my med had oc on it for oxicontin but now it has op. What does that stand for ## I am not certain exactly what it stands for, however, it has replaced the original Oxycontin with the OC marking. Oxycontin OP cannot be crush, chewed or broken down. If someone tries, it basically turns into a gummy goo, that is supposed to only dissolve in stomach acid and retain its time released properties. Side effects remain the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help you with? ## Has anyone out there heard of a brand new formulation called Oxycontin RF I got a letter from Purdue( I have been bugging them forever- so they have my address in records.) The letter was addressed to a person of the same last name as me, but different first name, and it got sent ...

What does the 4212 and cursive v stand for. The number is onthe opposite sideof the pill ## Hello, William! How are you? The V is a manufacturer's logo and the 4212 lets someone research it to confirm what the tablets contain. For instance, this one is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 750mgs of Methocarbamol, which is a muscle relaxant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

hydrochlorot 12.5mg. capsule what is it used for ## hydroco apap 5-500 tablet how effective is it ## Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg is used to lower blood pressure. You can read more about it on the page . As for Hydorco APAP 5-500, that stands for the combination of Hydrocodone 5 mg + Acetaminophen 500 mg. This is a strong narcotic pain reliever and it is generic for Vicodin. For somebody who has not built up a tolerance to opiates it is usually very strong and effective at treating pain. A word of warning, however, is that it is potentially habit forming. More information can be read about this on the page for . Do you have any other questions or information to add? What does the letter c indicate at the beginning of an RC number ## It may be an initial for the manufacturer, which could translate into any number of pharmaceutical companies that start with a C. Unfortunately without seeing the entire label first hand, I think all anyone can do is guesstimate what it truly stands for. Whereabouts did you get your prescription filled? CVS or Rite Aid? If you ever get an opportunity to ask the pharmacy that gave it to you, kindly post back here with any updates, so we can all figure this riddle out...

What does the MEQ stand for? I know MG, and Mcg, but I have never heard of MEQ before ## Hello, Jackie! How are you? It stands for milliequivalents, the prefix milli denotes that the measure has been multiplied by 1,000. The FDA classifies this as a supplement, it can be very harsh on the stomach and should be taken with food. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for your answer. My husband had a Heart Attack several years ago and while he was in the hospital the doctor only gave him 150 mg and then reduced it to 75 mg. They also said really high doses could cause heart stoppage. My Potassium was 3.1 and according to the report I got said that 3.4 was normal and I can't really see 1500 mg of Potassium was necessary. What is your opinion.

I bought a pain-o-soma- from India does it have any norco pain meds in it? ## From India anything goes, it can have poison for all you know. The only prescription with Soma and a pain killer you will find from a legit source is Soma compound which has codeine in it ## Hello, Mark! How are you? The FDA lists it as containing Carisoprodol, which is a muscle relaxant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. I am wondering if this oblong white pill with L014 on it is an opiate? Is it a Lortab heard it was generic brand ## NO THIS IS NOT A PRESCRIPTION DRUG OF ANY KIND Pills with the L marking on them are manufactured by LNK International, they only manufacture over the counter products which are sold by stores as generics or store brands. L 014 is nothing more than a generic Extra Strength Tylenol, Acetaminophen 500mgs. ## It's tylenol, and no, the L does not stand for Lortab

yellow white small capsule with ETHEX written on yellow and041 on the white half of capsule ## what is this capsule white and yellow ethex 041 thanks ## ETHEX 041 = Oxycodone Capsules - 5mg (without Acetaminophen). Pain killer, for maximum effect take with 500mg Acetaminophen. ## The Acetaminophen has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the Oxycodone. It is only added into some of the pills so you have an added anti-inflammatory. ## That is not entirely correct, Acetaminophen is an anti-inflammatory as well as anti-pyretic among other things but it is also a stand alone pain reliever and is well established as a potentiator of nearly all opiates.

The P stands for the pharmaceutical company who makes it. But its oxycontin. If you'd never taken it before, I wouldnt if I were u. Unless prescribed by a dr. they are addicting. And I'm not saying it lightly. You get dependent on em very fast. Sorry. Im.sure you weren't looking for my opinion of the pill, but rather just the answer to your question. Its a 40mg oxycontin ## That is correct, this is a 40mg Oxycontin tablet, even though the manufacturer describes the color as yellow, it is much more a peach/tan color. It is a very potent narcotic analgesic that may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constip...

HELP. MY DOC TOLD ME TO DO YOGA instead of getting back Surgery ??????????????? MRI SHOW 5 buldging, herniated, Narrowing nurve space. Want walk, sit, stand more then 5 min at a time. Severe Pain with Sciatica. Is my doctor just being lazy?????? Going for 2nd opinion asap. What do YOU THINK? ## Hello, LeeLee! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. I can't speak for your doctor, I don't know if they were being lazy, or if they think yoga actually helps with this type of problem. However, I do agree that you should get a second opinion. Proper treatment is imperative to restore your quality of life and prevent it from worsening. Sadly, there are some yoga poses that might actually worsen the problem, rather than help. Have you tried physical therapy?

I'm no relationship expert here, but if I could suggest anything at all, the first thing I would personally do in such a situation is completely cut any ties with your ex, since that's where the problem seems to be stemming from. If they decided to keep her letter on file under your name, then it may be a good idea to really try and work with other doctors to regain some level of trust...

I have a low tolerance to pain and a high tolerance to opoids. 8 years ago I hurt my back, suffered a Lisfranc fracture of left foot with med-foot fusion, and now permanent nerve damage down my left leg due to complications. Wa. St. legislature has decided that they know better about my pain than I or my DR do. I have been forced to reduce to 90 Mg total per day and am in severe pain again, and now have arthritis in my left hip as well. Will Tramadol or something else help me? I cannot stand this pain anymore, I can barely walk. And where do I get it? Thank you ## Hello, JR! How are you? I am so sorry that you're in pain! What are you taking? Wife has RA and has tried many different NSAIDs to relieve pain and reduce swelling. We don't want to take the standard RA Meds as the side effects are bad as well. Due to intense pain a few nights ago, I let her use some of my hydrocodone with acetaminophen and woke up feeling better than she had in months. What part of the drug is responsible for reducing the inflammation and then the pain to allow her to use her hands and walk. Are there other options we should look at for her pain/inflammation? Many of the NSAIDs haven't worked effectively for her. ## Hello, Todd! How are you and your wife? need a doctor who prescribes methadone and takes medicaid on the west side of columbus. its for my daughter and her boyfriend. ## Hello, Jeff! How are you? A regular doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment. The only option for that is a Methadone clinic. That is the way the law currently stands. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you have a clinic nearby?

Yes, many doctors get up in the new wonder drug hype, I understand why, since they want to help their patients, but sometimes extra caution would be the best approach, in my opinion….but that's just my opinion. Does Watson make a generic 750/325ES If not why? Because all I can fine so far is the generic of 750/500 and would like to use less than 500. ## The ES stands for extra strength, so any version of this medication with the ES designation is going to have more Acetaminophen in it, since that's the intent. And yes, Watson actually does make a 7.5/325mg tablet. It is oval and peach in color with the marking WATSON over 3203 on one side and a score line on the opposite side of the tablet. Learn more Vicodin details here. However, if you're doctor has prescribed the 7.5/500 dosage, that is all any pharmacy is going to offer you, because you can't change the dosage yourself.
