PLEASE ANSWER. I am in the program, take my Subs, and stay clean. The only thing I do is consume marijuana. I am going to give a friend a Sub and use his urine for the test. Question is, if I freeze the left over urine with the metabolized Sub next time I test (4 weeks later) will the buprenorphine still show up, or will buprenorphine be un-detectable due to freezing, time frame of freezing, de-thawing, etc.? What does butran show up as on a urine drug test, if I take Percocet 10/325 and I was out and used a butrans patch 10? ## It will show up positive for buprenorphine. If you had a patch on for more than a day or two and your drug test is within the next 48-72 hours from now you will likely test positive for buprenorphine and negative for your Percocet. Your doctor will have some questions. ## Butrans 10mcg patch puts .25mg over a 24 hour period. That's appx. .01mg per hour. If buprborphine is the test they run, it will come up negative. I have been a chronic marijuana smoker for years. Recently have had to quit for my job. It took over two months to finally pass clean for THC except that i consistently show positive for Buprenorphine. I am on a pre-trial contract and get drug tested every week.They do an eight panel that tests for Marijuana, Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Benzodiazephines, Morphine / Opiates, Phencyclidine, and Barbiturates. They also do a separate test for Buprenorphine. I passed the eight panel test, but a faint line showed up on the Buprenorphine test. I don't take any other medications nor do I use Suboxone. Question: I'm in a program and receive Subutex (buprenorphine) from the Dr., 8 mg. I take one and a half pills 20 days out of the month, but for reasons I do not wish to disclose, the last ten days of the month I only had about 1 and a half pills to last me, so I'd say for the past ten days I've been taking about 1 mg a day. on a skin sweat patch test if used 4 days earlier and 3 days, 10 mgs per day, also am using daily subutex, xanax and soma, I know xanax will show but will the old methadone and the twice daily subutex, i have patch on ## These sweat patch tests only work for the detection of the substances that are actively being taken, while the patch is being worn. They can be used to detect Methadone, that is what they were originally designed to test for, but only if it has been taken while wearing the patch. I'm feeling crushed and defeated. I'm trying to pay the bills and I've been on buprenorphine for years after a terrible accident... I will spare you the details. My point being I'm not a drug seeker, I went through surgery and have chronic pain. I want to work, but the thing is every job seems to want a drug test or hair follicle test. I am currently taking suboxone but if i take a half of subutex will it show up when i go to my next doctor's appointment? ## The active narcotic in both Suboxone and Subutex is Buprenorphine, the only difference is that Suboxone also contains Naloxone, to prevent the use of other opiate while you're being treated with it. Thus, they will both be detected as the same thing. The only problem you may run into is if they check your levels of it, because then your levels may be off, if you've taken extra medication. I took a half of an 8mg buprenorphine only (no naloxone) last Thurs late afternoon. I finally got into a pain clinic n have an appointment Tues at 2:30. I have been taking percocet that I have a script from the er for so that shouldn't be an issue as I'm a new patient. I'm concerned about the buprenorphine showing up. They already told me they will drug test me. Since it's a pain clinic I'm just assuming they test for buprenorphine? Does anyone know if they do? I get drug tested by urinalysis tests at work often. So often, in fact, that I have them at my disposal and I often take urinalysis tests just because I can. I will say though, as someone who doesn't use drugs, you'd be surprised what shows up as a false positive for buprenorphine. So far (through regular testing and negatives in between) there have been a handful of both prescription and over the counter drugs that, once taken, have resulted in a false positive for buprenorphine. These drugs are: tizanidine, meloxicam, ketorolac, ranitidine, oxaprozin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and diphenhydramine. I hope this information will be helpful to those of you who have had a false positive for buprenorphine and would like to avoid this issue in the future.

I don't take anything except Gabapentin. I just showed up positive for Buprenorphine. How? Omg I'm freaking out!!! How does this happen?? ## YES!!! I took melatonin and had a positive on my urine test for suboxone and this was the only none prescription I had taken so I knew that had to be it. I didn't take the melatonin that night and went back the next day and tested clean. I also had 5 nurses standing around with me as we crushed up one of the melatonin and dissolved it in water and tested it and it came up POSITIVE. As one of the nurses said, the melatonin made the test go crazy.

I was on subixone treatment under a doctors care. I had to stop because im in drug court. I took 1Mg to slow down withdraws. Will it show up 2 days later on bupernorphine stick test? ## Yes, it likely will if they are looking for it and such a test usually looks for even low doses of it, since it isn't commonly used in very high ones. Would this drug show up as anything else in a panel? ## Can atorvastatin cause you to have a false positive reading on a urine test?? It came up as buprenorphine. ## Hmmm, a statin drug coming up as a synthetic opiate? That's very strange indeed. Are you on any other medications or supplements? I am trying to see if what you reported is even possible. It could always be a lab mixup too. What did your doctor say? ## I am researching the same problem. My 19-year-old son may finally be getting off the roller coaster. He ran out of Suboxone and a "friend" gave him some Subutex to last until his Suboxone refill comes in. Only problem: he has the first meeting in the process to get his juvenile records sealed. Do they drug test at that point? Should he be worried about being positive because of the Subutex? I was wondering if it is possible to purchase synthetic urine off the internet or in stores that contains only Buprenorphine? I have to test negative for all drugs and positive for Subs. However, I have smoked and dissolving a Sub in urine doesn't work. Anyone know if they have a product like that for sale.
