What does. Nerotin look like??? ## Neurontin contains the active ingredient Gabapentin, which is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain and mood disorders. It is available as both a name brand and generic, which means it is being manufactured by several different companies and in quite a few different doses, so I couldn't possible describe them all for you. However, if you can be more specific, like posting back to let me know if you want the details on the name brand, a certain generic by one manufacturer, or a certain dosage, then I will gladly find this information for you. Learn more Neurontin details here. Can you please post back with more details? Thanks!

My wife needs 6% Gabapentin in a neutral crème. Do you know where I can fill a prescription for this in a tube. The local pharmacy compounds this for her but charges too much. She has vulvydenia and uses this to reduce pain. Thanks ## Hello, Look I use Gabapentin Crème. Your doctor can give you samples and find you a pharmacy that accepts your insurance. I know the crème is not cheap but thank GOD my insurance covers mine. I use a compounding pharmacy in Las Vegas by the name of PinnacleRx. They are very nice and chances are they would send it to you after providing them with your Dr's prescription. Address: 4445 S Eastern Ave, Suite B Las Vegas, NV 89119 Phone: 702-534-0847 Mention my name, Daisy C. Good Luck. :D

There is a long story and before I forget it all I want to share what is happening at this time. I took Gab. For 5 months and weened myself off over a 30 day period. What I was left with was 7-1/2 months of the worse hell on earth you can imagine, I was compelled to kill myself. I should never have survived to get to the other side of death, but I did and now the medical professional look at me as though I am crazy, Im not! Also, It has made me allergic to everything. I can't take any meds for the pain. I have even resorted to medical Marijo But am allergic to that also. I go through terrible mood swings mostly sadness, despair, lack of motivation, no libido, no plans for the future....as I might kill myself tomorrow so why Bother. People say you need to see a phy. Dr. ...to what av...

my new prescription looks different the markings are different are they the same old G I 21 New G I 24 with MYLAN on the other side The line is the cutting line. ## Yes, they both contain 600mgs of Gabapentin, so it is the same medication and the same dosage. It is very common for your pharmacy to switch the generic manufacturer they have on hand, depending on who was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their medication. It's a prescription from my gyn dr.. my insurance doesn't cover this drug since it is a compounded medication and experimental cream. for my condition I would like to get cost effective pricing. I am paying 40.00 dollars. can this medication be sent to me by mail. ## Hello, Candy! How are you? This website does not manufacture, compound, nor ship any mediations or products. It is an information only resource. That said, getting it a local compounding pharmacy is usually your only option. You may want to look and see how many are in your area, so you can compare prices. I have a really bad memory these past 5yrs. I've been taking gabapentin the past 7yrs, I also take oxycodone, oxymorphone, mobic and stopped taking valium and a muscle relaxer about a year ago. I don't consume cannabis anymore. It's been about 15 yrs since I have. But when I did smoke back in the day I smoked a lot for a good 10yrs. I've noticed lately that I cant remember anything. When someone introduces themselves I just totally forget 2 mins later. I have tried the trick where you say the person's name over 5x's or use it in a sentence to help remember. But to no avail. Even at work, I'm told 3 things to do, I only remember 2 of them, or when it's time to do a task at work I just totally forget. It's affecting my job and making me look very stupid...

I'm being told by many pharmacies over the last couple of months, that they can not get the Greenstone Gabapentin. That Greenstone isn't accepting orders for it, with no reason why. Why is that? What's the problem? ## Hi Laurie, One theory is that the DEA could be involved with Greenstone's manufacturing process, limiting what they produce or ship out. But if the pharmacy is unable to give you a precise answer, this sounds to me like something that should be taken up with the manufacturer directly. Looking on their website it doesn't say that anything is wrong with Gabapentin, so I think it's safe to assume that it should be back at some point. Greenstone's customer service hotline is toll-free and can be reached at: 1-800-447-3360 I hope this helps!

My brother has told me that people are opening up capsules and insufflating the contents. As I'm worried that my brother may be involved in this practice could you give me signs to look out for and how dangerous this can be? ## Hello, Jaxie! How are you? These medications aren't actual analgesics, though since they can be used to treat some types of nerve pain, it seems many people assume they are and that they work like analgesics. These are actually anticonvulsants that have been shown to help with some nerve pain, as I have already stated, as well as some mood disorders. In order to achieve their proper levels of therapeutic efficacy in your body, they must be taken regularly for about 4 to 5 weeks. Now, as to insufflating the contents, they might experience a brief period of...

I've been taking this drug for three weeks at 100 mg once a day, nightly. My breasts are so tender and they look like they are twice their normal size. Could it be the gabapentin? How long will it take to get out of my system? ## It has been known to cause breast enlargement, according to FDA reports, along with nausea, dizziness, mood swings and weight gain. I think it only stands to reason that such enlargement would also cause them to become sore. However, I am not a doctor and it's always best to have things checked out to be sure. Are you on any other medications? ## I am also experiencing breast pain with this medication and lots of dizziness..But it does work well for the pain caused by Fibromyalgia !! Damned if you do damned if you don't !! ## Hi, my name is Mary. I...

