I have "gle" on my prescription. It literally says "Gabapentin 600mg TAB GLE". It normally says Gabapentin 600mg TAB MET. I believe it's the abbreviation for the manufacturer, but I'd like to be sure before I take them, as they are a different shape. ## Hi Pattie, My research leads me to believe that GLE stands for Glenmark Pharmaceuticals or Glenmark Generics, the packager/manufacturer of your Gabapentin. NDC: 68462-0126 Inactive Ingredients: Inactive Ingredients: -Starch, Corn -Copovidone K25-31 -Poloxamer 407 -Magnesium Stearate -Polyethylene Glycols -Hypromelloses -Titanium Dioxide -Talc -Polysorbate 80 -Water You can view an image of the packaging label by visiting the link below: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=3865a6e3-112c-490c-82ac-3540...

What does the letter c indicate at the beginning of an RC number ## It may be an initial for the manufacturer, which could translate into any number of pharmaceutical companies that start with a C. Unfortunately without seeing the entire label first hand, I think all anyone can do is guesstimate what it truly stands for. Whereabouts did you get your prescription filled? CVS or Rite Aid? If you ever get an opportunity to ask the pharmacy that gave it to you, kindly post back here with any updates, so we can all figure this riddle out...

My Atorvastatin from the same pharmacy (Walmart) had GRE on the label one time and LEG on the same medicine the next time. What does GRE and LEG mean? Are they different? ## No, it is the same medication, those are just abbreviations for the manufacturers, since this is a generic. For example, the GRE usually stands for Greenstone, which is the name of a pharmaceutical manufacturer. The FDA lists the typical side effects for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches. Is there anything else I can help with?

My script is labeled "Oxycodone Tab 5mg RHO Generic For Roxicodone 5MG TAB". What does the RHO stand for? ## Hello, Denny! How are you? The RHO is an abbreviation for the manufacturer, Rhodes Pharmaceuticals. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have three same issue my script use to say oxycodone 15mg Hcl now it says RHO in place of the Hcl. I find it extremely strange. That it all of a sudden changed ## I was told rho was that it didn't have Ibprofein which to much of that is not good for your liver. so the rho doesnt have additives that could give you liver trouble. I get my blood checked all the t...

i recently got my prescription of hydrocodon 7.5-500. some of them say m385 and some say L484. is this a error by the pharmacy ## Did you mean to say M358 instead of M385? If so, the pill which you are describing is in fact Acetaminophen (500 mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (7.5 mg) as you described. L484 only contains Acetaminophen (500 mg). This sounds like it is an error by the pharmacy. If you haven't already addressed this issue, I would definitely recommend going over there to let them know what happened and see if you can get your money back or receive an equal amount of Hydrocodone to supplement the difference in pills.

Given to me by Pharmacy 12 December. My usual Enalapril Maleate Ta 10mg (ACE) pill is a light salmon coloured triangular shaped pill. I fear I have been given wrong medication. Shall go back to the chemists. ## Hello, Annie! How are you? This is a generic medication, which means it's manufactured by quite a few different companies, so your pharmacy most likely just provided you with a different one that you used to receive. But yes, please check with them to be sure if you're worried. Are there any markings on the tablet?

So my question is this the label on bottle says to take one soft gel 1 to 5 times a day with meals, and its 1000mg. Is it only one pill needed or 5 pills? ## Hello, Audrey! How are you? Did you mean 1,000 micrograms? Biotin isn't dosed in milligrams. Those instructions mean that you can take anywhere from one to 5 per day. This is classified by the FDA as a nutritional supplement, but since a deficiency in it is so rare, there actually isn't an RDA for it, but most supplements recommend 5,000mcgs per day. The FDA doesn't list any known side effects, but if you have any medical conditions or are on any medications, please check with your doctor, before taking it. ## Usually biotin or any other vitamins comes in micrograms not milligrams! If you take over 5000 micrograms you c...

In relation to Vitamins-----A bottle of Solgar Vits. label says : B-Complex "100". The Supplement Facts Say: Vit. B6 100mg. What do the " " mean, and does the mg(lower case) mean Mg, MG, or mcg? Solgar didn't exactly answer my question. thank you for whatever your ans will be. ## Hello, Tracey! How are you? My best guess is that the "100" is just part of the name to emphasize that it's a complete B complex supplement. And the mg just means milligram, as it usually does. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I am taking 5000mcg once a day of B12, 5000mcg ? ..*Sublingual Am I actually getting 5000 mg worth?

