i am 47 and have been on this drug twice a day for around 3yrs and since taking i have had muscles spasms, twitching,constipation,feeling high,but the drugs works well so am not sure whether to continue and put up with these side effects which can be quite annoying or check with doctor about changing the drug ? what do you think ## Is the only one in this drug class that you've tried? i am taking the above 2 drugs for the last about two months. I am diabitic for the last about 25 years and with good control over my sugar. I have a sedentary lifestyle. How long I have to take these medicines. I feel sleepy and lazy all the time. ## Which other medication are you taking? You only listed one. You should take the medication as long as your doctor says you need to continue doing so. The NIH lists the typical side effects of Pregabalin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight gain.

71 yearsa old male, ht 162 cms.Had open heart surgery on 28 Jan 2011. Post Herpetic Neuralgia on 25 June was prescribed Pregabalin 75mg 2xBD. Viminta Forte 1xOD has now been added. Besides drowsiness, dry mouth, I have gained 5 kg weight(from 63 to 68 kgs) in the last three months and have developed severe constipation. Also there is a conspicuous droop of left eyelid which is now almost obstructing my vision. Earlier I was suffering from severe pain in the effected area (left side of sotmatch from naval to my backbone), sudden stabbing sensation and attacks of itching, which has now decreased to 40%. I was having burning sensation at my back and later on my fingers and am diagnosed for fibromialgia .I am taking the above mentioned capsule for the past 3 months .How long shd I continue. I have LS straightening, osteophytes formation,annular tears with posterior herniation in L4,L5 and S1. have pain and burning sensation in LS region and in left leg,especially knee. What is difference between Maxgalin 75 and Maxgallin ER 75. I took first one for more 3 months. Later Dr changed to ER 75- I do not get any relief. I feel my leg fingers tough from inside but out worldly these are normal with all movements. I feel fingure toes burning all the time. I am a diabetic of over 20 yrs but it is under control. My husband is taking the following medications: Olmetec 40mg + Zanidip 10mg + Plavix 75mg + Lasix 40mg + Cartia aspirin 100mg; 1 each morning. He is also taking: 2 Panadol Osteo 5mg x 3 times daily + 1 Pregabalin 25mg + 1 Vytorin 10/40mg at night. All prescribed by his GP. He had a triple bypass in 2014; stents 1 in Feb, 2 in Nov 2016; Radical prostectomy for cancer in 2006; Radiation for secondary cancers in 2009; Neurosurgery for a subdural hemorrhage in 2013. He has had breathing problems and used inhalers off and on for 4 years (is now off these). He does have asbestos fibers in his lungs, but thankfully no major problems there. But he is having problems with tiredness throughout the day and is constantly sleeping. Is this due to the mixture of drugs he is on now?
