid contains the following inactive ingredients: ammoniated glyyerrhizin, dibasic sodium phosphate, citric acid, ethyl maltol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, sodium gluconate, sorbitol solution, with D&C Yellow No. 10 and FD&C Yellow No. 6 as coloring, and natural and art...

I have a tooth ache really hurts and cannot take thd pain anymore all I have is hydrocodone apap can I take that to relive the pain. Please help ## Hello, Connie! How are you? I'm very sorry about the tooth ache. While this medication is often prescribed for toothaches, it will not help correct the underlying cause, such as a deep dental cary. So, you still need to see your dentist, as you may actually require an antibiotic, if an infection is present. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