I'd get a second opinion or maybe a third too before switching manufacturers of Fioricet. Suicide is huge with these drugs and there is no way to figure out who is going to be affected. It also changes the brain. It could potentially cause them lifelong difficulty. No one will tell you the awful adverse effects of coming off them. I would check for a vitamin and mineral deficiency, gut bacterial imbalance, possible brain injury and most importantly look at the environment and the people around you. Please exhaust all other possible causes before starting this drug meant for adult brains. It could be an infection like strep or inflammation from an immune system that won't shut down. You need to know big pharma is pushing doctors to prescribe off-label for the sole purpose of incr...

Purdue Pharma website has official statement on reformulation of Oxycontin. They claim there is no difference in effectiveness between old OC and new OP labeled pills. They quote The reformulation has met FDA criteria for bioequivalence to the original formulation, which means there is no significant difference in the rate and extent of absorption of the therapeutic ingredient. Then they go on to say, Purdue elected to reformulate OxyContin® to be bioequivalent to the original formulation and in an effort to make the tablet more difficult to manipulate for the purpose of intentional misuse and abuse, however, there is no evidence that the reformulation of OxyContin is less subject to misuse, abuse, diversion, overdose or addiction. I take 80mg 4/day. (or should say used to take) No...

These pills were prescribed for my wife. It says Levothyroxine 50mcg on the bottle label. It has sodium as well. We got it from walmart. ## The actual name of the medication is Levothyroxine Sodium, that doesn't mean it actually contains any significant amount of sodium, that just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, you may see some other medication generic names followed by Hydrochloride, or Sulfate. This medication is used to treat thyroid disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, mood changes, and hair loss. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have several hydroc/apap prescriptions (syrup), and I can't remember if they are cough suppressants or not. I don't want to take it for my back pain if it is a cough syrup. I can't swallow pills, so I get the syrup form, and I don't want to take a cough syrup. The liquid is yellowish. Can anyone help me decipher the label? What does ELXQUAL mean? Also, how strong is one teaspoon...what pill strength would you compare it to. ## Hydrocodone with APAP (Acetaminophen) is used to treat both pain, and as a cough suppressant. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and dry mouth. The other abbreviations just stand for the type of mix, and the manufacturer. How much have you bee...

I was accused of self medicating because i ran short on my meds at time of appt. this happened because i simply misunderstood the as needed part on bottle label and took a few at times when the meds wore off after 4 hours. I was supposed to take 1 every 6 hours only so the label mislead me, they cut me loose after a year of dealing with them with nothing to get me to another clinic and simply stated that i was a high risk. i think the main reason they cut me off is due to the fact that i have major respiratory issues so i guess this tells me that no one will help me over this and i guess it means that i will have to just die in major pain because they don't want to help me over these issues. so what am i supposed to do next? any light on this subject would be greatly appreciated. th...

can i take gentilax if im pregnant for consipation? ## Hi miriam, According to a clinical trial posted on PubMed, "phenolphthalein treatment in pregnant women associates with a higher risk for Hirschsprung's disease in their children, but this finding is only a signal which needs confirmation or rejection in other studies." NOTE: this drug is labeled under Pregnancy "Category C" meaning - Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks. With all that said, I would probably consider some (natural) dietary options for treating constipation as opposed to any prescription medications. Just to p...

My mom was taking a generic oxycodone for months it was not Activist. I pick up her scripts and know Activis is toxic from my own experience. The label read Mallinkot it looked different as the strength. Was increased. She said it did not help her pain despite the higher dose. She began to complain of itching too. After several days she was really sick with a swollen face BAD. Called MD several times. I told her to stop the pain med as this was the only thing new. MD prescribed Benadryl and new script for pain. In the meantime looking at her old pill bottle the pills did not match the label description. Looked them up and they were Activist A332. Went to CVSThey only weakly apologized for the error. Since then now my mom is in the hospital with the Actions reaction!!! Super expensive lo...
