Please ## As reported by the FDA, withdrawal symptoms may possibly include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, rebound pain, depression, anxiety and diarrhea. Quitting cold turkey generally isn't advised, because this medication is very hard to get off of. How are you doing with it? ## I'm not sure just staying home the diarria started today I just couldn't afford methadone anymore. My counselor advised against but I'm tired of taking it everyday since I started 4 yrs ago I went from 180lbs to 345lbs and now I just want my life back thanks for the help. ## HEY! I have been using dilaudid and morphine sulfate for the past month for post op revision hip surgery. and quit taking it gradually for the past week. How long does it take to get over the hot and cold sweats and the post op depression. ## Hi, Kathleen! Sorry about the symptoms you're still having. It's a bit difficult to say how long it will take for them to go away, it can vary form person to person and it could take a couple more weeks. Are you certain that they are all due to stopping the medication and having the surgery? There are other things that may cause it, including hormones, stress, your trepidations over the surgery itself… Have you consulted your doctor?

I just got out of Dover Behavior health for a nervous meltdown I was prescribed Paxil & xanax what scares me is the other medications I'm on which are percocet 10mg no Tylenol & oxycontin 40mg. I went today to pain management and they had received my record's for Dover. I told my Dr my fears and she said that my fears were just my anxiety and I had no need for worrying. I just think that's a lot of medications. am I just over reacting or are my fears valid? I need somebody to tell me what they think. {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Susan! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the hospitalization. However, your doctor is correct, as long as they aren't causing you any bad symptoms, then there is no reason to worry. Many people take far more medications in a d...

I was on Belviq fir approx 3 weeks. I felt as though I was having bipolar episodes. Manic phases. On Thanksgiving day I decided enough! I stopped the belviq. I had been on Zoloft for 2-3 years & weaned off to take belviq. My doctor was very against me starting belviq but I badgered him until he agreed to let me try it. I regret it. Since coming off belviq & recently starting the Zoloft again, I now have constant anxiety with depression. I'm hoping Zoloft will start helping soon, it's only been 1 week back on. I've lost 5lbs exercising with beach body products & eating healthier. I will never try a weight loss pill again. My life is a mess right now. ## Hello, Abby! How are you feeling? On my last day of treatment: I am PALE and depressed.... Is this normal? Feeling tired and just a sense of feeling real bad with no explanation. ## Yes, this antibiotic may cause those types of symptoms, it could also be due to your having had an infection. As listed by the FDA, other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and diarrhea. If things get worse, or don't improve in a week, or so, you should see your doctor, again. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have read the Ketamine thread, I saw that you had quite a bit of input although I don't remember where you are in your journey to successful treatment. In today's modernized world, there are numerous ways to combat and cope with symptoms of depression. Unfortunately, western medicine seems to focus its attention too heavily on treating it once it's already there as opposed to preventing it to begin with. The problem I see with this approach is that many of the medications available don't actually work or are too riddled with side effects for patients to see lasting results. While this may not apply to everyone, it's interesting to note that a few articles from the Journal of the American Medical Association have paved the way to exploring various preventive methods including, problem-solving education [1], resistance exercise training [2] and psychological preventive intervention. Problem-solving education is intriguing...

Has anyone tried Scopace for managing their depression? ## It contains the active ingredient Scopolamine and in October of 2006, researchers said that is did seem to improve the symptoms of depression and the effects lasted for at least a week, after it was discontinued. There were supposed to be more trials completely in September of 2011, but I haven't found anything regarding their outcome. Has your doctor suggested you try it?

I am experiencing anxiety attacks and depression. ## Stopped taking percocet.1 month if I take it again will I go through withdrawals didn't abuse it quit c/t wasn't feeling good. Helps with depression 3 a day tops. ## I have tried 5 different anti depressants. This was not ever to get high. Don't do drugs except this after hernia but it just helps tremendously. ## Percocet contains the active ingredients Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic analgesic. It actually acts in the body as a depressant, so to have it help with depression symptoms is very unusual. It can also be habit forming, so you must be very careful when using it and its normal side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Percocet details here. I am wondering if anybody else out there has taken Hydrocodone and noticed that symptoms of depression are alleviated? I find that many of today's anti-anxiety and antidepressant drugs come with unpleasant side effects, whereas while taking Hydrocodone they aren't there. The caveat to all of this is that yes, I know that Hydrocodone and opiates in general can be addictive. So long term use would result in withdrawal symptoms. I'm just wondering who else might agree with me on this? ## I have taken dozens of antidepressants as well as been prescribed antipsycotics and other meds for off-label usage, and nothing has worked effectively over the past 15 years. I will take hydrocodone for a chronic pain condition, and, YES, oh my goodness, YES, it seems to make me immune to a dep...

