xanax withdrawls
I've been xanax for 3 yrs the withdrawls are very intense and can be leathal depending on how bad you addiction is. when i have withdrawls im cold sweaty shaking puking the worst feeling ever and sometime have covulsions. if you wanna come off xanax do it slowly and let your doctor know ## Do NOT stop xanax cold turkey, it can kill you! I have been on xanax for 20 years. 1mg at night. I decided I did not want this drug to own me. I cut back to 1/4 of the 1 mg. Big mistake. Head hurt, confused, trouble walking, light headed. I talked to my doctor and he told me to take 1/2 mg for 6 months then go to 1/4 for 6 months. The first two days after I started taking the 1/4 of a mg, I do not remember anything of those two days. I started the 1/2 mg last night and I hope the withdrawls start ... ...

Pristiq Withdrawls
I have been on Pristiq for about 4 years and was on levoxyl for a few years prior. I had started taking Sarafem 925mg) about 8 or 9 yrs ago for pms by my gyno. I had thyroid cancer 11 years ago and I have not been the same since I had my thyroid removed. I dont know if I should be blaming the fact that I dont have a thyroid on my issues or if I am truly depressed. I want to be off Pristiq to see how I am now without any meds. I am having a lot of bad thoughts but don't know if that is part of the withdrawl. I have not had any brain zaps and I had taken my 50mg every other day for 2 weeks and am now on every 3rd day. I am feeling a little foggy with occasional dizziness and did cry on Mother's Day but I was missing my mom too so not sure what is realted to what. What will the Dr.... ...

I take atleast 250mgs a day and now I have withdrawls cause I can't fill my perscription for 10 days. Please help! ## yes dilaudid will help with oxycodone withdrawals but there is a problem with dilaudid you can eat and get unsick but to get the real bang you have to abuse them and alot of people start just by doing it one time then cant stop because it is the best high you can have just being honest ## Dilaudid is just another narcotic, so yes it can help, but you do need to be careful not to take too much of it, or you run the risk of overdose. neurontin withdrawls
I want to get off of neurotin I'm takig 300 mg 3x daily how long will it take? ## My father has been taking 300 mg of neurontin every morning for approximately 3 years for treatment of neuropathic pain in his feet. He was diagnosed with dementia at least two years ago and his confusion and psychosis has progressively worsened. A nurse friend of mine told me I should immediately take him off the drug since her pharmacist advised her to do the same with her father whose psychotic behavior became worse when he started neurontin. She reports a remarkable improvement after he was off the drug three days. Should I try this and what are the risks? ## For anyone still seeking this information, since this medication works on brain chemicals, because it is an anticonvulsant, it should be slow... ...

Withdrawls/Side Effects
I started Effexor XR 75mg in July of last year. I had insomnia for a month, and continuous dry mouth until I bought some a dry mouth oral rinse. I was brought up to 150mg in December or January. I started sweating a lot at night. Changing my clothes 3 to 4 times a night. Insomnia lasted about a month. During all of this time, I also experienced weight loss as it suppressed my cravings. I have tried twice to cold turkey it, and both times it ended in disaster. Suicidal thoughts being the main one. I went to the doctor, and I am now on 75mg daily. (i did get the wonderful brain zaps and mood swings for about a week) What my main concern is: when I upped the doses, certain side effects would calm down after a month. Night sweats and insomnia. They would still be there, just a lot less. Now... ...

Will Somas Stop Baclofen Withdrawls
my husband has been on baclofen for 2 years and is having trouble refilling his script because his dr. wont ok it to be refilled. Don't know why but I was wondering if somas would help ease his baclofen withdrawls? He is a quadroplegic and can't even throw up without my help. Can anyone help with something that will ease his withdrawls. ## Have you asked his doctor? There has to be some reason he won't authorize a refill and they should be willing to tell you. Has your husband been in for an appointment recently, or did he miss an appointment? Learn more Baclofen details here. They are both muscle relaxants, but since he is a quadriplegic, trying to give him another medication, without a doctor's approval could be very dangerous. ...

fentanyl patch withdrawls
how long does the nausea and vomiting last? ## There is no way to say with certainty, much of it depends on the person. Without more information, such as the dosage and how long you were on it, I can't even really provide you with a rough estimate. Can you post back with more details? Thanks! This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I started out on the 12.5 mcg. moving up to the 75 mcg over a eight month period. made me awful sick, weight loss, vomiting, abdominal pain ect.. went back down to the 50 mcg then 25 mcg. took that patch off 30 days ago. still having slight withdrawls. but, the nausea ( all the time) and vomiting ( 2-3 times a week) are very ... ...

