My husband takes the blue generic version of amlodipine/benazepril. When the pharmacy filled it again they shipped Dr. Reddy's brand of 5/20 amlodipine/benazepril and when he started it he had chest pains and anxiety. lil round, white pill on one side has 516 and the other side is L and V and that half is scored what is this ## That is actually that logo for the Andrx pharmaceutical company, this tablet contains 5mgs of Benazepril, a generic for Lotensin. This is used to help lower blood pressure. Some of the most common side effects include: headache, dizziness, nausea and edema. ## I have another half pill to identify with your help. I am only able to discern that it is sea-foom green, edging to white. The fron side, I can read IP on top nd the the first two digits of the secnd lin are 20. It looks like there's room for one or two more digits. The back is blank but cross scored vertically. Any thoughts?

Grapefruit seed extract is supposed to be a good herbal preventative but I have heard that it is counteracts the blood pressure meds. ## Hi Carole - it depends on the specific medication which you are referring to. If you look at the combination of ingredients Amlodipine / Benazepril (as listed at the top of this thread), they are said to have a minimal/negligible interaction with grapefruit (as opposed to other meds which could be considered dangerous to take with grapefruit). Grapefruit can, however, increase your risk of side effects from this particular drug, so if you are going to take both together it is important to make your doctor aware of this since they will probably want to double check your medical history and monitor you.