Someone has just told me that Gabapentin is the next step up to Morphine. Is this right? ## Simple answer - no. Morphine is an opioid. Gabapentin is generic Neurontin, an anticonvulsant used for pain. Neither Neurontin or gabapentin is an opioid. ## Thanks for that I didn't think it was. I think it was someone being doctor d*** ## Hey Carol, I used to be on opiods for documented pain (as opposed to junkies looking for a high, you know the story) but after the crackdown - even though my GP would still write me scripts for Norco I couldn't get them filled anywhere. I was told that only pain specialists scripts would be filled though others have said that is not necessarily the case. Having a lack of insurance and pain docs not accepting patients without I asked my GP (whom I pay o...

I am presently taking gabapentin and if I forget 1 tablet it is awful. I can't sleep and my legs ache and the next morning because of the lack of sleep I can not function. I am on this medicine for back pain and I do believe it helps.. I would like to get off this drug and maybe try something natural but not sure what is in this. I have read several horror stories that have concerned me on the withdrawal from this drug. Just looking for something that may be a natural substitute. Thank you so much.. By the way I am 68 years old and take 600 mg at bedtime.. ## Hello, Eloise! How are you? Unfortunately, there is no over the counter equivalent. I am looking to see a picture of gabapentin 300 mg capsule ## I have a capsule its color is light brown and yellow imprint R666 what is this>???? ## I would like to see a picture of this gabapentin capsule with marking R666 so I know what I am about to take ## Gabapentin 300mg is a capsule, bright orange in color, and you'll find on both the left and right of the capsule the numbers 93 over 39. It is a form of Neurontin. ## Actually there is no way to say for certain how this would look. There are many, many generics of Neurontin, manufactured by many different companies. There are no proprietary colors or capsule types in the pharmaceutical industry. The one Lisa mentioned is only one example, from one company of many possible ways it could look and many imprints it could have....

gabapentin in a red capsule looks somewhat like a Keflex and also Neurontin in a yellow capsule enscribed Neurontin 300 I need the active ingredients ## Gabapentin is the active ingredient, it is the generic for Neurontin. ## I have taken gabapentin for about 18 or 20 months now. I took the orange capsule. When my pharmacist refilled it this time the yellow capsule was substituted. Two days after beginning the yellow capsule the muscles in my legs started hurting as they were doing before I started taking the medication. The neuropathy is causing my legs and feet to hurt. Long story short - the orange capsule worked, but the yellow has caused my old symptoms to return. My pharmicist with whom I talked was flippant and was not interested in helping me at all. ## Can I find an alternative...

I am on cymbalta 60mg at night and 30mg in the morning along with 200mg of gabapentin 3x a day for fybromayalgia and mild depression. I was given adderall 30mgs and I took a few of them. I felt focused but had started to sweat excessively for a couple of hours and my pupils are dilated. I looked up the symptoms and it linked me to serotonin syndrome. Being freaked out I didn't take my gabapentin or cymbalta yet today. My question is...if I took 60mg of adderall this morning, should I take the other two scripts (cymbalta and gabapentin) today or skip them and wait 24 hrs for the adderall to leave my system? Do I need medical attention or am I being paranoid? My muscles are cramping up in my back and hands so I'm not sure if this is caused from skipping my meds for fibromyalgia or...

I have fibromyalgia. Has anyone ever taken tramadol when they were on gabapentin, zoloft, and lorazepam? ## Hi, Yellowrose. The only thing with the meds you listed is taking the tramadol with Zoloft as they both work on the serotonin receptors and they may cause a serotonin reaction....or toxicity. I can't remember the exact name for it.....my brain froze on that one.....look it up though. The side effects of this include confusion, anxiety and some other aspects of this combo in which you should visit your ER if any of the side effects appear....especially the confusion. They will need to stop your medications and give you other meds to combat the reaction. You would probably need to spend the night in the hospital for them to do this so you are safe. I took tramadol 50mg, 6/day an...

Hey everyone. I've been taking Gabapentin for about 2 months now at 300mg 3x a day. I was prescribed it after having a tumor removed from my neck which resulted in nerve damage. They help with the pain for sure as it is at least manageable now where it wasn't before. But holy the side effects! I feel like I could fall asleep anywhere, anytime of the day. I also feel off balance all the time, almost like I feel 'drunk' to an extent. I'm also finding I'm dealing with memory loss. I have a hard time remembering what I did 20 mins ago! I guess my big question is, has anyone else dealt with side effects like this? Did they ever diminish over time? I'm going to see my surgeon in a couple weeks and thinking I may have to look at a different route but wanting some in...
