Hello all. I usually take vicodin when I have bad back pain, but wanted to try something that wouln't knock me out. I asked my Dr about tramadol and he said he'd only prescribe one or the other. Long story short I ordered online and got green and orange capsules in a blister pack from zenlabs. The pack says the drug is zendol-50, containing 50mg of tramadol. It was produced for zenlabs Canada in India. Now, these are very different than the little white pills I'm used to seeing. I took 3 last night (never taken that much before) and didn't feel much of anything. Can anyone help tell me if i'm taking some unknown drug or the real thing? Like most Indian meds, there is no imprint on the pill itself. ## Sorry, without an imprint it is impossible to postiviely identify w... ...

What Analgesics Are Like Tramadol

I would like to know which drug is similar to tramadol but can be taken with lexapro? ## Unfortunately, from what I am finding, all of the centrally acting analgesics in that class can cause problems with Serotonin Syndrome, if they are taken with the Lexapro. The same warnings come up for the other options, such as Tapentadol: Has your doctor recommended anything? ## As usual Verwon has been to the reference library. It is true that really only the relatively new to market tapentadol HCl, branded Palexia, Tapal, and in USA Nucynta, is similar in that it is both a mild opioid and SNRI. Tramadol is the stronger drug mg for mg, but is not much more potent than the true opioid dihydrocodeine tartrate. Both of the atypical drugs with SNRI action are partial mu-antagonists. Onset of action a... ...

I have run out of my Trmadol and have the Apo/Tramodol on hand but am not sure of the dosage if it is the same? ## Call your druggist...they can help you. ## The Tramadol that you were taking was 300mgs of just Tramadol by itself in an extended release formulation. The tablet that you've asked about from Apotex contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and only 37.5mgs of the Tramadol, it's often prescribed under the brand name Ultracet. I have been taking tramadol for about 2 months they I am now taking about 500 mg at once to help me sleep and it's not working for the pain can i go higher to 600mg ## The recommended maximum daily dose of Tramadol is 400mgs, so you are already exceeding that amount. Learn more Tramadol details here. As an analgesic, it may cause some drowsiness as a side effect, but really isn't meant to assist with problems sleeping, it is usually solely used for pain. Thus, you may do better if you tried an actual sleep aid for that and just this for pain, or an alternative medication for pain. a round pill with AN 627 can it be used for pain if you a pancreas disease? ## Hi annie, Based on my research, there is consensus that tramadol is the most effective oral opioid analgesic for reducing pain in persons with chronic pancreatitis; however, tramadol is associated with gastrointestinal adverse effects. I need to know how to wean off tramadol without bad withdrawls.please help? ## Hello Marie :) The best thing you can do is talk to your doctor that is prescribing it. They should be able to come up with a good taper plan for you and also might have other meds to put you on to make this process easier. Talk to you doctor about Gabapentin (good prescription med to help you with the restleg/sleep/pain you get at night). Also an anxiety med during the day would be helpful. If you have been ordering it off the internet and/or are not able to get a doctor here are some suggestions. Cutting cold turkey is not advisable (I have done it twice and the withdrawals are awful and can be dangerous) Tapering really depends on how long and how much you take a day, but if you check out this article it h... ...

what is the color for 37.5-325 ## My Mother (Yes, it's Mother's Day) was taking Tramadol APAP, 37.5 mg, for many months with apparently good results. However, a refill came back with a different colored and shaped tablet and has caused her nausea. The original one was an oval, orange tablet with 083 embossed on one side and the letters KALI on the other. Does anyone know where to find this particular brand of Tramadol? Thank you, for my Mom. ## That is because you were given a different version of this drug in generic form with a different manufacturer. I would call the pharmacy that dispensed you the orange colored tablets and ask them which manufacturer made it, and if they can order it for her for the refills, since the other is giving her unnecessary side effects. Ordered 100mg Tramadol tab from HAR pharmaceuticals in India. It works for pain. I just can't find from company web site if available in anything other than capsule form. Just wanted to make sure it's not counterfeit. The packaging is 10 tabs per package and states 100mg. Any reason to be concerned. ## Hi Bos, I believe you may have meant to say "HAB" Pharmaceuticals, as HAR Pharmaceuticals doesn't appear to exist at all. "HAB" Pharmaceuticals IS based in India and from what I can tell they appear to be a legitimate drug manufacturer there. However, upon looking at their product page, the only photo they have of Tramadol depicts it as being a small white round 100mg tablet (NOT capsule); and it goes by the brand name "Top-Dol". tramadol hcl 50 mg compared to Codeine 60 MG

Hi, I have lower back pain that generates a feeling behind my knee caps like I need to stretch them. I have been on Codeine 60 MG for several years. My doctor recently prescribed Tramadol. Is it more effective for the pain I have or is my doctor trying to get me off Codeine being it is a narcotic? I had a heart attack two years ago and I am borderline Diabetic, is the Tramadol safe for me? ## Hello, Mark! How are you? Tramadol is actually stronger than Codeine, but known to cause less sedation, constipation and respiratory depression. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And as long as the prescribing doctor is aware of your medical conditions, it should be... ...
