topiramate 50mg tab zyu ## Hello, Sally! How are you? That's an abbreviation for the manufacturer, or licensed distributor that provided the medication to your pharmacy, it stands for Zydus Pharmaceuticals. The FDA lists this medication as being used to prevent seizures and treat migraines. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and weight loss. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is there a difference between 7.5 MG Tab zyd And just 7.5 MG? ## Hi Teresa, Based on my research, "zyd" apparently stands for the manufacturer (Zydus Pharmaceuticals USA) and should correspond with a National Drug Code of 68382-050. I guess on some labels pharmacies feel the need to include the name/abbreviation of the company who makes it, as a secondary means of reference.. Especially since so many people are now coming to terms with the fact that certain manufacturers produce better quality meds than others. I hope this info helps!

One bottle says Simbastatin 10mg tab NOR and the refill says Simbastatin 10mg tab ZYD The one with the ZYD is pink and say ZA20 on the pill and the other one,NOR, is white, round and has a 10 on it. Are these the same? ## Those are just abbreviations for the names of the manufacturers of those particular tablets. For example, the ZYD stands for Zydus Pharmaceuticals. Are there any other questions or comments? ## My pharmacist always tells me when he gives me a medication by a different vendor so that I won't be worried and he also puts a sticker on the bottle stating it looks different but it's the same medication. ## What does NOR on a bottle of prescription meds mean?

How should these pills be taken ..I have to take it 3 times a day so my question is how many hours apart?..Right now I am taking it 5 hours apart..9:30 ..2:30 and 7:30 is this ok? ## It's usually meant to be taken with your meals, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise, since it's used to help control blood sugar. Generally, it should be taken just before you start eating, so it has a chance to start working, by the time you are digesting your food. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with?
