They can be used to detect Methadone, that is what they were originally designed to test for, but only if it has been taken while wearing the patch. The Buprenorphine in the Subutex can be detected, but it is not included in standard testing, so they would have to be specifically testing for it. Will Methadone show up on a drug screening if your already on opiate pain meds? ## If you have tried methadone as a pain management but it did't really help you how long does it stay in your system as for a job screening test. I have the script but people don't understand that alot of drs. are now prescribing this . ## Yes they can differentiate between methadone and other opiates if they look for it ## Yeah I think that the test has to specifically look for it. I have had friends tell me for years that klonopin doesn't show up on drug tests at the methadone clinic. I am a 32 yr old woman on 65mls of methadone. I have been on it for the past 10 yrs. I get dosed the pink liquid sometimes and sometimes the yellow syrup. Is there any chance morphine will show up in Victoria's DHHS's supervised urine drug screens? I'm also taking Xanax and a antidepressent called Lovan. I go to methadone clinic, if I take zanaflex will it show on my drug screens? ## Yes sir(or mam lol) benzo but the muscle relaxer n it won't cause it's just flexirile(however u spell it). I take 15mg Morphine daily. If I take a 20mg Methadone, will it show up on my urinalysis at my pain doctors office? Only one dose is necessary right now. ## Lukky, if they do a full drug urine screen, be sure that methadone will show up...they test for it's beastly metabolite EDDP 2 - ethylidene - 1, 5 - dimethyl - 3, 3 - diphenylpyrrolidine (EDDP) . I have never used illegal drugs. I do have narcolepsy and severe degenerative disc disease. I take provigil 400 mg, nucynta er 400mg, oxycodone 15 mg 4x/day, buprobrion 150 er and 75 mg daily. I had a urine drug screen yesterday which showed positive for methadone and suboxone. They have sent it out for further testing. Did this happen because of the medications I am on or do these type of urine drug screens make a lot of mistakes like this? Will the more detailed test come back accurate?

Hello, I have a employment drug screen tomorrow and I want to know if methadone will show up as an opiate. Thank you. ## Nope. Methadone has to be specifically tested for. I've passed many a five panel with dones in my system. It's my go to as my employer drug tests frequently. ## Summel is correct, Methadone is not something that is usually included on standard drug tests, it requires special screening that is specifically looking for it, according to NIH studies. Please answer my question Asap. I took a drug screen and it came back with my Adivant, Vyvanse, which i have prescription for. I also take Suboxone, 2mg strips a day, the suboxone did not show up but methadone did. I have not taken methadone for almost 2 months. Here is what medications i had taken. I got a letter from my pain management doctor yesterday saying he was dropping me as a patient because I had NO metabolites in my system for for it on urine screenings going all the way back to November. I know this cannot possibly be right. I can get away with taking 60 mg daily, but not less than that. I go to the methadone clinic and I am prescribed ativan 1mg 2 times a day and my counselor said that ativan does not show up on the drug test. When they test and send it in by Fedex, how long before they get results back? The reason I am asking was last Thursday I found an old Fentanyl patch stuck to me that must have been in my bedding or something. Of course, the same day I got tested. I got my drug screen back from my pain doctor today from last month and he said that my methadone showed up but my metabolites were way way lower than my past. He says that means they aren't being broken down which can mean that im tampering with my urine and possibly scrapping my pill into my urine. My fiance has been taking sleep aid pills of Diphendydramine 50 mg and methadone showed up on a drug test. She doesn't use...some reading I have done has shown that ingredient in other people's system when methadone has show up.