I've been reading, and posting about Adderall, specifically Amphetamine Salts vs. Amphetamine IR. I think I need to mention that I was prescribed Adderall for depression, not ADD. ## Hi Wendy, Thanks for sharing your experience with Adderall. How effective do you find it to be for managing symptoms of depression? I've never heard of anyone being prescribed it for that purpose, but I can imagine how a boost in energy and being more productive during the day might take away some of those gloomy feelings...especially during this time of year when people are just trying to stay warm inside their home. Has anyone else tried it for depression and what are your thoughts? ## I beleive I was on the Mayo Clinic website looking up Adderall when I noticed it was indicated for depression. My...

I had taken Sotret, 30 mg for 2 months back in 2010. without much problem I developed back pain in 2012. In winters I developed elbow and knee pain as well. Back pain went away with exercise and elbow and knee pain went away with summers. Now I am living in Bangalore, thus havent exposed to winters for a year. I have no problem in others joints at all. My question is that can these symptoms which emerged much later than my dosage(tht too very less) can be the reason for such achy (just elbow and knee) joint pain?? My CT scan says everything is right with my skeleton system. ## Just to add. I have other problem. My head hairs are strong, body hairs are few. No stomach problem as such. Nothing as such at all. About from mild depression in 2013.

Does anyone have experience of being treated with Dilantin for anxiety/depression/ADHD symptoms ? If so, could you advise me on dosage - Thanks ## Hope things have gotten better since you posted this. I have depression and anxiety as was adult ADD. I take patil. 10mg of Ativan as needed for the anxiety and to help me sleep when I can't calm my mind, and also Ritalin 10mg 2 times a day. The Ritalin being added really made a difference. I am not wanting to stay in bed. It has helped with my productivity and has helped me focus at work. I know this will not work for everyone but it sure did for me. ## I have taken Dilantin since I was 9 months old, then all kinds of drugs. Does anyone else have feedback after 10 years of Dilantin?

Can you please tell me what the withdrawals are like after stopping Trika? My mother has recently stopped taking them and is getting very depressed. ## Hello, Navgan! How are you? This medication is listed as containing the active ingredient Alprazolam and yes, it can cause rebound depression, rebound anxiety and the risk of seizures, upon sudden withdrawal, as listed by the FDA. How long was she taking them and what dosage was she taking? ## My dad is addicted to Trika 0.5mg and the doses are getting increased. Can you please tell me if it is possible to come out of this addiction with or without withdrawal symptoms? If yes, how should we proceed? Hi, yesterday I was very depressed and I took roughly about 400mg adderall ir within a one hour period. Its been about 24hrs since I took it, haven't slept yet and I have a severe migraine and extremely nauseous. I do get light headed when I stand up. How long will this last? Do I need to go to the hospital? ## Hello, JJ! How are you feeling? Yes, even if you suffered no other adverse effects, you should inform your doctor that you took that much. Overdosing can sometimes cause organ damage that requires medical treatment, even if you don't notice any immediate symptoms of problems. Are you seeing a doctor for your depression? The FDA classifies Adderall as a stimulant that is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cau...

This thread is to discuss Ibogaine as a means to treat Depression and Pain Management, including, but not limited to, anxiety, IBS, joint pain, brain fog, shortness of breath, backpain, FMS, CFS, anhedonia, sleep problems, racing thoughts, loss of libido -- symptoms which are often associated with depression. I would like to start a discussion on the subject since there is a lack of information regarding Ibogaine as a viable treatment option for Depression. Most information on the web only deals with Addiction treatment. This is an off-shoot of the thread Ketamine for Depression. You can find more information regarding my past history with depression and avenues of treatment that I've pursued in that thread (for example see post # 392 over there). Ibogaine.
