Why cost increase if they are adding less ingredients and what will they look like, did not pick up due to cost increase...pharmasist said government increased prices Jan 1 has anyone else run into this???? ## Hello, Cici! How are you? No, the government doesn't set the price. It's just my opinion, but my best guess is that your pharmacist was just making up an excuse for the price increase. What really happened is that due to mandatory manufacturing limits, a shortage almost always occurs toward the end of the year and usually is rectified about mid-January of the new year. That coupled with the fact that any with the higher amount of Acetaminophen in them have been discontinued just made the problem even worse and resulted in a price increase. If you can't afford the medic...

I have been on viibryd for a week and have been having awful headaches. I am wondering if it is safe to take a leftover hydrocone from a dental procedure. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? I'm sorry about the headaches. I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these medications, but it's always best to double check with your doctor to be sure. Viibryd has been known to cause migraines, in some people that take it, according to the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dry mouth, weight changes, palpitations, decreased libido and night sweats. However, they should taper off, after a few weeks, when your body gets used to the medication. If not, you should speak to your doctor as it may not be the right medication for you. The FDA classifies Hydrocodone/Acetaminophe...

Did waston quit making the green 10/650?this is what my pharmacist told me when I got my last script, gave me a flat white pill that does nothing to relieve my pain. ## HI, Flash! Sorry that you're so miserable, I do understand. There are actually two issues at play here…. The first is that Watson had some issues with customers being sensitive/allergic to the dyes in their products, so they have been changing them to remove the dyes and, while they claim that is the only change that's been made, many people are complaining that they are no longer effective at treating pain. The second issue is that due to concerns over overdose toxicity and the possibility of liver damage from long term use of high amounts, the FDA has requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Ac...

I have severe back pain from 2 herniated discs, sciatica, disc degeneration and arthritis. I have been taking hydrocodone for years. Started off with 10/750 but now with the changes, down to 10/350. I also take methocarbamol. I've started going to pain management and the doctor has prescribed fentanyl patches 12.5 mcg, along with the hydrocodone for breakthrough pain. So far I've been on the patches for 15 days. After the first few days, I did get some relief but now I'm back to the same pain I was having before. Since this is just the beginning of my prescription with the patches, do they usually increase the dosage? The few days I felt better, it was so nice because it's been years since I've been free of pain. Thanks in advance for your help. ## Hello, Lana! How a...

Walgreens filled for me this time and b4 giving it to me asked "your allergic to tramadol? But you've taken norco?" Being in a hurry I didn't think about it..but I've had to take 2 and I'm itching and breaking out soo I think I'll have to ask them about that ## They are different medications, however, when someone discovers they are allergic to one medication, there is always a risk that they may find more they are allergic to, as well. In such cases, it is best to stop taking it and consult your doctor immediately, according to NIH warnings, such reactions tend to get worse with repeated exposure. Has there been any change?

My family doctor subscribed 10mg Hydro's for me for continuing pain from a lumbar x 4 back fushion. He told me that these were DOT exceptable providing they did not cause drowsiness. Now that he can no longer do DOT medicals with the laws being changed the new DOT Doc says I have to stop taking them even when prescribed and not at work! Please, what's the true story on this prescription drug??? Thank you, Robert ## DOT states that you must have proof that you're taking them legally if you come back positive for them on a drug panel. But, a lot may depend on exactly what it is that you do. See DOT Rule 49 CFR Part 40 Section 40.139 at the DOT website. ## Dot. says any drug that alters the mind in any way is illegal in a comercial rig.that also includes those wonderful steroid...

why did they take it of the market? ## Hello, Ed! How are you? Hydrocodone has not been removed from the market. The only thing pulled from the market were the products that contained higher amounts of Acetaminophen. A change was made to lower that to no more than 325mgs per dose. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Actually I have been taking them for about 9 months after the Watson (Norco) sold the company and made changes to their medication, they claim all they did was remove the yellow dye! BS the medication sucks, it's useless! On to aurobindo, they have worked for the last months as a good replacement however my latest refill, they are horrible, ineffective with headaches, I am guessing greed stepped in and the company made some changes, because these too are now useless! They will learn an expensive lesson as others will turn away from them as I now will. For some reason the pharm industry has less concern for the patient "customer" than any other, they think they can do as they please. ## @webhead, I agree with what you said about the pharmaceutical industry expressing less con...

