Need to know what QUA and HER means on names of Medicene. ## Hi, Louise! How are you? Those are abbreviations for the relevant manufacturer, for instance, the QUA stands for Qualitest Pharmaceuticals. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was asked bye a friend if what he takes is a percocet or vicodin because his new pills are the v perc 5s. So i told him they were generic percocet and he thinks the v stands for vicodin. He thinks vicodin is the brand name. Can u explain this a little better for me thanx ## Most likely, it is the symbol for the manufacturer of the pills.. Qualitest ## Darwinski is correct. The V is the logo for Vintage Pharmaceuticals, which is now owned by Qualitest. It has nothing to do with what the pill actually contains. Is there anything else I can help with?

WHAT DOES THE LETTERS APA STAND FOR? the two articles above contradict each other. top one says...apa means amt of acetaminophen & bottom one says, that apa is the amt of hydrocodone. i came here specifically for apa info. help me with the apa on my meds. thanks g. n. ## From what I could gather, it seems like a simple misunderstanding. APA & APAP are both commonly used abbreviations of Acetaminophen. This abbreviation is often used in the following context: "APA/Hydrocodone 325mg/7.5mg" Is this what you are referring to? I would suggest double checking with your pharmacist if you believe it has an impact on the quality of your medication. However, if you know the imprint on your pill, I can even look it up for you to determine it's exact ingredients. I hope this hel...

What does the v on the one side of the pill mean. People say it's like real vicoden. What is its meaing? ## Hello, Brad! How are you? If you're referring to a stylized V that is pressed into one side of the tablet, that is a simply a logo that was used by Vintage Pharmaceuticals, which is now owned by Qualitest. It means nothing in relation to what's in the pill, though many have misunderstoof and thought it meant it was Vicodin. However, this manufacturer makes many different pharmaceutical medications and most of them are not Vicodin, or its generics. The FDA classifies Vicodin as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any numbers on the table...

What are the orange specks for in the pills? ## Hello, Babs! How are you? These tablets are manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And the orange specks don't mean anything, they are just a way to make their tablets look different from the others that are available. Is there anything else I can help with?

My pharmacy changed manufacturers of trazodone from Apo T150 to Qualitest brand. First problem is that it doesn't work. It took 3 hours to finally doze off, and 30 minutes later I woke up thinking I was choking, but actually had severe dry mouth and after 1/2 bottle of water it is getting a little better. Is this manufacturer change due to Medicare changes, or pharmacy (Walgreens) changes? Thank you for any information you can provide. ## Hi Charlotte, I been taking trazodone for many years and I live here in ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI. You have no idea how happy I am to see I'm not going nuts. Sorry, I was not being rude when I said I was happy to see your message. I think u knew what meant. I hope, but anyhow, I believe that I have been on this medicine for at least 6 or 7 years. But...

If you are such a large pharmaceutical company, how could it be possible that no pharmacy, in all of Tulare County, Ca. has any Carisoprodol, 350 mg, which is a Qualitest generic for Soma, in stock whatsoever? Their same reply to me continues to be, "They're on back order & we don't know when we'll get them in." I have been taking Soma only when needed since the 80's & have now been without them for well over a month!! When I am having one of my excruciating muscle spasms, these have always been the only pills that work but since being without them I am left to my last resort of taking pain pills which are not meant to relax muscles, so I have to take a double dose, which knocks me out & is the only way to stop the spasms without my usual Soma! Any in...

I was perscribed Bella ALK/PB ELX Qualitest over a year ago now for my severe cases of acid reflex, does this medication expire because I do not see an expiration date on the perscription ## All medications expire, due to the fact that they will eventually lost potency. For tablets, in the U.S. it is one year from the date your prescription is filled. It is even shorter for liquids, that means that your is probably long past its expiration date. Have you talked to your doctor about getting a new one?

Is there a difference between 7.5 MG Tab zyd And just 7.5 MG? ## Hi Teresa, Based on my research, "zyd" apparently stands for the manufacturer (Zydus Pharmaceuticals USA) and should correspond with a National Drug Code of 68382-050. I guess on some labels pharmacies feel the need to include the name/abbreviation of the company who makes it, as a secondary means of reference.. Especially since so many people are now coming to terms with the fact that certain manufacturers produce better quality meds than others. I hope this info helps!

What is in these pills? i just got them. There twice the size of my other generic for Ativan. ## Hello, Mike! How are you? These are 2mg Lorazepam tablets, which is the active ingredient in Ativan. The size doesn't mean anything, that can vary depending on which excipients the manufacturer has chosen to use. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you

I have a prescribtion for Hydroco Acetamin 7 5 500mg/15 Qualitest liquid.. I was just wondering what the 15 qualitest meant??? ## Qualitest is the name of the manufacturer and the 15 means the dosage should be 7.5mgs of the Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen per 15 milliliters of the liquid suspension. Learn more Vicodin details here. Are there any other questions?

