RECENTLY BROUGHT IN NEW SCRIPT FOR OPANA 10 MG IR. THE PHARMACIST OLD ME THAT ENDO IS NOT GOING TO MANUFACTURE THIS PILL ANY LONGER. IS THIS TRUE AND WHAT DO THE USERS OF THESE PILLS DO NOW?? ARE THEY ALSO GOING TO DO AWAY WITH THE OPANA ER 20 MG.??? ## The name brand is on back order and has been for a very long time however Roxanne Labs makes a generic that in my opinion works even better & I usually never take any generics. I have been on Opana for 4 years now and have been happy with the Generic vs the Endo brand. Plus ever since Endo change the ER Formula I am more then happy to not give them my business

I have been prescribed opana 40mg for almost two yrs. I really wanted to be optimistic about the new formula but it does not work! Very little to no pain relief from these plastic pills! Now I'm spending sooo much time online looking for an alternative, but not having much luck. Nothing out there equivalent? How could Endo turn a great med into the worst?? I understand the need to make safer, but this is crazy...extreme! Why make them at all? Can anyone suggest a medication that I can switch to?? ## Have you talked to your doctor? You might be able to try an equal dosage of Oxycontin, though most users of it have similar complaints due to the reformulation. I think the only option left that hasn't been changed recently is Ms Contin, which contains a time released formulation of ...

The new Opana's are terrible! I swallow mine like you're supposed to and I see the entire pill in my poop when I go! I HAVE BEEN IN WITHDRAWALS AND HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND GET REAL MEDICINE :/ PLEASE GET THE PILLS FIXED SO i CAN GET OUT OF BED AGAIN... ## I'm really sorry to hear about what you're going through; please note, however, that this is an information only site. this site does not manufacture, buy or sell any products of any kind. If you wish to file a complaint about the new Opana's, I would strongly recommend contacting the manufacturer directly to get your voice heard. If you know the imprint on your pill, I can look up the manufacturer for you and post their contact information. I would also suggest checking out a number of threads within this for...

I can no longer get my generic 30 mg opana and am looking for a new doctor, im in upstate ny. please reply if you have any info that could help. Thanks so much. ## Why is your current doctor no longer prescribing it? Have you considering seeing a pain management specialist? Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I heard there is a newly formulated opana er, is this true? Do they make you sick like the newly formulated oxycontin? ## For some people, yes it does appear to be as problematic as the new Oxycontin. There have been very similar complaints that range from its not working as well as the old formulation, to its being said to cause odd side effects. Learn more Opana information here. However, what you have to remember is that the people posting on any given website are a very small percentage of the number taking any given medication. And the reason they were looking for the site to post, is because they were having a problem, the people that take it without a problem usually aren't posting. Are there any other questions or comments?

I am amazed that people are so ignorant of what constitutes a narcotic. I grew up when opana(sp?) were made by Endo and looked exactly like a Percodan and responded to water the same. Pharmacies carried coke and like Dilaudid in liquid and powdered form. Those were the days. ## You "grew up" ??? Um, Opana is pretty new,so I'm not sure how you grew up and taking this med do young? All drugs respond to water! Sounds like you've hit your Opana bottle too hard, lady!

I'm moving to Vassar, Michigan in a few months and I'm looking for many types of doctors. Bay City, Saginaw, Michigan are some of the bigger city near to Vassar which is a very small city with hardly any doctors. I need a PCP, pain management, ENT, gastroenterologists, neurologist, urologist, nephrologist, hepatologist, cardiologist, and pulmonologist. I'm take 39 medications daily which means I take 87 pills a day plus inhalers, nasal sprays, nebulizer, and inj's. I have been seeing some of these doctors for 20+ years and have great relationships with them. I been seeing the pain management doctor for 7 years. I take Opana ER, oxycodone/apap, Lyrica, and a muscle relaxer. I know not all PM doctors will prescribe the same medications or Narcotic pain medications but I ha...