I am 70 years old and have taken the following 3 medications for the past 4 years, hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-325 T(1 tablet 4 times daily), Tramadol 50MG tablet(1 tab 4 times daily), Fentanyl patch 75 mh (change patch every 3 days). Jan 2017 my insurance stop paying for the Tramadol and hydrocodone unless I went through a pain clinic, I did go to a pain clinic. The pain clinic refused to prescribe both Tramadol and hydrocodone indicating a new law that will not allow it. The new opioid regulation indicates this level is to be monitored and know and understand the symptoms they are prescribed for, but the pain clinic indicate this level is above the limit and I do not need it. I have suffered from juvenile RA since I was 4 years old then degenerative rheumatoid arthritis my entire life,

i get hydroco/apap 10-500 they used to be pink and now they are giving me white ones that seem to be weaker and i am just want to know are they giving me the right meds or are the giving me a weaker brand I think they are giving me 5's instead of 10's the writing on the pill looks like watson 540 thank you ## The tablets with the WATSON 540 marking contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, so they did provide you with the correct dosage. However, Watson recently changed them to remove the dye, which is why they are now white and there have actually been many posts from people saying that they no longer seem to be as effective. Learn more Vicodin details here. Another note I'd like to added is that as of 2013, the FDA has made a request that all manufacturers ...

can I take hydrocodone 15 hours after taking tylenol ## Hi Jack, Based on my research, after about 6-8 hours there should only be very small amounts of Tylenol left in your system. However, that could change depending on the amount taken. How many Tylenol did you take? Learn More: Tylenol Details ## I took two 500mg doses of regular Tylenol roughly an hour ago. Is it safe to take one 5-325mg tablet of Norco (hydrocodone/tylenol)? I am in excruciating pain. ## You can take it at the same time! Most hydrocodone drugs have Tylenol in them.!!!

I started the 40 mg does of Viibryd about 3 weeks ago; I take it at night with supper. I have been prescribed Hydrocodone/acetam 10-325 mg for knee pain. I take the Hydrocodone as needed for pain, and I try to take it in the daytime away from the time I typically take the Viibryd. Question can I take the two together or should I keep taking them separately as I am doing. ## I didn't find any contraindications listed, so either way is likely fine, unless your doctor, or pharmacist instructs otherwise. However, taking them at the same time, or close together, may result in your experiencing more side effects than usual, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, sedation, dry mouth, headache, and mood changes. Has Mallinckrodt Ph recently changed the inactive ingredients in the Hydrocodon-Acetaminophen 7.5-325. Have been on them in the past with no side effects but now I have various possible side effect. My Dr changed me from 10-325 to 5-325 because I broke the pill on half. The 10's were barely working. He said they did not appear in my metabolites. I called him out on this bc he must have lied. I never missed any dosages. I think he was wrong. ## Hello, Georgette! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. If you were only taking half of the prescribed dosage, then the amount might have been lower than it should have been and, in some cases, that's treated the same as it not being detected, at all. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is he still prescribing the lower dose for you? ## Well, I was on hydrocodone 10/325. I have chronic neck...

I have a raging toothache. I took one Tylenol 3 at 5:30. I found some Hydrocodone from when I had a stroke. Can I take the Hydrocodone instead? Tylenol 3 did nothing for it, and I'm in severe pain. ## Hello, Kay! How are you doing? Has there been any change? The Codeine in Tylenol 3 is very mild and doesn't help everyone with pain. Hydrocodone is stronger, but you shouldn't take it, unless your doctor or dentist instructs you to do so. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Anyone think this is just as effective as Vicodin and Watson etc? Thanks :) ## Not even close. My pain seems the same. I've taken two at a time and it's had no effect at all. ## Yes, I have really suffered in pain this month on tris pharma and will never try them again. My chiropractor is making a lot of money this month LOL more than his usual amount. I told my pharmacist and he said he will not order them next month. I actually have a science degree, and I looked up the background of Watson which is now owned by Teva pharmaceuticals (originally out of Israel) they seem top-notch! And they produce Watson. Thank you for your reply :-) ## Please correct me if I'm wrong Kitty, but didn't Watson acquire Actavis and change their name to 'Actavis'? (Re: actavis.co.id/...

I have a right below the knee amputation due to a land mine that happened in 1968, have never needed pain meds up until 2 to 3 years ago at which time my doc prescribed hydroc/apap 10-650 mg--formerly lortab. Now it has been changed to the same thing only in a 10-325 mg which from what I have been told was due to a change in the law Jan 2014-the 10-650 did a fair job if I oook one every 4 hrs of course the 10-325 do not seem to help very much, have about a 8 out of ten on the pain chart. My wife was given Oxycod/ap 5-325 when she had Cancer surgery, I have taken some of the leftovers and can go 8 to 10 hrs without much pain at all. I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between them, but it is always best to double check to be sure. However, I can also tell you that they are frequently prescribed together to treat pain and swelling. Hi. My doctor just changed me from oxycodone 7.5/325 to hydrocodone 10/325. Is it safe to start taking the hydrocodone 6 hours after taking Percocet 7.5/325? ## Usually, you can switch cleanly from one to the other, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise. For example, if they directed you to take them every 8 hours, then that is what you should do. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. What instructions did they provide? Are you on any other medications?
