What Does The Pill Citalopram Look Like

Beige oblong tablet, scored, 9 and 0 on the scored side and A on the reverse. Told it was citalopram 20mg but doesn't look like the usual tablet. ## The marking is actually A 06 and the tablet does contain 20mgs of Citalopram, the active ingredient in Celexa, which is an SSRI antidepressant. Learn more Citalopram details here. Since it is a generic, that means it is manufactured by several different companies and according to law, each tablet has to have unique markings to enable its identification and there are no guidelines on how they have to look. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have some of what i think to be Celexa and i cant find the picture of it. It is oval white in color and reads c40 with what looks to be a chevron on the back of it. Can you please tell me if these are Celexa. ## Hello, Whibbles! How are you? Yes, the tablet with the Cobalt logo and C40 is now manufactured by Apotex and they list it as containing 40mgs of Citalopram. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain.

I just had to switch generic brands for my citalopram. I take 10mg; but this pill looks bigger than my old pill. Whereas the old one said .5 (or something to that effect), this one only has a "c" on one side. Is this really only 10mg? ## Based on my research, the pill you are describing is in fact Citalopram hydrobromide 10 mg. For verification, the size is: 6.00 mm Manufacturer: Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories National Drug Code (NDC): 57664-0507 From what I understand, it's not just the Citalopram taking up "real estate" in your pill. It's also filled with inactive ingredients (binders and fillers), "such as": corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and other things of that nature. Having...

I have been on Citalopram for two years but recently switched my prescription from Walgreens to Target (for convenience). I discovered that these retailers get their Citalopram from different manufacturers (the pills look entirely different, for one; and, the mfr. is also listed on the label). Within a few weeks it was obvious that the new prescription wasn't doing as good as job. So, I switched back (to Walgreens) and I'm glad I did. Sure enough, I've been feeling better again. Lesson: You never kjnow: your body may respond better to one manufacturer's generic than another. I had read this was possible, and it ended up being true in this case for me. ## HI! I'm glad you were able to switch back to the one that worked better for you. They may not always get theirs fr...

I would like to know what Citalopram looks like. Can anybody tell me? ## It all depends on the manufacturer. Since Citalopram is a generic medication it can be one of many appearances. Can you post back with the manufacturer, or at least describe what your pill looks like?

My boyfriend has been taking Citalopram HND 40 mg for about 2 years and the doctor refilled it for 20 mg. No discussion on the change amount was made. Plus the pills look completely different. ## Did he ask his doctor about the change? It might have been a mistake. The FDA warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. Sometimes, such issues are just due to an honest mistake, because doctors tend to be so very busy.

Can I Break A Citalopram Hbr 20 Mg Tablet In Half? ## I have been on Cit for about 6 years 10mg. the great news is it made me feel great took away all that angst and low mood. BUT I have gained about 2 stone and its made my IBS terrible. its wierd because i always saw Cit as a cure and would look for other reasons why i was getting bigger, having bad stomach. it was only when I started a serious diet and had lost nothing after 4 weeks (while my daughter on same diet lost ten pounds) that i started to research reasons. Theres no question its this horrible little drug and i am furious that my doctor never thought to see if Cit was a cause. over many many forums the same theme is coming thru, doctors fobbing off patients that Cit doesnt cause weight gain and there should be no withdrawal s...

I was on Citalopram for over a year and I came off it in November 2016. I feel so much better not being on it and that I am not zombie like anymore and not to mention the weight gain. Now it is March and I have the worst oily skin ever. It's literally all over my face and it is making my hair so greasy and this isn't a good look. I have tried special soap bars and greasy hair shampoo but it just simple keeps coming back. It's been happening for a few months now and it's really getting on my nerves. Can anyone advise me on this and if anyone else has had a similar experience? I am guessing it is to do with hormones setting back down but how long will it go on for? I'm a 30 year old male. Thanks in advance. ## I came off citalopram in June '17 and since then I'...

I was on citalopram for nearly a year. They seemed to be working just fine for a while and then I noticed a gradual yet shocking change in my thinking and feeling. I had severe mood swings that could last for hours, days or weeks. I though more and more about killing myself and that no one around me understood. It caused havoc on my relationships, romantic and otherwise. I couldn't see how hard people were trying to help me. I was completely in my own world, going out and abusing alcohol and waking up the next day in someone's bed who I though would give me the world. The next week if grow tired of them and move on to the next. It finally got to the point where I felt utterly alone and I tried to take my life. Luckily I failed, but this forced me to really look at myself and wha...

Any feedback on this tablet? ## I got a prescription refill for citalopram hbr 40 mg. The new tabs have different markings (MX33 vs RDY 344 on the old) and are half the size of the old. Can they be the same medication/dosage? Thank you. ## Yes it IS celexa but that specific form isnt working, so be careful. Search for it on the internet and you will find the reports. My husband had that pill and it didnt work. It caused hell in our home. Changing back to the other tablet today!! ## Yes, all of the tablets that were asked about for a confirmation of identity in this thread contain 40mgs of Citalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant. Found pill on floor and no idea what it is. Round peach in color one side has a "c" and the other side is blank ## It is a 10mg citalopram ## Just to confirm for others, this is a 10mg Citalopram tablet, manufactured by Caraco. And for additional verification, the National Drug Code is 57664-0507. To help with any discrepancies, the color of the tablet is also depicted as orange in the product description. My pharmacist changed my rx to this when I picked it up a few weeks ago. I just looked up the numbers MX33 tonight. I thought I have been going crazy. 100% NOT effective.