If you have a headache do you not seek aspirin? Ask the judgmental pharmacists and anti drug warriors this question. Say nothing else. Every once in a while ask again. There is no good answer except the universal law which governs and drives every life form with a nervous system- the avoidance of pain and pursuit of pleasure drives all life with a nervous system. Each individual has their own personal tolerance for pain. Just because my tooth isn't hurting doesn't mean you aren't feeling tooth pain. You are 100% on the right path- get those pills evaluated at a lab which does qualitative analysis. Get both the old yellow hydrocodone and new watson 853's analyzed. Do not submit both to the same lab at same time or it will be apparent what you are doing. Keep the results a...

So I did a little research on the Qualitest zolpidem discontinuation and it ends up being a typical corporate greed and consolidation story. Further proof of why we need regulation. Endo pharmaceuticals bought Qualitest last October under the guise of 'expanding their generic business' and with grandiose statements saying they would become when combined a top 5 company in generics. Less than 6 months after acquisition, they slashed the number of generics they offered dramatically under the new name Parr. Then, they layed off 750 workers in the former Qualitest plant in North Carolina and Alabama. This is where our Qualitest Zolpidem came from. Anybody by now who doesnt know that unfettered unregulated consolidations dont help ANYBODY is just lost. I mean they buy out the competi...

Desperately seeking a new pain management dr or personal care provider in the Tempe/Phoenix/East Valley are that will be considerate enough to let me partake in the "mandatory" drug panels by means other than urinary. I am a spastic paraplegic that is incontinent, I use self catheterization which can produce severe discomfort under normal conditions, let alone from a chair or in an uncomfortable position or place. I have actually been hospitalized for a condition which can be brought on called autonomic dysreflexia (AD). I have been on fentanyl and oxycodone for the last 7 years due to a bullet in my spine. My normal blood pressure is 120/80. My blood pressure has been recorded at 160/122 without the dr taking notice that things were going wrong even after my complaints. 160/122...

what does it mean when the doctor puts clonazepam 0.5 mg tab TEV? what does the TEV mean? ## Will if you are being prescribed Clonazepam then that's the generic med, and the TEV would probably stand for the manufacturer TEVA Pharmaceuticals. I could be wrong but right now that's the only thing that would make sense to me... ## I agree, that seems to be the only thing that makes sense, that is not a normal abbreviation used in a scrip. Perhaps the doctor recommends that generic brand, some companies with poor quality control have proven to be unreliable and have unreliable meds, so he might want the pharmacy to try and provide you with Teva's generic as they have proven to be effective and reliable, more so than several other companies. ## Teva has started showing on my label...

oval white pill with a V on one side and the numbers 4212 on the other side ## what is this i found it in my kids backpack ## Just because it has a V on it does not mean it is Vicodin. The V is a logo for Vintage/Qualitest Pharmaceuticals. This particular tablet contains 750mgs of Methocarbamol, a generic for Robaxin. This is a muscle relaxant.

I tried everything, I mean everything and in the pulmonologists office they gave me xopenex in nebulizer. It saved my life. Fla medicaid wont pay for it even after docs asked 3 times. ANY help for me? ## I am not sure what the qualifications for the programs are, some may not help if you have insurance, but it doesn't hurt to call them and check. I found two listed that may help with Xopenex: The Partnership for Prescription Assistance 888-477-2669 and RX Outreach 800-769-3880. Can you please post back and let me know if either one of these can help you? If not, I'll see what else I can find for you. ## Neither one can help me.

white round with a v and 0031 on it ## Don't know what they are. ## have you ever found out what they are? i found on on my little cousin! ## vicodin is a hydrocodone pain pill ## Well first off, contrary to popular belief, just because a pill has a V on it, DOES NOT MEAN IT IS VICODIN! The V is just the logo for Vintage/Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they make many, many products, and most of them are NOT Vicodin. Now, pills marked with V 0031 are NOT Vicodin, nor any form of narcotic, this is 300mgs of Ranitidine which is the generic form of the med Zantac used to reduce stomach acid, heartburn and treat acid reflux. Now, I am sure, that just like you the kids that had these thought they were Vicodin, so you need to have a chat with them, but like I said, these are NOT Vicodin, the...

when I was first prescribed vicodin they were Watson, 349...then later 352 and then 357 and now 363 and 368. What do those numbers mean. The ones I felt that worked best were the 349 and 357 Watson. I may be wrong in the numbers (years have gone by since ) but I think I am right. What is the STRONGEST vicodin made and does COLOR OF PILL have any reference to the quality of the med ? or the number on it. ie: is a 368 stronger then a 357. why are they called LORTAB. when I first heard them called that, instead of vicodin I thought maybe they were ( placebo) to make me THINK they were vicodin but not really. finally! speaking of PLACEBO can doctors and pharmacies give placebo without notifying the patient, can they legally do that? ## Hi, Frenchy!
