Long story short, roomate had party an my prescription was stolen. Had a spinalcord injury called quadraparesis. Was paralyzed from neck down and after 7 months of rehab can now stand in walker. Unable to function at all without medication. What can i do? What would you do? Will appreciate all responses. E-Mail {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Butchie! How are you? So very sorry about the theft. That's terrible. Did you report it to the police? I hope so, because a police report is likely the only thing that will help you convince your doctor what happened, so you can be issued a replacement prescription. While they can't prescribe the same amount and dosage, they can prescribe an alternative medication, or a different dosage to replace it. Learn more Oxycodone details here. This ...

I was recently prescribed oxycodone IMM REL for my severe back pain and I wanted to know what is the difference between the regular oxycodone and the one I have now....please esplain if its addicted...reply thanks ## All Oxycodone has addictive potential, it doesn't matter what release type it is. IMM REL stands for Immediate Release, meaning the drug starts to be released as soon as the pill is in your stomach, regular release pills take 15 to 20 minutes to start working.

found pill with v on one side and 3605 on the other what is it ## Hi Walt, From what I understand, the cursive "V" actually represents Vintage Pharmaceuticals who now holds the name Qualitest. However the pill you have there marked "V 36 05" is identified as a generic Norco tablet containing 325mg of Acetaminophen + 7.5mg of Hydrocodone; used for treating moderate to severe pain. And for verification, this particular pill also carries a National Drug Code of 00603-3891. I hope this helps! ## thanks for the info ## The pill is round and pink with a cursive V and markings of 49/93 on the other side what is it? ## Pink V 49 93 is oxycodone hcl 10 mg an I believe fairly new to the market! ## Also, the V 49 94 gray pill which is 20mg oxycodone I think is new to the market, is...

What does the HCL,and the PO stand for? oxycodoneHCL 2oMG PO? Ty very much! ## Hello, Skippy! How are you? The HCL stands for hydrochloride, it just designates the specific chemical salt that the drug was derived from and the PO means per oral route, meaning to take them by mouth. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

what does the ng stand for in 95ng/10mg ? ## In science, chemicals and medicine, when referring to measurements like this, the abbreviation ng stands for nanogram, as explained by the NIH. Thus, what you typed would be 95 nanograms per 10 milligrams. Generally, in such results, that's the amount detected in the amount that was measured. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you Verwon for your reply. You asked if I had any other questions. I tested the other day and I am wondering if this reading is normal for my prescription? I am prescribed 20mg Oxycodone every 12 hours and 10/325 Hydrocodone four times daily. Oxycodone: 91.5 ng/10 mg (lab cutoff is 2 ng/10 mg) Hydrocodone: 104 ng/10 mg (lab cutoff is 2 ng/10 mg)

What does the "IR" stand for located behind the word Oxycodone and in front of the dosage amount, i.e., 5 mg. When I look up he generic Oxycodone I see that it has acetiminiphine and/or NASIDS-Ibuprophine. I believe the manufacture is Palladone. Is there an Oxycodone made that has nothing in it except Oxycodone. Thanks??? ## The IR stands for immediate release, which means it's meant to release the medication, as soon as you swallow the tablet. While there are some formulations that contain Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen, this one doesn't. This one only contains Oxycodone. There are actually 3 formulations available that only contain Acetaminophen, the OxyIR and its generics, which you've already mentioned that are instant release. There is a time released formulation ca...

Hi everyone. I'm 57 yrs old and have bad back pain my pm Doctor is upfront with me when he says he's afraid of going to jail for writing 3o mg oxycodone. I'm stunned when I see how much money my ins co pays him for all the shots he gives me each month. He has no problem cashing the cheques and doesn't care that they have no effect on my body- as long as his business profits and he has no exposure to the DEA. I understand his concerns but he is ethically obliged first to my health and pain reduction. Anyone identify? Anyone aware of pain management doctors who advocate for patients first and have the guts to take a stand against DEA guidelines who can administer pain meds relevant to the my needs. I live in Morris co NJ,Parsippany. All responses will be answered ## I had ...

I need to know if my Oxycodne IR 15mg light green pill with M oneside-15other side, with a indent center line is extended release . I am detoxing soon and is really important as I reduce down from apx 160mg(2are60mg long release) W/5mg for breakthru pain. Dr is retiring and I had scripts for all. ## IF it is oxycodone 15mg IR hints the IR that means instant release unless you have your pills confused that narcotic is a instant release form,Oxycontin stands for continous release so if it is oxycodone then it is not extened release. ## This tablet is actually neither the immediate release, nor the extended release, it is just the regular release 15mg, generic for Roxicodone. Some of the most common side effects to this medication can include: nausea, dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness...

Same as above how many mg Percocet are usually taken for pain relief. What is a high dose and how often are 20 mg taken ## The highest available dose of Percocet, according to the FDA website, contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so there is no 20mg dosage available in the U.S. Were you referring to just Oxycontin tablets? They are available in a 20mg dosage, but do not include the Acetaminophen and they're in a time released formulation. It is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. As to how much is taken, that may differ from person to person, depending on what dose best controls their pain and what dosage their doct...

