Hi, I am very slim. 5'2 and no more than 95lbs and that's pushing it!! I have no appetite and a very fast metabolism!! I cannot afford to buy any weight supplement over the counter. I don't have a doctor as of yet either as almost no doctor will accept patients who are on Oregon Health Plan!! I've been on some kind of thyroid medicine for nearly ten years. Maybe two occassions where my prescription has had to be altered. They want me to come in every six months for a check up, which is one vile of blood and not even a 1/2 hour consultation. I can't afford to go that often and they just cut my refills until i set up an appointment. Is this legal or am i just going to javeto deal with this kind of thing for the restof my life. Something to keep in mind though is that if you intend on using this medication for weight gain, doing so may be a waste of time in my opinion, since Cyproheptadine is an antihistamine and weight gain is only listed a possible side effect that may or may not occur. I was prescribed Lexamil 5mg and I took 1 on the 11.11.2010 before reading the prescription note. I am feeling so overweight, and my bowel movement is totally altered. How long does the effects last? Alternatively how do I reverse this? ## Lexamil contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, it is an antidepressant. Yes, many of them can cause some weight gain, however, taking on pill is not enough to have that effect. It may have caused some bloating and intestinal upset, however, these are normal side effects and should wear off in a few weeks as your body adjusts to the medication. I was prescribed seroquel xr only for sleep 150 mg for about 3 to 4 years. Gained about 30 lbs Read on other forums there is no hope getting the weight off when you wean off the drug.
