I had a high normal level, my Nephrology she did not tell this. It was on some of the medical papers that she gave me what does that mean. ## Hi Pauline, From what I understand, nephrology deals with kidney function and the treatment of various kidney problems. However you weren't really clear at all on what specific "levels" you might've been referring to? So I'm naturally a bit confused on how to even begin addressing your questions & concerns regarding this. Would you please take some time to post back with more information on what it really is that you're describing as "high normal levels" in 'something'? Thanks! ## I am sorry I take Pot Cl Micro 20mg. I was trying to find find did that have anything to do with it. ## Thanks for posting ba...

What does diabetes mean in English.. ## Hello, Yer! How are you? Diabetes is a medical term that's used to describe a disease in which someone's body is unable to control the levels of sugars in their bloods on its own, it leads to the levels regularly going higher and higher, especially after meals that are dense in fats, sugars and carbohydrates. Over the long term, it can cause severe organ and never damage, which may result in death. The NIH has several great articles about it, if you'd like to research and read more. Treatment usually involves, diet, exercise and medications that help the body make better use of simple sugars. Is there anything else I can help with?

i had to stop taking methotrexate over 8 weeks ago as my enzym levels went up, they are still rising hospital dont know why, i,m due to go for a scan, has anyone any ideas why this is still happening ? ## Which enzymes have gone up? There are many different ones in your body that they may be checking. Are you referring to liver enzymes? They can raise upon occasion without it really meaning anything dangerous, because many medications are processed through the liver and it may just need a break or support for a bit to get back to normal. ## thank you, yes it is 3 liver enzymes that had gone up, i had some good news this week, 2 of them have started to go down. still waiting for scan

I am able to decipher most of it but am confused about the term eGFR. ## From what I can discover, it helps measure how well your kidneys are working, one of the thing it measures it your creatine levels. It stands for: estimated glomerular filtration rate. Do you have any other questions? ## i have a eGFR >60 with persistent proteinuria is present. what this mean to my kidneys

What medicine treats CPK levels? I have a high level of creatine in my legs (501). Please let me know what medicine would treat this condition? ## That is a systemic level, which means throughout your entire body, not just your legs, though you may primarily be feeling any effects in your legs. Normal levels are 10 to 120 mcg/L, so 501 is, indeed very high. Generally, high creatine levels occur due to some sort of muscle injury, such as a heart attack, stroke, pulmonary infarction, myopathy, brain injury, myocarditis, and etc. Thus, lowering your levels is dependent upon treating the relevant condition that has caused it to be high, so there isn't any one specific medication that can be recommended for you. What action has your doctor advised?

I am suppose to take 60 milligrams of percocets a day for a month, then they are going to test my levels to make sure iv taken all of them. If I take a few of them a few days before my appointment will my levels look as if iv been taking them all month?? ## Hi Victoria, To my understanding, the levels of percocet in your system should appear consistent if you've been taking them over a period of a week or so prior to your appointment. This is just an estimate, since these drugs do take time to build up in your system. I'm not sure what % or levels your doctor might be looking for, but in the worst case scenario I would think that it may be best to just tell him the truth and move on to other means of treatment. These pain pills have so many adverse effects, I have to wonder how ...

I am type 2 diabetic, currently on Glipizide. On long term Prednisone for polymalgia rheumatica for 2 years. Just had cataract surgery and have been on Durezol for 2 weeks t.i.d. Blood sugars are very erratic since doing the eyedrops. MD says no interaction! but something is going on. Eye surgeon says NOT the eyedrops. Any idea why this is happening? ## The Durezol contains the active ingredient Difluprednate, which is another steroid class medication, just like the Prednisone. So yes, it could be causing the problem, especially if you are still taking the Prednisone, since it means that there are now more steroids in your body and they are known to have an effect on blood sugar levels. Have you doctors given you any ideas for resolution, such as adjusting your diabetes medication? ## I...

