My grandson is getting married at the end of July and I need to lose 25 lbs. Are there any appetite suppressants that are safe to take? ## Lipozene is a dietary supplement advertised to help with weight loss. Both the wiki page and the official website state that the active ingredient is Glucomannan (considered a dietary fiber), which is extracted from the Konjac Root. Because it is not classified as a pharmaceutical drug, you can't really get a definite answer through a drug interaction checker. Their FAQ page says "Always consult a health care professional before using this or any other dietary supplements. Stomach discomfort could arise. There are no known side effects when taking Lipozene® or MetaboUP PLUS as directed." With that being said, if you are already prone...

I've been taking it for mine for awhile, now, and it has really helped a lot, it also mostly eliminated my night sweats. Have a St Jude valve and had a bad reaction to Warfarin. Is it safe to use together? ## From what I've read, there have been statements from clinical trials making note of an exaggerated initial response to Warfarin, following a heart valve replacement. However I haven't come across any other specific details on the topic, so unfortunately I don't know if this is referring to side effects or the medication's overall efficacy. You mentioned that you had a bad reaction to Warfarin; but was it directly following the installment or replacement of your St. Jude valve? If so, I would recommend contacting your doctor as soon possible for more information regarding any potential side effects or interactions from Warfarin. Is Ergo 7 + contraindicated when taking Warfarin ? Thanks, Pat ## When it comes to comparing natural supplements with prescription drugs, there unfortunately doesn't appear to be any reliable source of information pertaining to possible safety concerns or interactions. After looking at the ingredients in Ergo 7, I have no reason to believe that there would be an interaction of any kind. However you may want to play it safe by starting with a small dose and just working your way up to see how you respond to the combination. I hope this helps. It definitely looks like a supplement that I would consider trying!

I have a lot of different illness and pain, I used to take tylonol ibuprofin etc, but started taking warfarin 5mg to thin blood and now they say i cannot take pain pills that also thin the blood. Q. what can I take for pain that will not interfere?? ## Hi Martha, From what I've read, Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen are two types of pain medications that do not thin the blood in and of themselves. Is taking Garcinia Cambogias contraindicated for people taking Warfarin? Thanks Pat ## Hi Pat, Based on my research, when it comes to most herbal supplements, the drug interactions with prescription drugs are not well known until they have been around a long time. The majority of herbal supplements are usually well tolerated and don't interact but it's impossible to know for sure. If I can make any suggestions, it would be to let your doctor know that you are taking this supplement and to monitor any side effects while taking the Garcinia Cambogias and Warfarin together. If it were me, I would just take some notes based on how I'm feeling after starting the supplement- just to be aware of any odd changes that might occur.
