What Does Red Oralcon Pill Do

Hi, I just got my first Oralcon tablet and I'm on my second period so I don't know which tablet to take. I just want to know if you only take the red pill if you're on your period then when white if you're not? ## If you are new to taking them, you should take them in order, as prescribed, whether you are bleeding, or not. Irregular bleeding can be a side effect of the tablets, when you first start them, and should go away with time, once your body gets used to the change in your hormone levels. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi. I'm an Oralcon user and just wanna understand, I've taken five red pills but nothing is happening. I just want to know if I might be pregnant or what? I had period pains when I took the first one. ## Hi Laura, When it comes to any form of hormonal contraceptive, it's important to understand that they can all cause irregular or missed periods as a common side effect. This is just the nature of what happens when your hormones fluctuate. It seems that this side effect concerns many users here on the site, as I see it posted fairly often - but in reality there's nothing to be overly concerned about when "nothing happens". Most labels for these types of medications suggest that if the tablets have been taken as directed, this will almost certainly not mean that th...

Hi there, I was on my red pills when i had unprotected intercourse with my bf which was just 4 days before my expected periods. what are the possibilities of getting pregnant when on the red pills (Oralcon)? ## Hello, Noli! How are you? Are these the ones with the 3 rows of white pills and then one week of red at the end? Some may be different in some countries, that's why I'm asking. If that is correct, those are placebo tablets and that's intended to be your period week and you wouldn't risk pregnancy that week. As long as you didn't miss taking any of your active tablets, then you were still protected. ## Ohh,alright, I was afraid that I was at risk since I've heard that the red pills have no hormones. ## can i fall pregnant while using red tablet on oralcon.a...

This is my first time using the Oralcon. 1. I'm currently breastfeeding my 5 month old baby and I realized when I started the pill my milk production is less. Could the pill be the cause. Also 2. I've taken all 21 of the white pills and I'm on my third red pill and my period is here. Do I stop taking the red pills and start taking another set of white ones or do I continue taking the red pills until its finished before I start another pack? ## Hello, Kimmy! How are you? Yes, you should continue taking them and then start a new pack once you finish this one, according to the NIH. As to milk production, the NIH does not that anything that may affect your hormones could also change your milk production. Is your baby still being adequately fed? Are you on any other medications? ...

I accidentally drank my white pill while on my period (Supposed to drink red) without thinking. What do i do? just go on finishing my red pill and then start as usual whit white? will i be unsafe? ## In most cases, a doctor will just have you continue taking the rest, as you should, but it is always best to consult them to be sure. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, irregular bleeding, and PMS-like symptoms. How are you doing? Did you experience any problems? ## Hi. I have gone on the Depo injection about 3 weeks ago and have been getting me periods non stop. I was advised to drink the white Oralcon Pill for a day or 2. Will this help my period to stop? Seriously in need for it to stop now. ## Hi , I am using oralcon p...

I had an emergency pill about 3 weeks before i started using the Oralcon pills, and took my 1st pill on the 2nd day of my menstruation, although my periods were not normal because of the emergency pill, but i still had my periods at that time, with less bleeding than usual. I'm on my 3rd pack of the Oralcon pills now, and i never had any periods since my 2nd pack, even when I'm on the red pills. I'm worried now, i want my periods back. Is there any possibility that I'm pregnant? I never skipped any pills and i always took them at the same time everyday. Or its it because i started using the Oralcon pills with abnormal periods? Please help.. ## Hello, Judith! How are you? Some women just don't have periods while taking hormonal contraceptives like this, there's no...

Am using oralcon for the first time. I just wanted to know when will I have my periods because I am now taking the red pill, am on the 3rd pill, but still nothing. Am now worried, can I be pregnant? ## Usually when you first start taking birth control, it's contraceptive effects generally don't take full effect until the first couple weeks or month after you begin treatment. Although I think this long time frame/waiting period may vary according to the brand. I'm not sure if your doctor or gynecologist also mentioned this, but irregular periods and missed periods are common side effects associated with these types of medications. This is largely due to the fluctuation in hormone levels, which ultimately have a direct impact on your menstrual cycles. Have you taken a pregnanc...

Today when i suppose to start my white pill new batch there i get my period, So do i carry on with the white pill or what do i need to do. ## Oral contraceptives can cause irregular periods, as a side effect, according to NIH reports, along with nausea, headache, weight gain, and mood changes. Some women stop having periods, entirely, while taking them. According to normal instructions, you should continue taking them, as usual. Is there any change that you are pregnant? If I'm still using the white pill at the end of the week then i must start red but what can I do if don't want to menstruate at all? ## Hi i recently started oralcon pills and finished the white line and on the red line can i skip it i dont want to get my period just yet. ## If your doctor approves, you can skip the period week of pills, and just move on to a new pack of active tablets. Many women do so, when it would be inconvenient to have a period, such as if they are getting married, going on vacation, or etc. But there are no guarantees that it will work. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, weight changes, and PMS-like symptoms. Are there any other questions? ## Wanting to know. Hi There, I have been on Oralcon now for almost a year now. A couple days ago I was taking the red pills and I noticed I missed the last one. I took it 24 hours later with the first white one of the new pack. My question is will I be affected by missing one of the red pills? Will this decrease its effectiveness against preventing pregnancy? ## Hi, Megs! How are you? The red pills at the end of the pack are just placebo tablets that contain no active hormones, they are just meant to allow you to have a withdrawal bleed that week, so there is no harm in missing them. The sole reason they are included is to keep women in the habit of taking a pill each day, so they don't forget when it's time to start the new pack. So no, missing one or more of those ones doesn't matter, you do...

I have been taking oralcon pills for a month, now im on the 6th red pill and my period have started today and it normally goes for seven days so I want to know that after the last red pill If i continue with the white pills wont it stop my periods before the 7th day? Or should I take the red ones in the new packet? ## Hello, Grace! How are you? Your cycle may change, when taking oral contraceptives, so your period may not last a full 7 days, but that is okay, as long as your doctor doesn't see a reason to be concerned. Some women stop having periods altogether, while taking oral contraceptives, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms. Hey there , im not 100% sure on how oralcon works . Do you just keep taking the white pill until your period starts(even if its more then 21 days) and then move to the red(when it starts) or take the pack accordingly even if your period has not finished or started as yet , i have been taking the white pill for a month and 2 weeks and i still have not started my period, is this because i have not started the red pill even though im not on my period? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? When you're taking an oral contraceptive, your period is actually a withdrawal bleed, due to not having any hormones that week. So, you take the active tablets for 21 days, then the red for a week, to allow the withdrawal bleed (your period) to occur. Once finished with the red tablets, you go back to taking ...

Hi, my chemist sister did not have nordette in stock and said that oralcon is exactly the same as nordette and supplied me with 3 months supply. However, I have been semi bleeding as in brown and black blood from day 4 of taking these tablets- every single day. Some days a sudden blob of red blood came. I took my last white tablet today and have been wearing a sanitary pad whole way thru. Suppose to start with my normal period tomorrow. Is this normal? my system is very confused at the moment. ## Hello, Heloise! How are you? Has there been any change?
