I would like to know which drug is similar to tramadol but can be taken with lexapro? ## Unfortunately, from what I am finding, all of the centrally acting analgesics in that class can cause problems with Serotonin Syndrome, if they are taken with the Lexapro. The same warnings come up for the other options, such as Tapentadol: Has your doctor recommended anything? ## As usual Verwon has been to the reference library. It is true that really only the relatively new to market tapentadol HCl, branded Palexia, Tapal, and in USA Nucynta, is similar in that it is both a mild opioid and SNRI. Tramadol is the stronger drug mg for mg, but is not much more potent than the true opioid dihydrocodeine tartrate. Both of the atypical drugs with SNRI action are partial mu-antagonists. Onset of action a...

What is the difference in the drug called Apo/Tramadol/Acet 325/37.5 mg to the drug Tramadol 300 mg. I have run out of my Trmadol and have the Apo/Tramodol on hand but am not sure of the dosage if it is the same? ## Call your druggist...they can help you. ## The Tramadol that you were taking was 300mgs of just Tramadol by itself in an extended release formulation. Learn more Tramadol details here. The tablet that you've asked about from Apotex contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and only 37.5mgs of the Tramadol, it's often prescribed under the brand name Ultracet. Learn more Ultracet details here. And on that note, it's a much lower dosage of the Tramadol than you are used to taking, so it may not help you as well. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been taking tramadol for about 2 months they I am now taking about 500 mg at once to help me sleep and it's not working for the pain can i go higher to 600mg ## The recommended maximum daily dose of Tramadol is 400mgs, so you are already exceeding that amount. Learn more Tramadol details here. As an analgesic, it may cause some drowsiness as a side effect, but really isn't meant to assist with problems sleeping, it is usually solely used for pain. Thus, you may do better if you tried an actual sleep aid for that and just this for pain, or an alternative medication for pain. a round pill with AN 627 can it be used for pain if you a pancreas disease? ## Hi annie, Based on my research, there is consensus that tramadol is the most effective oral opioid analgesic for reducing pain in persons with chronic pancreatitis; however, tramadol is associated with gastrointestinal adverse effects. Because of that, I would just recommend clarifying with your doctor the 'risks vs benefits' before taking any. I hope this helps!

I need to know how to wean off tramadol without bad withdrawls.please help? ## Hello Marie :) The best thing you can do is talk to your doctor that is prescribing it. They should be able to come up with a good taper plan for you and also might have other meds to put you on to make this process easier. Talk to you doctor about Gabapentin (good prescription med to help you with the restleg/sleep/pain you get at night). Also an anxiety med during the day would be helpful. If you have been ordering it off the internet and/or are not able to get a doctor here are some suggestions. Cutting cold turkey is not advisable (I have done it twice and the withdrawals are awful and can be dangerous) Tapering really depends on how long and how much you take a day, but if you check out this article it h...

can tramadol help with my severe itching caused by my nerves ## Hello, Lois! How are you? No, Tramadol is classified by the FDA as an opioid analgesic, so it won't do anything to treat itching. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Have you consulted your doctor about the itching? Do you take anything for your nerve issues? ## No, this itching is likely an allergic reaction. Call your Doctor and Pharmacist today. ## I'm seeing a dermatologist in less than 3 weeks. Also an ears, nose, and throat doctor on the same day. I'll try to remember to share anything I find out concerning the "itching" thing. Seems to only happen to me at sleep time.- Weird huh ??!!

It doesn't say ## @Lety, Without a lab analysis there's really no honest way to identify something that doesn't carry an imprint. For that reason alone I can't provide you with a picture of a white oval pill and even remotely suggest that it could be tramadol. Secondly, if your tramadol pill and prescription bottle are not properly labeled, then that tells me they are counterfeit (and could literally contain anything from A to Z). "HAB" Pharmaceuticals IS based in India and from what I can tell they appear to be a legitimate drug manufacturer there. However, upon looking at their product page, the only photo they have of Tramadol depicts it as being a small white round 100mg tablet (NOT capsule); and it goes by the brand name "Top-Dol".