I have CIDP which is a chronic pain syndrome illness and I was being treated by a neurologist who recently had to stop prescribing under the DEA rules unless he turned in the pain management doctor himself and he did not want to do that. Can anyone tell me a pain management doctor or just a doctor in Pittsburgh or New Castle area who write pain medications based on previous medical records. I would truly appreciate it. the old oxys were better when on the new ones it got worse why change it?on opana er 30's was onoxy 60s opana DOES NOTHING WHY? ## what does a roxi 224 look like ## Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is very effective for some people, but like any medication, it doesn't work for everyone. Have you tried talking to your doctor to see what else you can try? If the new Oxycontin formulation isn't working for you, perhaps you should try MS Contin? It is a form of time released Morphine. The 30mg Oxycodone pill with the marking 224 on it should be round and blue, with the 224 on one side. It is a generic for Roxicodone, which is a regular release formulation. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Are there ...

why is the new opana 40 not strong like the old ones the new opanes40 are about equal to a percets 10 if that. Someone need to look into it i have been taking them for about 5yrs they are not strong at all like the old opana thank ## They changed the formulation, to help prevent abuse, similar to what was done with Oxycontin and, just like then, it seems that the new formulation just doesn't work as well for some people, though in theory, it is supposed to. Have you discussed the problem with your doctor?

Does anyone know of pain clinics that take out of state patients? Also looking to get put on opanas, or something like that. Been on loratab 1000's for 15 years and they don't do the job anymore. I realy hope someone out there knows someplace in GA or TN. Hope to hear from you soon and thanks. ## First off, there are no Lortab tablets that contain 1,000mgs of anything. And next is a question, why aren't you looking in your home state? Even if you do find a doctor that will treat you, when you're from out of state, most pharmacies will not fill your prescription under such circumstances. ## I am looking for a pain management dr in the Saginaw area who takes out of state claims from New Jersey, I' m thinking about relocating from Delaware. I got hurt in 93 and have bn ...

How can I get my Dr. to understand I've built a tolerance to pain meds. Same dosage for 2 yrs . 80mgs of oxycontin and 30mgs of opana daily . I have severe osteoarthritis bursitis and fibromyaliga. Dr. says that's the maxi he can give me. Should I look for another pain Dr.?? ## What is the difference in the old oxycontin and the new?? How can I tell which I have? ## Gigi4121! How are you? The new Oxycontin tablets were reformulated to help make them more abuse proof and the old ones are no longer being manufactured, so it is fairly safe to say that if you've gotten them filled within the past year, you have the new tablets. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an...

I need to pass positive for NORCO 10/325 and Opana 30 mg. Could I not take them and shave a little off both in my urine and pass? ## In most cases, that will not work for passing a urine test, since they also look for the metabolites and not just the presence of the drug and the metabolites only appear after it has been processed through your body. Learn more Norco details here. Learn more Opana details here. Are there any other comments or questions? ## Just take the Damn pills ## Doubtful on the newer tests, and it iswhat test is being used. Pain Maingement look at the creation (sp) level. It can tell if and how it was broken down by your body. Good luck though.

Has anyone that takes Opana ER ONLY had a problem with Oxycodone showing up on urine drug testing? ## This is the post to my above question, The same happened to me... I've been on Opana ER since 3/2007, never worried about UDT, never had a problem. I moved to Central Florida, new DR said UDT showed no med then sent out, came back positive Oxymorphone 13,456ng/ml and positive for Oxycodone Opana.com and a Opana search on Wiki will confirm this. I hate this for everyone whose Doctors discharge without checking with the labs. Oxycodone metabolites should show positive with the Oxymorphone....hope this helps ## The Dr. said he called Quest before he came in to fire me! ## Thank you for your response Terry. I have looked where you suggested for the information and can't find where i...

Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Do you have any other questions? ## There now is a generic Opana available.