Been on it for a week and now my blood sugar levels are higher, and I tried to call them and they will not return my calls, so tell me why am I taking something that is making my blood sugars higher? Now I eat less and now my blood sugar is higher. It used to be 140 to 180, now it is 186 to 235 which I have never been this high, so what is the deal? How long do you have to be on it for it to start working? OR maybe it does not work on me. ## Hi Gary, Sorry to hear about the medication not working. From your description I get the sense that it might just be a good idea to ask your doctor about trying something else altogether. Even though Tanzeum (albiglutide) is meant to be used 'along with diet and exercise', a week in without any sort of improvement is a little nerve racking i...

need to know would hydrochlorot affect the creatinine levels l ## Hello, Sky! How are you? What dosage of it are you taking? Where this affects your creatinine level is usually through dehydration. This medication is classified by the FDA as a diuretic, which means it works by removing excess fluid and sodium from the body and if someone isn't taking in enough fluids to make up for it, it can cause dehydration as a side effect. I actually had that happen with a different diuretic prescribed by my cardiologist a few years ago. She had me stop taking it for a couple weeks and then my levels returned to normal. Dehydration is a very well known side effect and even listed by the NIH as a possible cause of elevated creatinine levels.

been vomiting off and on for about an hour, three times, my heads not hurting. woke up had to throw up ## What caused you to start vomiting, and how long has it been going on for? It sounds like it's from something you may have ate (food poisoning possibly). There have been a large number of recalls for certain foods recently, if that is the case. Either way I would recommend checking in with your doctor or going to urgent care. They can better evaluate your condition in person by checking all levels of your health and medical history. In the meantime I would suggest sticking to mostly fresh raw fruits and vegetables for your diet and limit dairy products and poultry. Dairy is mucous forming and can possibly worsen the effects. Cooked foods in general are carcinogenic to humans, alt...

Need to know what the levels mean on a toxicology report for clonazepam 1mg and prozac 40mg once a day. Clonazepam level showed 0.022 mg/L and Prozac level showed 0.11 mg/L ## I have to be honest and say that I have no information on what these levels mean, or if they were appropriate for the prescribed dosages and the person being tested. Such levels involved more than just the prescribed doses, the person's weight, age, metabolism, overall health, activity levels and various other factors go in to figuring out what the appropriate and safe levels are. I'm taking Warfarin to treat lung blood clots and address my antiphospholipid syndrome. I also get occasional panic attacks, so I was wondering what affect on INR taking 1.0mg or 1.5mg of Clonazepam about a couple times a month would have. Does anybody know? ## Hello, DETBrannigan! How are you? Yes, there could be problems. Clonazepam has been known to cause Thrombocytopenia, though it isn't common, there is a risk of it. That doesn't mean that you can't take it, but that your doctor may need to monitor you more closely for awhile and adjust your Warfarin accordingly. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.. Is this pill immediate release or control releassed and Up too how many milligrams can you take at once how many hours apart ? ## Hello, Erin! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by KVK Tech and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation, so it starts working about 15 to 20 minutes after you take it. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. As to how much you can take and when to take it, you should follow your doctor's instructions. Much of it depends on your pain levels and opiate tolerance. can U use pramadol with Prozac & Zanax ? ## Is it possible to use the drug pramadol with Prozac & Zanax for back and leg pain when needed ## Hello, John! How are you? Did you mean Tramadol? The main concern would be between it and the Prozac, since they can both raise Serotonin levels in the brain, which can lead to a dangerous condition called Serotonin Syndrome, if it becomes too elevated. Thus, you should only take them together, if your doctor has prescribed them both and is monitoring you regularly for any possible problems. The FDA classifies Tramadol as an opioid, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.

My 65 pound ate one. 5mg estradiol will it hurt het ## Dear cheese, I would call the Vet, right away. ## @Cheese, Sorry to hear about your dog getting ahold of birth control. I'd imagine that must've been an awkward experience wondering how the dog might react in that moment lol. Although I see you posted this back in May, earlier this year. Do you have any feedback on the status of your dog now? To summarize my own investigation/research on the topic, the levels of toxicity for estrogen are not often reached via the ingestion of contraceptive pills, and is reported to be at dosages greater than 1 mg/kg of body weight. And please correct me if I'm wrong, but this means that a 25lb dog would need to consume quite a few of these pills for a toxic effect. So if I understand tha...
