I have been taking Metoprolol Succ ER 50 MG from Tasan for 2 years, and now CVS changed my prescription to Taeth. Is it true as CVS stated that Tasan has been discontinued? Has anyone changed from Tasan to Taeth? ## TASAN simply stands for a Tablet manufactured by Sandoz pharmaceuitcals, TAETH means this tablet is manufactured by Ethex pharmaceuticals. I do not know if the other one has been discontinued, but they are the same medication. ## CVS recently changed my 100mg dose of Metoprolol Succ TASAN to TAETH 50 mg x2 - with the same story as you got about TASAN supposedly discontinuing the 100 MG dose. To me it seems they're simply using up their supply so I get to take horse pills times two a day this month.. I mean really thanks CVS lol ## I picked up my metoprol 50mg. At cvs. Mf...

Does SA mean that this is an extended release pill ???? ## Means Sustained Release. ## Yes, SA stands for sustained action, which is another way to state that it is a time released formulation. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination. Is there anything I can help with?

Because of recall and side effect I want to stop. How ## Hello, Rae! How are you? What recall? I'm not showing anything since June of last year. What types of side effects are you experiencing? This is a beta blocker that is listed by the FDA as being most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and hypotension. However, side effects are usually transient and go away in a few weeks, once your body adjusts to the medication. If you have high blood pressure, I strongly urge you not to stop it, before speaking with your doctor to replace it with a different medication. While the side effects may be annoying, in the meantime, letting your blood pressure soar out of ...

I was in a rear end car accident which left me with horrific pain on the left side of my neck and down into my shoulder and arm. I've had numerous tests, but nothing comes up as wrong. My pain doctor, who is also an anesthesiologist, believes the problem has to do with nerve damage in my facet joints which does not show on tests. It can only be diagnosed post mortem. The pain is horrible and growing. I'm in the process of going through nerve block testing and if that is successful he will destroy those nerves. Meanwhile, I've been on various pain meds. I was just taken off 40mgs of Oxycodone per day and put on Oxycontin 15mgs 3 times per day. It seems to be less effective than the Oxycodone. I was taken off the Oxycodone because it wasn't working as well after taking it ...

I have been on 65 for 14 yrs. After jail and prescription chasing, it finally allowed me to maintain my job, and lead a normal life! Yes, it would be nice not to be dependent on anything, and sometimes it does get me down. But the trade off seems more than fair! Does anyone have any sort of story? I would love to hear it. By the way...I've always taken it when suppose to and how im suppose to. That may be part of the solution. Waiting and hoping .....DJ ## Hi DJ, hope all is well. I've seen quite a few methadone success stories browsing through forums here over the years and I must say that I think you have the right attitude about it to achieve what your own vision of success may be and what success through this situation means to you while managing pain, etc. But being able to...

Hello, I am currently 32 weeks pregnant, I am prescribed 10 mg Subutex a day, but really only take an average of 4 mg a day, sometimes less. I really had my mind set on coming off completely before I deliver and my doctor is 100% ok with me doing that if I feel comfortable doing it myself. I'm looking for success stories. So if you tapered off while pregnant please, your reassurance would mean so much to me. I have trouble sleeping because my guilt eats me alive ?? Please let me know there is hope and that coming off subutex completely before delievering my baby girl is possible! Thank you! -B ## Hey i see there's no replies yet but i wanted to offer some words, not sure if ill help much. My daughter is 15 months. How to best space taking contrave, Example; 9am&9pm... Again , I want to know the best times to take apetite suppressant;contrave ## The best option in my opinion is to simply follow your doctors recommendation for the prescription they wrote you. However any adjustments to the time of day in which it is taken should be solely up to you based on how it affects you. Not everyone responds to these medications in a similar manner though - and therefore only you can be the best judge of when to take it through trial and error. If for example the doses are meant to be taken twice daily (but offer no other instructions), perhaps it would be a good idea to try taking it in the morning and afternoon for a week, then try morning and evening for the following week, etc, and sort of take an ob...

Does it matter if I take Contrave before or after my meal? I have been taking it for a month now, but have had no success so far with weight loss. I take it after I eat, and I'm wondering if I should switch to take it before I eat. ## Hello, Bethann! How are you? From what I'm finding listed, they say it should be taken with a meal, which means just before you start eating, or while you're eating, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

I use to take lopressor, the long pink pill. They switched me to metoprolol succinate 2 yrs ago. I liked the brand name lopressor better as it had no side effects and kept my blood pressure down. The insurance company said they stopped making the original lopressor then. But now I heard they are back on the market. Does anyone know this answer? ## From what I can tell, it is still available, but that doesn't necessarily mean that your insurance will cover it for you, since the generics are usually cheaper. What type of side effects have you been experiencing? The FDA lists the typical ones as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. How long have you been taking your current dosage? You may need a dosage adjustment, or to try a different ...

What kind of reaction am I to expect from taking 30mg of vyvanse & 16mg of subutex &125mg of librium on a daily basis? I feel well balanced out, outgoing & confident. I am well focused & Function on the top of my game. ## The main concern is the mixing of the Librium and Vyvanse, since they can both increase serotonin levels, if they go too high, it can lead to a possibly fatal condition called serotonin syndrome. That doesn't mean they can't be taken together, successfully, but that your doctor must carefully calculate your doses and should be monitoring your regularly to watch for any possible problems. Side effects may include dizziness, insomnia, nervousness, mood swings and weight loss. Is there anything else I can help with? ## i am prescribed adderall 30mg...

Are Metoprolol TAB 50 mg. ER (white) the same? as Metoprolol-TART 50 mg. TAB leg (pink)? What is the difference? ## I got a RX filled Small round pill with 831 and small arrow like symbol ## I have Metoprolol succinate extended-release (50 mg) white tablets but was prescribed Losartan 50mg Pot a green tablet. Are these the same. I just noticed this and I am urinating every hour day and night. I am 64 and take lipitor 10mg and Glimepiride 4mg each at one tab per day. ## In regards to the original post no, from what was listed those are not the same. The ER stands for extended release, which means the medication will be slowly released into the body over time, rather than all at once. The other tablet listed doesn't have anything showing that it's in such a formulation, which mean...

If you've already tried the natural supplements and they haven't worked, then trying hormones is really the only option you have left. I am an opioid patient and when I can't get relief a friend told me that taking 400mgs of gabapentin helps the sickness. is anyone being prescribed scopolamine off-label for depression? the NIMH is doing clinical trials for same and apparently it works, however my p-doc won't prescribe it for me. ## Since it is only in clinical trials, this does not necessarily mean that it works for depression. The trials may be showing some positive results, so far, but there is a lot more involved to making sure it is working and safe to be used that way. As to your doctor not prescribing it, that is entirely up to him. He is not obligated to prescribe something, just because you learned some information on it and want him to do so. What are you currently taking? ## Yes. I was in the study back in 2006 and have been successfully depression free thanks to scopolamine, taken only for a few days every 3-4 months, with...
