I have two different letters TAB on bottle one is ZYD and other is C04 what does this mean same medication and strength? ## I'm sorry, but your post is somewhat confusing. xy on pill bottle?
I was recently perscribed tylonal 3s with codine for pain for an absess in my tooth and on the bottle hand written in black pen is the letters xy what does that mean ## Also I was perscribed penicilian at the same time and there is nothing hand written on that bottle ## Those types of markings are just used by the pharmacy to show that the prescription and tablet count were double checked for accuracy. Learn more Acetaminophen details here. Learn more Codeine details here. It's often done with any medications that contain narcotics or other controlled substances, especially if the prescription was originally handled by a pharmacy technician. That marking shows that an actual pharmacist double checked everything, before you were given the pills. It's really an extra way for the p... ...

What Does Sod Mean On A Prescription
What does the sod stand for on phenytoin sod ext its a 100 mg purple and white capsule ## Why is it becoming more difficult to find xanax on The streets? ## What does SOD DR EC mean on the Diclofenac bottle? ## The SOD stands for Sodium, it designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, that's why some list sodium, some list hydrochloride and etc. As to the DR on a prescription, just like XR, SR, ER and quite a few others, it designates that medication as being time released. As to the EC, from what I've found, it's used similar to ES, DS and etc. to designate that as being an extra strength dosage, rather than the standard prescribed amount. Are there any other questions or comments? ...

what does 100 MCG mean vs 0.1 MG
I ran out of synthroid. It shows 0.1MG. I got a temporary bottle that shows 100MCG. Are they the same? ## Hi Lucille, Conversion tools verify that 100mcg (micrograms) is actually equal to 0.1mg (milligrams), so you should have nothing to worry about as far as taking the correct dosage is concerned. If you were given the temporary bottle by another pharmacy, that could explain why they used a different measurement than you were used to seeing. I hope this helps! ...

what is the meaning of hcl in front apap
on one of my prescriptions on the bottle it says OXYCODON HCL-APAP 10/325 and the pill is oblong. I had them refilled and the bottle says OXYCODONE-APAP 10-325 and the pill is round. So what I want to know is what the HCL stands for and are these the same medications? ## Hello, Anne! How are you? Yes, they are the same. The HCL just stands for Hydrochloride and designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, they just didn't include it on the one label. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

what numbers would you find on a prescription bottle for labetalol identifying it as that drug. ## what numbers would you find on a prescription bottle of lamitcal? ## What numbers are you referring to? what is the thickening of mastoid boner and how does it affect hearing
I have been having fluid in my ears since May and have take three bottles of nasial spray 2 different antibodics and 2 boxes of mucinex d and my dr order ct scan. The results says i have a thickening of the mastoid bone. What is the treatment for this and will my ears ever clear up? ## Hello, Mert! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you'r having. Such thickening is common, when someone experiences a problem that becomes chronic, like yours has. It means it has become inflamed and you may need to have a tube inserted in your ear to allow the fluid to drain. Letting it remain untreated can create the risk of nerve damage that could cause facial paralysis, meningitis and other serious health complications. Have you consulted an ENT, yet? With proper treatment, your ears ... ...

Teva Amoxicillin What Does It Treat
I have a brand new persciption of teva- amoxicillin ,, I had a gum infection,,within two pills the pain was gone and I have this bottle full.. I now have temperature with which I believe I have a chest infection,, will this medication help. ## Amoxicillin is an antibiotic, which can be used to treat many different type of infections. However, you should finish the full course of the medication, as prescribed, even if you start to feel better, before you have finished. The pain may have went away, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the infection cleared up. Thus, you could be sick now, because it was never fully treated and has now spread to other parts of your body. In addition, only taking part of the prescription for an antibiotic creates the very real risk of developing antib... ...

A Sealed Bottle of Sun from another land, India?
I have not seen a sealed bottle in quite some time. Today the Doctor wrote for 100 2 MG and I got a full bottle. Now they're from India. Is this going to be a problem. How is Sun. Should I try one being that its from India and all? Are they safe. Answers to these questions would mean little to me as I have many Xanax from different makers made worldwide. Sure they might differ from time to time, but it is not like I have a choice when I visit my Pharmacy. Any FDA approved HORROR Stories about Sun, White Oblong 11? ## Great, I just checked our board and found out these Xanax pills are not liked by most. Well I'll put them in the back of the cue and pull out a new bottle. I am working on my 2011 supply. Another $1.93 possibly wasted (along with $20 to the doc!) ## Hello, Eddy! How... ...

BLUE PAIN PILL
FOUND A BOTTLE OF PILLS THAT SAY,HYDROCODONE, BUT THE PILLS ARE BLUE TABLETS WITH A=V ON ONE SIDE AND 35/97 ON THE OTHER. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THESE ARE?? ## thats a vicoden, or vallium think about it... ## First off let me state the your think about it doesn't mean anything. The V does not stand for any drug, it is the manufacturers logo for the pill maker which is Vintage/Qualitest! If you go around assuming that when you see a pill, you are going to get a big surprise when you take some of them!! I suppose then you think all pills marked with an M are morphine or perhaps Methadone? And the fact that the M is used on all of their products, including Ritalin and such, by the Manufacturer Mallinckrodt Pharmacueticals would be something you would completely ignore? ## Acetaminophen 650m... ...

Oblong White Pill With No Markings on either side
i found an unmarked box of these white, oblong shaped pills under my living room couch. They kind of remind me of whtat looks like an ibuprofin 800 but this pill has no score mark or markings of any sort on either side. If someone could help me out with this that would be great. ## go to Drugs. com to identify pills ## If there are no markings, we can rule it out as being a prescription medication, because they are all required to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency. That means it's most likely an over the counter product and the opens it up to several possibilities. I actually have a bottle of calcium tablets sitting here that resembles this. Learn more Calcium details here. But there are quite a few other things it could be as well, but being that la... ...

abreviations on perscription med bottles
im on ozycodone 10/325 i get 30 pills i can take every 4-6 hrs prn.. so i get a refill every 5 days. i thought ds standed for days supply but now im not sure usually it say no refill ds,:5 but now its says no refill ds:8 ## Hello, Darla! How are you? Yes, that is what it means. Since it's a PRN, the pharmacy is basically not expecting you to take them completely regularly, so they think you should get another couple of days out of each bottle. It isn't their decision though, it is the government that does this. If you do require them regularly, then you should speak to your doctor about writing it without the PRN. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

meaning of mg mcg
In relation to Vitamins-----A bottle of Solgar Vits. label says : B-Complex "100". The Supplement Facts Say: Vit. B6 100mg. What do the " " mean, and does the mg(lower case) mean Mg, MG, or mcg? Solgar didn't exactly answer my question. thank you for whatever your ans will be. ## Hello, Tracey! How are you? How many days are in one bottle taking it 3 times
How many days are in one bottle taking 3 times a day ## 90 ## Actually it depends on how many pills are in the bottle you are talking about, whatever amount your doctor wrote on your prescription, divided by 3. Some insurance plans allow a 90 day supply, some only a 30, so it really depends on how many are in the bottle you have and none of us can guess at that. If you look over the paperwork from your pharmacy from when you got your prescription, it will have a line on there that says Days Supply: and then a number and that will answer your question, or you can just ask your pharmacist if you can't locate the information on your own. I do see that Carol posted a response, but that is not necessarily correct, just because she received a 90day supply at once, doesn't mean everyon... ...
