I want to know any effects that Mehadone 5 mg has on the body. I took it two nights and made me ill. ## Methadone is a synthetic opioid; a few of its common side effects are: Hypoventilation, Constipation, Constricted pupils, Nausea, Low blood pressure, Hallucination Headache, Vomiting, Cardiac arrhythmia, and Anorexia. It is a white round pill with no markings except for a score line in the middle on one side ## Hi lois, Here in the U.S. the lowest I've seen online are only 5 and 10mg generic doses. I can argue though that there is an article on a study done here in the states, where cancer patients were randomly assigned to receive methadone 7.5 mg orally every 12 hours for 4 weeks. So I do believe it is available, but maybe only prescribed under specific circumstances. I could be wrong, but as of yet I have not come across anything stating otherwise. I've been on 95 mg. Of liquid methadone for 4 yrs. I am 330lbs 39 yrs old and quit 3 days ago cold turkey um im very afraid now. Please tell me what can I expect to happen? So, unfortunately, there is no way I could possible describe them all to you, as they will all have different markings on them, to enable identification by company and dosage and each can also be a different size, shape and color according to the whim of the manufacturer. Upon taking this med,it started to dissolve in my mouth by the time I got water in a glass and put it to my lips to swallow the pill, 10 mg. methadone with ASC 116 on one side ## Hello, Jan! How are you? It sounds like you were letting it sit in your mouth on your tongue for a moment, before taking a drink to swallow it, which is not the proper way to take pills. You should actually place them as far back as possible, to the very end of your tongue, just short of choking on it and drink the water immediately. When it came time 2 taper, I went through horrible withdrawals. I made it down 2 (24mg). It was pure heck! The key is 2 do it VERY SLOWLY. There r also medications that can help. They will order anything if they know you will get it filled there. They need some advance notice but they know it's a standing order now so now it's no problem.
