RECENTLY BROUGHT IN NEW SCRIPT FOR OPANA 10 MG IR. THE PHARMACIST OLD ME THAT ENDO IS NOT GOING TO MANUFACTURE THIS PILL ANY LONGER. IS THIS TRUE AND WHAT DO THE USERS OF THESE PILLS DO NOW?? ARE THEY ALSO GOING TO DO AWAY WITH THE OPANA ER 20 MG.??? ## The name brand is on back order and has been for a very long time however Roxanne Labs makes a generic that in my opinion works even better & I usually never take any generics. I have been on Opana for 4 years now and have been happy with the Generic vs the Endo brand. Plus ever since Endo change the ER Formula I am more then happy to not give them my business

My husband has had a Brain hemrage a broken neck and slipped disc. His Dr in Charleston Ohio was viving him oxy 15 and perck 10mg. His Dr got busted for stupided stuff and he was a patient there for 4 yrs. Now we can not find a Dr to help him and he has a headache every day. I'm scared he will have another Brain hemrage.

what does an opana 60 mg look like? ## There is not a 60mg Opana available on the U.S. market. Opana is a very potent narcotic that contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is only available in a maximum of 10mgs. Was it perhaps a different medication that you were thinking of? There are tablets of both Morphine and Oxycodone that are available in 60mg dosages. ## Opana is not available in a 60mg. pill. You would need to be prescribed 1-40mg., and 1-20mg., in order to be taking 60mg. of Opana. ## Is there a red round 60 mg opana?

Are there any tricks to get the insurance company to authorize opana when the 2 other medications that they cover are giving me way to many debilitating side effects . My pain doc switched me to opana or OxyContin so I'd get pain relief without sedation, itching , rashes and vomiting . I've tried OxyContin and I had none of those side effects. My doctor just sent in the letter of medical necessity and if it gets denied I'd like to know what are things that they look for specifically and things they consider there to be cause to approve the request and authorize it? I just started Opana 30mg twice a day and I didn't think it was working either, but 4 days into in, my pain has decreased from an 8 to a 2-3. You have to be patient and allow several days for it to reach a steady level in your system. Be patient...it will work. I have taken less breakthrough meds over the past several days than over the past 10 years. All I need now is 1-2 per day. If you are really looking for pain relief I would highly recommend the opana, and I have tried all but the fentanyl patches. The shelf life of Opana ER is 3 years. It has been reported elsewhere that this product has a relatively short shelf life, but it was difficult to obtain a definite answer. As a result, we contacted the manufacturer directly (Endo Pharmaceuticals) at (866) 395-8301, and they were happy to provide us with an answer over the phone. We also mentioned that we were looking through their product information sheets and that this information was not available. I found a pill and not sure if thats what it is or not ## There are a number of different appearances of Opana. The extended release ones are shaped like a stop sign with a number inscribed on them indicating the dosage in milligrams. For example, a yellow Opana with the number 40 on it is the 40 mg dose, green with 20 on it is the 20 mg dose, etc. There are also normal release doses in 5 or 10 mg. The 5 mg dose is a blue round pill with E612 over 5, and the 10 mg dose is a reddish-pink round pill with E613 over 10. I hope this helps. If you can post back with the specific...

I have been prescribed opana 40mg for almost two yrs. I really wanted to be optimistic about the new formula but it does not work! Very little to no pain relief from these plastic pills! Now I'm spending sooo much time online looking for an alternative, but not having much luck. Nothing out there equivalent? How could Endo turn a great med into the worst?? I heard there is a newly formulated opana er, is this true? Do they make you sick like the newly formulated oxycontin? ## For some people, yes it does appear to be as problematic as the new Oxycontin. There have been very similar complaints that range from its not working as well as the old formulation, to its being said to cause odd side effects. Learn more Opana information here. However, what you have to remember is that the people posting on any given website are a very small percentage of the number taking any given medication. And the reason they were looking for the site to post, is because they were having a problem, the people that take it without a problem usually aren't posting. The new Opana's are terrible! I swallow mine like you're supposed to and I see the entire pill in my poop when I go! My husband is an addict. He has been taking Opana for 2 years+ with Lyrica. Looking for a treatment center, preferably in the NorthEast but will send him wherever. ## Is he taking them via doctor's prescription, or is he obtaining them elsewhere? And if they are prescribed, is he abusing them by taking more than the amount prescribed? If he's just taking them according to his doctor's instructions, he's not actually an addict and he can work with his regular doctor to taper off of them. A slow taper is safest and would prevent most of the withdrawal effects. Withdrawal symptoms, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, fever, chills and diarrhea.
