My question is this, I was having a very difficult time filling my legitimate 30mg oxycodone qty(120) prescription, I had an old prescription from my old pm dr. that was for 10mg oxycodone qty (98). I showed it to the pharmacist he told me it was no problem to fill, and that the only issue would be that insurance would not cover both. After looking everywhere I decided to go ahead and fill the 10"s and pay cash. A week later the 30's were finally in stock so I was actually told over the phone, got to pharmacy and low and behold they only had 5 left, there were 2 other medications to fill on the same prescription, Norco's and Soma's, they said they could fill those and I would have to wait on the oxy's. I'm just curious if a pharmacist could tell me why they have to "verify" my oxycodone script? when they verify these prescriptions with the prescribing doctor, what exactly is being verified? Does the doctor himself have to take these phone calls all day from pharmacies? if im already in a pharmacies computer and getting same meds for a year, then isnt that adequate proof that my script is legit? or is something else being looked at? this has been a growing problem in the state of WV.. we have pharmacies refusing to fill script now do to they want to play dr, and tell ppl they are being over medicated and will not fill all of the scripts for them...I have had the worst 3 years of my life.. I am looking for pharmacies in Orange County NY who have oxycodone (non generic) ## I'm sorry, but there is no database listing what pharmacies has any given medication in stock. Such information would be very dynamic and difficult to keep track of, anyway. Additionally, due to the mandatory manufacturing limits, there is a shortage, at this time and on top of this shortage, a major pharmaceutical distributor was shut down on the east coast. I have been on oxycodone 15mg for awhile now and it's always been light green with a 214 on it. Today I got my prescription and it was changed to peach w 113 on it. What's the difference? Why do they do that ## The only difference is the manufacturer, the tablet you received still contains 15mgs of Oxycodone, it's just made by a different company. Since this is a generic, there are many companies that manufacture it and, when they need to restock their supply, your pharmacy will order from whichever company is offering the cheapest prices. I've been taking oxycodone 15mg green tabs for chronic pain management. My last prescription I dropped off at Walmart pharmacy. When I picked up my prescription the pills the pharmacist showed me looked very different from the green round pills I'm used too taking. Theses pills, made my Rhodes made me sick immediately. I suffered withdrawal like symptoms (headache, dry mouth, anxiety) and had little or no pain relief for two weeks. How would a doctor write out a prescription for 15mg percs? Would it just say 15mg Percocet? I currently take 7.5mg/325 percocets but I'm going to a new doctor since mine moved away and I wanted to change the mgs to 15 without the acetaminophen. One thing you want to make sure you do, when looking to get this type of prescription filled, is to make sure you actually go into the pharmacies, with the prescription in hand, so they can see that you are a legitimate customer. Yesterday my doctor wrote me a prescription for "Oxycontin 20mg tablets" When I got to shoppers I was told they no longer make that medication. I was looking to get the generic oxycontins that I know are now available in Ontario.