Don't relieve pain. Avoid them, they may have 3 or 4 mg of oxycodone in them, but only the manufacturer in India would know.sarc. ## I am very sorry that this medication didn't work for you, with some slight fluctuations in generics, not all of them work for everyone. However, the manufactured is Caraco, which is under Sun Pharma and they are actually currently based in Detroit, Michigan…not India. And regardless of where a medication is manufactured, if it is approved by the FDA and available in the U.S. it has to meet the same quality and efficacy standards as any other. Is there anything else I can help with? ## my girlfriend has been taking oxycodone 30mg for years for chronic back pain, and yesterday she filled her medication and got stuck with these horrible caraco...

i was given blue and peach capsules filled with peach colored fine power substance inside but no imprints or marking on them, im being told they are OXYCODONE 5/100 mg...i cant find them anywhere in pill finder.does anyone know anything about them ? im lead to believe all pills in the U.S. must have an imprint on them to be able to ID them .... ## That is true of manufactured prescription medications. However, there are pharmacies that specially compound some medications, as ordered by a physician. In this case, if this is a 5/100 that is not something that is available as a standard dosage, so a doctor would have had to specially order it and the patient would have to have had it put together by one of these compounding pharmacies. If this is what happens, the pharmacy measures the pow...

I've taken gabapentin, norco, and then oxycodone. I was taken off the oxycodone recently because I was talking the max six pills a day and my pain was still unbearable. I have five bulging disc and a pinched nerve in my back. I have spinal stenosis. This has caused pain throughout my left side down to my feet. I'm also a diabetic with nerve damage. I'm scared to do multiple rounds of injections in my back. Is there anything I can take to help me at least get some rest. I had to quit my job because I can't sit or stand and the pain is too much ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? There are many other medications to choose from, including Oxycodone in higher doses, without the Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause si...

We all need to ban together somehow to stick up for the legitamte people in pain with the proper documentation. This is bull**** what we have to do to get our medication each month, From all the BS at the doctor offioce visits. With the ever changing rules to follow from the DEA . The scare tactics the DEA uses to scare the doctors to even pescribe the Oxycodone to legitamate people in chronic pain. And finally once you get through all of that..if you do... then come the BS at the pharmacies....you will hear we are out..or the shipment is comimg in a few days...then you go back and it didnt come in and its on back order...or you will hear (we dont fill from that doctor with no explination)...or we dont get them anymore. Its so much BS we have to stand up together and do somthing people!...

I have been prescribed oxycodone 5 mg. IMM REL capsules to be taken 2-3 every 4 hrs. for shingles pain. I have never taken this before, however I have chronic pain due to a right hip injury 6 years ago and normally take fiorinal #3 for that and also migraine headaches. I am in a'lot of pain and I am praying this med. will help. I was also prescribed lyrica 75 mg, Valtrex and I already take lexapro and zanax if needed. I am very cautious with medicine. Does anyone have any advice for me? ## Oxycodone is a very potent narcotic pain reliever, it is also highly addictive. The IMM REL stands for Immediate Release, which means the medication is released immediately to start helping with your pain, rather than taking 15 to 20 minutes like regular release tablets. Aside from the addictive p...

I just returned from the emergency room for a fall i took through the ceiling, and landed on a staircase about 12 foot fall. Anyway they gave me a shot of dilada 2 mg and another several hrs 1 mg the 1 mg had no effect so they gave me 1 more mg. I just returned home with my prescription for oxycocone 5 325. will 1 pill be equilavent to the shot? i dont want to take too much but without the pain relief my stomach and back muscles constrict so bad i cant get a good breath and I dont want to go thru that again while I wait for the pill to take effect. ## The 5mgs in the tablet stands for the amount of Oxycodone and the 325mgs is the amount of Acetaminophen. Oxycodone is a very strong narcotic pain reliever, so taking more than recommended could be very dangerous.

i have tried everywhere in my county that i live in florida, get the same answer from all the walgreens and the pharmacies in my area they are out and dont know when they will have it if ever again. i think this is a shame for a person who has a prescription from a doctor and is in severe pain all waking hours. i think this is also a shame because all it does is gives the drug dealers on the streets a reason to charge $20.00 a pill and laugh at us all the way to their bank. there has got to be some relief for us honest people that are suffering and work hard to have insurance and be up standing citizens. i thank our governor for making this problem worse in florida and feeding right into the drug dealer hands. please can someone help and get the honest people who suffer everyday the rel...

do they make 15mg oxycodone with no HCL ## Hello, Tony! How are you? I think you're misunderstanding what the HCL stands for, that means it's Oxycodone Hydrochloride. It's not a separate ingredient, it just designates the precise chemical salt that the Oxycodone is derived from, so it's all Oxycodone HCL. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
