How long does your body take to metabolize a 2.5mg Diazepam pill (5mg split in half )? I took it Sunday (today) and I have a drug test possibly Wednesday. It could get pushed back to Friday. I lack the cyp2d6 enzyme that metabolizes medication, what is not metabolized goes out through my urine. How will a urine test tell my doc the mg's of oxy is in my system then? My pcp did a urine screen recently and no klonopin was in my system, for which I had Two the day before. The urine screen was clear of opioids, too. (I take 4-10mg Percocet and 60mg ER oxy every night.) obviously, my body kicks meds out at alarming rate. I have awoken during twilight sleep surgeries before, too. More than one doc has told me that I am a rapid metabolizer. I am doing genetic test to prove it, so that it is in my file, or I will be under medicated forever. would taking an opana 20er be the same as taking a roxycotin and morphine pill one a urine drug test? ## It actually depends on the type of test being done. There are some tests that will just show the presence of opiates and, if that is they type used, then that is all any of then would be detected as being. However, there are other tests that are most specific and can show the exact opiates that were taken, by analyzing their individual metabolites. My doctor made a mistake on my prescription which was later corrected. I was taking 3 mg tablets. They took a long time to kick in. The mistake was 1 mg tablets. When I took 3 of the 1mg tablets, they kicked in immediately and I could barely wake up the next day. I've gone down to two of the 1mg tablets and am sleeping so much better. Does Lunesta metabolize differently in the different sizes of pills? I cannot find any information on this. ## It isn't that it metabolizes different, but they will just digest and be released differently in your stomach. The 3mg tablet is larger, so it will take awhile longer to start to digest… but the 1mg tablets are small and get digested quicker, so the medication is released quicker. Does that make sense? I am a 32 yr. old female who is on methadone maitnance. I did 8 dilaudid yesterday and had a drug test today. Someone told me that dilaudid shows up as methadone on a drug screen, is that true or will I loose my take home status for being dirty? ## what happened? ## She likely tested positive for hydromorphone. If I'm taking only Tylenol 3/4 with codeine, how is it that hydrocodone would show up in a hair test? How can I dispute it? I believe hydrocodone is a secondary metabolite in about 10% of cases. Is it true? I know hydrocodone is Vicodin or Norco, but I do not and have never taken these drugs before. The codeine is bad enough.
