What's the HCL in the oxycodone for and whats it do? ## The HCL just stands for hydrochloride, it designates the precise chemical salt that the Oxycodone has been derived from. actavis oxycodone is TERRIBLE!
I used to take Watson percocet and never had any problems and it took away my pain. The Actavis is nothing like the Watsons and have terrible side effects and feels like you are taking a placebo - NO pain relief. If you have to take more to get any type of pain relief you will suffer alot of GI problems. Anyone else notice this difference? ## Hi Lisa, While I don't have personal experience with Actavis products, I have heard numerous complaints about most of their oxycodone and percocet tablets being far below what is considered standard quality. I'm thinking there's a couple different things that may be at cause here. Excess amounts of binders/fillers are usually the first to be blamed for those who experience GI related issues. This is likely the case with most generic med... ...

Is Oxycodone And Endocet The Same Drug
I take endocet 10/325 on a daily basis for back pain and more so, nerve damage, that after a noninvasive back surgery procedure I had, in my legs. My right leg is very weak and after standing about 5 minutes my left leg goes numb from the knee to my foot. I have been taking for about 3 yrs now and they do seem to help; especially in the AM when I get up...cannot move without taking 1, have tried many times. Have not taken more than prescribed and on some days I do take less; depending on what I am doing that day. My question: does this mean I am addicted? ## On the first question, Endocet contains two active ingredients, the narcotic Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, to help it work better. Learn more Endocet details here. A medication that is just listed as Oxycodone is exactly that, just t... ...

What Does N Mean At The Beginning Of An Rx Number
I am trying to find out what the letter "c" and the letter "n" stand for at the beginning of my rx number. Example - n123456 on my oxycodone and for my lomotil, alprazolam and loratab it looks like this Example-c123456. I know the prescriptions are all controlled but my doctor can write refills and call in my "c" prescriptions and I have to have the hard copy written in order to get my "n" prescriptions. What do these letters stand for? Are their other letters? If so what do they stand for? If all these medications are controlled what is the difference? ## As to what those letters stand for, you'd actually need to ask at your pharmacy. Such numbers aren't universal. The RX number is unique to your pharmacy, or pharmacy chain. For instance, if you ... ...

PLEASE HELP find Oxycodone 30mg in Sarasota Florida NEED to fill script ASAP
My husband has been relentlessly trying to fill my scripts for over a week, spending hrs on end daily, going from Parmacy to Pharmacy, with no luck. It's humiliating for my kids to see me cry, struggling to do simple tasks. I REALLY NEED FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME find a Pharmacy that has in stock in Sarasota FL. I've even called my Dr to see if they could change my scripts, so I don't have to be in so much pain, and apparently he's out of t... ...

how is oxycode imm rel different from oxycodone
Just wondering how the 2 drugs differ ## "Imm Rel" stands for immediate release - so Oxycodone immediate release is for fast treatment of breakthrough pain. There are other variations as well. There is normal release Oxycodone, and also controlled release Oxycodone. Those will take longer to be absorbed by the body. Hope this helps. Do you have any other questions or information to add? Please post back if you do... ## Thanks a lot, you answer my question ...

what is the meaning of hcl in front apap
on one of my prescriptions on the bottle it says OXYCODON HCL-APAP 10/325 and the pill is oblong. I had them refilled and the bottle says OXYCODONE-APAP 10-325 and the pill is round. So what I want to know is what the HCL stands for and are these the same medications? ## Hello, Anne! How are you? Yes, they are the same. The HCL just stands for Hydrochloride and designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, they just didn't include it on the one label. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

 Morphine
Morphine (INN) (/mrfin/) (sold under nearly a hundred trade names) is an opioid analgesic drug, and the main psychoactive chemical in opium. In clinical medicine, morphine is regarded as the gold standard of analgesics used to relieve intense pain. Like other opioids, such as oxycodone, hydromorphone, and diacetylmorphine (heroin), morphine acts directly on the central nervous system (CNS) to relieve pain. Morphine has a high potential for addiction; tolerance and psychological dependence dev...

for shingles pain and i am new to this drug..
I have been prescribed oxycodone 5 mg. IMM REL capsules to be taken 2-3 every 4 hrs. for shingles pain. I have never taken this before, however I have chronic pain due to a right hip injury 6 years ago and normally take fiorinal #3 for that and also migraine headaches. I am in a'lot of pain and I am praying this med. will help. I was also prescribed lyrica 75 mg, Valtrex and I already take lexapro and zanax if needed. I am very cautious with medicine. Does anyone have any advice for me? ## Oxycodone is a very potent narcotic pain reliever, it is also highly addictive. The IMM REL stands for Immediate Release, which means the medication is released immediately to start helping with your pain, rather than taking 15 to 20 minutes like regular release tablets. Aside from the addictive p... ...

oxycodin
512 ## Is there a reputable pharmacy where I can get oxycodin without always having to get a prescription. One that won't rip me off? ## Darren, I think the only way you can pick this drug up without a prescription is illegally. It's considered a serious narcotic drug, and (from law enforcement standpoint) the implications of using it illegally is basically the same is if you were taking any other hard drug. As for the imprint 512, if the original post is talking about a White, Round, Scored tablet with the imprint 512, then that is a generic Percocet. It contains 325 mg Acetaminophen + 5 mg Oxycodone. ## i have an orange colored pill with 612 on one side and ETH on the other ????is it a 5mg oxy??? ## I am currently taking generic for Talacen (Pentazocine/apap 25-650 mg tablet) a... ...

Ms Contin vs Opana
In my opinion Opana (OXYMORPHONE), is a much better drug than MSCONTIN. It works much more efficiently and is much, much stronger than MSCONTIN. I live with chronic pain MSCONTIN does nothing for it. My mother who is 88 said she rather take percocett. She had double knee replacement yrs ago which resulted in a failed surgery, I have a collaspe lumbar, so I do know what I'm talking about when it comes to pain medication. They should take mscontin out of the gold standard part, put it with the silver. ## Both the Oxymorphone in the Opana and the Oxycodone in the Percocet are known to be stronger and more potent than Morphine, so it makes sense that they may help some people more than Morphine does. However, what works well for any given person can differ, so that does have to be taken... ...
