I took Neurontin back in January 2014. I took the lowest dose for 4 days. I got severe face and neck tremors. Those eventually went away After seeing a Neurologist and medication. What has not gone away is my severe voice problem. Neurontin has ruined my voice. I have been to a Neurollogist, 2 ENT'S, 2 Voice doctors and have been to speech therapy on two separate occasions. If you look under Pfizer Neurontin side effects you will get a very detailed list of side effects including my side effects. I would never suggest anyone take this medicine because there are so many side effects and you don't know which ones you will get. And like me you don't know how long they will last. My hands and arms are asleep and numb every morning when I wake up and it last for a few hours. I'm 62 & my stress affects me physically now. Severe stress can cause my blood pressure to zoom up to 150/100. Also valium works great for pain if I have. a painful arthritic attack. These doctors want to prescribe stuff like neurontin which I am very leary of.

Because most of the top rated anxiety drugs are the ones with benzo, like xanax and vallium, but those are habit forming. ## Some of the antidepressants have been successfully used to treat anxiety and are much less habit forming. You may want to look into something like BuSpar: Or Paroxetine: Have you spoken to your doctor about alternatives, yet? ## Benadryl is an antianxiety or, if you want to try the herbal route valarian root works well for a lot of people. Or, if you are in a place where it's legal (??) marijuana is also really good for anxiety. Some prescription non Benzodiazepines (like Xanax and Vallium) that help with anxiety that I have taken are Trazodone, Neurontin, Tegratol and some antidepressants are also sometimes prescribed for anxiety. I have fibromyalgia and neurofibromatosis. I am taking Oxycodone and Neurontin. Just a question, I have Lumbar and Throic Spondolysis, and fracture in the some of the disc areas, we are not going to operate and the pain stays just gets more intense as time goes on. I have been on Vico 10/325 3 times a day and Neurtion 3 times a day, this helps but does not give me total comfort. Should I look for comfort? and is there a better combination I can tell my Dr at the pain center.