Fentanyl Patches Withdrawls
I'm being weaned off of 25mcg of fentanyl patches. The doctor gave me five 12.5 patches to wean me off of the 25mcg patch and told me when I felt it was the right time to take it off, to go ahead and do so. Now I'm still having withdrawal's. Granted not as bad of one I had when I ran out of the 25mcg. I'm restless and take .5mg of klonopin twice a day and vistril 25mg for break threw panic disorder I have and a slight heaviness and pain in my chest along with headache. I nausea. I've now turned to marajuana to cope with anxiety and nausea. I figure they give to cancer patients to help. Its herbal and non addictive except psychologically. The doctor never said or asked about an alternative for withdrawal. I've read a lot on here and has helped tremendously! I than... ...

mixture of meds and withdrawls
i have severe hot&cold flashes with high blood pressure, freezing, sweating, weakness and shakes ## I had the same symptoms in my early twenties; although, I never verified the high blood pressure at the time. I was subsequently diagnosed with hypoglycemia(sp?). I withdrew sugar completely from my diet--no small feat for me--for about two years and made sure I drank a glass of milk mixed with high protein powder every day (watch out for calories!). My symptoms completely disappeared. Taking sugar completely out of your diet may be a little too much for you, but in my case, the symptoms were severe and occured frequently. I suggest you see a doctor first. OR If you are nearing menopause, as I am at this point in my life, the very same symptoms apply, also. I had breast cancer about 12 y... ...

Can you have withdrawls from oxycodone when switching to fentanyl patch?
Seven years of back pain with long history of muscle relaxant and more recently oxycodone and lorazepam. Docs finally did MRI and found Spondylolisthesis Grade 3-4 with bulging disc and appears vertebrae have already fused. Still being worked up by Neuro surgeon. Pain mgmt. just switched me from 10mg Vicodin every 4 hrs to 25mcg Fentanyl patch every 3 days with 7.5 Vicodin every 6-8 hrs for breakthrough. Started patch last week. First seemed to work okay but over the last two patches breakthrough pain has increased with increased pain down my legs. I get sweats then chills with pain in all my joints, arms, legs, hands, feet. Seems increasing my Vicodin and taking it more frequently is the only thing that relieves it but sometimes need 30mg of Vicodin in a short time-frame. Not sure if the ...

Xanax withdrawls - going off xanax
I am now into my 4th day off of suboxane. The side effects are getting better. I used .5mg xanax, sometimes I took up to four the first two days off of suboxane. By the end of this week, I feel I should be OK. I am Taking 3 , .5mg of xanax throughout the day and night at the moment. I want to begin to taper off xanax.. What can I expect for side effects from the w/drawl, how fast should I go so that I don't hurt myself. Somepeople seem to have no effects...I doubt I will be THAT lucky! Any suggestions? I DO NOT want to see a DR because I am afraid they will put me on something else. The DR is the one who started all this in the first place due to an arm injury 2yrs ago and oxycotin RX's. So you can see why I am a little leary of the people in the " white coats." I just w... ...

Klonapin, depression, and withdrawls
My friend who has a legal prescription for klonapin, due to her being clinically depressed. She gets 60 1mg. tabs and within 4 days they are gone.... seriously! For instance she got 60 tabs at 9pm onTuesday and by Friday they were gone. Now for the last 5 days she has been suicidal, upset and crying, and she wants and needs help. My questions are; Is the depression normal that she is experiencing, in this situation and is there anyway I can help her? Is she withdrawing from the medication? She is loosing her balance and falling. Burning her clothes, carpet and furniture. And finally how long will it take for the pills to leave her system so she is no longer experiecing these side affects. She also has a problem with Norcos at the begining of the month.. ## To be honest, what your friend... ...

I Have Been Taking 30mg Of Methadone For 6 Weeks And Changed Script Now Take Percocet How Long Will It Me To Stop Having Withdrawls
I have been taking 30mg a day of methadone for 6 weeks and wanted to switch to percocet and changed script now take 45mg of percocet a day. How long will it take for me to stop having withdrawls symptoms from methadone? I am feeling sick even while I am taking the percocet. Is it possible to still go through methadone withdrawls even while you are taking the percocet? ## You should not be switching from methadone to percocet which is very addictive also. If your Dr. can perscribe suboxen try that. It helps to take away the pain of opiate withdrawl. ## I forgot to mention Suboxen can also be addictive.. ## Methadone is well known to cause withdrawals, regardless of what it is replaced with. That is why many people end up on a lifetime maintenance dose of it, rather than ever being able t... ...

if I've been on 20mg of methadone for 3 days, will i get any withdrawls if i stop
I was taking 10mg norco 6× a day for 7 years and wanted off so my sister talked me in to getting on methadone. I've gone for 3 days and been getting 20mg a day but I don't like how it makes me feel. I feel really high on it and feel like I'm gonna pass out. So I don't want to go any more my question is will I have withdrawal from that small amount that I've been on? I've recently been told methadone withdrawal is horrible. ## Hello, Cindy! How are you feeling? You might be better off asking them to lower the dosage, rather than stopping, because yes, you aren't out of the woods for withdrawals, yet. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and co... ...
