I have been taking Fioricet for 20 years. Worked extremely well to keep my migraines under control. The generic does not work well at all and I have many more migraines. Where can I purchase the original Fioricet. The quality of my life is not the same and I cannot take most other migraine medications. ## Hello, Janie! How are you? I'm very sorry, but at this time, it is no longer available and I don't have any information on whether or not it will be back on the market in the future. The best suggestion I can make is that you speak to your doctor about trying a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

Anyone on a double narcotic regimen? Want or need to talk about chronic pain?? ## I'm not on a double narcotic, but I do take Lortab for chronic back pain. I have a hard time finding a Dr. that is sympathetic to my pain. They tell me to take ibuprofen, but if that worked I wouldn't spend money to see a Dr. Any suggestions? ## By the way Fioricet is NOT a narcotic; however, it is listed as a medication that has been known to be abused and/or addictive. ## Yea it certainly is a narcotic, schedule 4, look it up, and it's addictive. Just letting u know, not trying to be rude. You ever heard of barbiturates? Well it's narcotics, and fioricet has it in it. I'm an 11 year opiate addict, on suboxone now, but also take Fioricet, Vyvanse, Klonopin, which are only available if ...

i am trying to find the brand name fioricet, pleases help! as the generics do not work. ## Hello, Tess! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. What dosage are you looking for? Some of them have been discontinued and are no longer available. Otherwise, if it's one that can still be found, did you try asking your pharmacy to order it in for you? ## I have the same experience with generic Fioricet - it does NOT work! We can't be the ONLY ones to notice that the Emperor is wearing no clothes. I wish this issue could be properly addressed. But it appears that few are affected? and sales flourish, so there's not much hope. My pharmacy refuses to carry brand name Fioricet so I must purchase it out of town. Wishing you good luck!

My adult daughter is in pain management. She takes her medicine as prescribed usually with a few left over as she has a few extra for really bad days. She recently tested negative for her own meds 2 months in a row. She had complained sometimes they weren't helping, around the same time her dad moved back. I strongly believe he was switching at least some of her pills out. I asked about markings and she said they didn't look like they were the same color and size. She didn't think to look after the original check and count with pick up. She is in danger of loosing treatment because not taking your meds is violation of contract. When I suggested to the doc that someone replaced them or something he said nothing's similar. I know they are almost identical to my fioricet ex...

Anyone know what's going on? ## i am overwhelmed because I need fioricet but cannot afford to buy it as the price has skyrocketed. my head is pounding but i'm not wanting to use the few tablets i have left due to this issue. single mom of 3 so not wealthy ... especially after just paying rent pmt and car pmt ## Have either of you considered looking into a prescription drug savings card? It sounds like that may be your best bet for taking the edge off that price increase. Some coupons, like the one offered here, allow you to save up to 15 - 75% off your prescription. I'd get a second opinion or maybe a third too before switching manufacturers of Fioricet. Suicide is huge with these drugs and there is no way to figure out who is going to be affected. It also changes the brain. It could potentially cause them lifelong difficulty. No one will tell you the awful adverse effects of coming off them. I would check for a vitamin and mineral deficiency, gut bacterial imbalance, possible brain injury and most importantly look at the environment and the people around you. Please exhaust all other possible causes before starting this drug meant for adult brains. It could be an infection like strep or inflammation from an immune system that won't shut down. You need to know big pharma is pushing doctors to prescribe off-label for the sole purpose of incr...

Took out more acetaminophen, then put it back etc etc. What happened to the go old blue tablets with the head on one side. Those WORKED! Thank you ## Hello, CL! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having. However, at this time, the name brand is not available and there is no word if it will become available, again, or not. Have you consulted your doctor about the issue? You may need to try a different medication, if the generics aren't working for you. Side effects to this...

What does each fioricet pill currently look like, mine is very different the refill. ## Hi, Lady! How are you? Are there any markings on them? What is the shape and color? Since Fioricet is available as a name brand and a generic, it is manufactured by several different companies and they can all look different and are required to have different markings. Thus, it's difficult to scroll through pages of pill images and try to tell you what they all look like. However, if you can post back with the requested details, I can search via the imprint and description to see if it is a Fioricet tablet. Learn more Fioricet details here.

Try COSTCO (no memb reqd for phar), or get an AAA membshp AAA membership cost covers the difference on ONE fill for me! Ck AAA website to see which pharmacies are in program. They discount if from the pharm;s cost. I use CVS or Walgreens, and some pharmacies don't discount narcotics, so check first. ## If anyone else is looking for additional ways to save on their prescription, I know MedsChat also offers a very good drug discount card that can reportedly save you anywhere from 15% to 75% off your Rx at most major pharmacies, potentially cutting the cost drastically. You can view more details about it here: Rx Savings Card Just print out that card and take it with you whenever you go to fill your prescription and see what type of discount they can offer you. My Nurse Practitioner wants me to take Lyrica 75mg. every day for pain. Looked up the side effects & am very apprehensive about this drug. Is anyone on here familiar w/ this drug? I find 2 extra strength Ecotrin helps just as much & has far less side effects. ## As I said, I am very apprehensive about taking this drug. If Ecotrin does the job why should I take another prescription drug that worries me? ## Well, in reality the ultimate choice is up to you, so it you don't want to take it, because you aren't comfortable with the risks, no one can make you. Ecotrin just contains Aspirin, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so if it works, then there is no reason to switch to something else. However, you do have to be careful how much of it you are taking in a day. Le...

Hi, my name is kelly. My doctor told me to take butal for my headaches and when I looked it up it's saying it's not for headaches at all. It's for people who have add and other issues. ## Hello, Kelly! How are you? No, Butalbital is a barbiturate that is commonly combined with other medications, such as the Acetaminophen and Caffeine in this medication, to treat migraines and tension headaches. The name brand for it is Fioricet. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, insomnia and nervousness. I'm not sure what you were reading. Here's some definitive info from Actavis who bought out Watson. fioricet.com Briefly: New formulation is out because of FDA requirements (reduces Tylenol from 325 to 300). No change to Butalbital or caffeine mg's Tablets are discontinued. Only capsules are available. The formulation without Codeine is NOT a schedule III drug (Actavis received an FDA exemption) If your doc writes for tabs you may want to discuss having him alter the scrip so that it doesn't get bounced. The good news is that it looks like the Brand Name will still be available. I had GREAT luck with West Ward for over 30 years. The white tabs by Qualitest suck so I'm going to pay the extra and go for the Brand to see how well it works. Good luck everyone. ## Has anyone ever heard of the mfg, of butalbital...
