'm just out of the army and was a little too close to a mortar explosion in afghan. Since ive gotten out ive found it hard to find a doctor to write me prescriptions for pain meds. I moved from fort lauderdale to Naples fl and I have been on my roxy 30's for 4 years now. I'm and injured vet and have been in four horrible car accidents now to where I can't get out of bed without all my meds. So for the past 4 months I have to drive 5 hours just to get my meds filled. I don't have money like that and I have a two year old that can't stand the drive and she's right, it's not fair to her either. Are there any Drs reading this or anyone that may be able to help? I have all records. MRI's, cat scans, treatments. I don't know how much more I can do and if not for me help me raise my daughter.

I cant take subutex of any form because I'm allergic to it, and I was on methadone for the four yrs about. But both the doctors are retired. And I'm unable to work, make money, and so simple tasks. ## Im also having bad reaction to subutex can i ask what reactions were u having? Every time i take it im burning eyes Red! Hello to all in hopes of your help... I am looking for a PM clinic who will continue me on my meds that my dr in orlando has prescribed for over 3 yrs. NEED TO REFILL SCRIPT BUT TOLD I NEED A FAMILY DOC TO DO SO CANT WAIT IN SERIOUS PAIN HELP ## If you're looking for a pain management specialist, that is another story, but I don't really see the difference between a "family doctor" and a "regular MD" in so far as being able to write you a script. In regards to finding a local pain doctor (to get a script for narcotics), I have listed below a website specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. Manufacturer: KVK Tech Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 10702-056 With regards to that information, I'd imagine that your doctor would simply write you a script for Oxycodone with that specific drug code or manufacturer in mind. Different doctors may write their scripts differently though, so I guess it's not really for anyone else to say how he or she might go about filling out a prescription form. I have my usual script for 180 dilaudid pills. My insurance will only pay for 150. Usually they run it for 180 and i have to pay for 30 pills out of pocket. This time they said they could not do it I had to pay 300 for the full 180 pills and they would not bill insurance for the 150 at all. I live in Bradenton FL and I have been going to the local methadone clinic here for almost 2yrs now and I'm OVER IT!!! Yesterday I was forced to miss my best friends funeral in GO solely because this clinic would not give me travel doses only guest dosing 80 mile round trip from where I wld be at. The millions of pain patients who rely on pain meds to get through their day without horrible pain are out of luck. Doctors are under threat of imprisonment and pharmacy's are being told they will be audited if they fill any scripts. This is a horrible situation for legitimate pain patients. Now they will all be looking on the streets and many will die from the illicit drugs going around. People hooked on painkillers should research Ibogaine. People in daily pain will need to find a doctor to prescribe the proper type of marijuana to treat their pain.

I am stuck in a horrible limbo land. My old doctor suspected I may have MS and suggested I see a neurologist. I agreed and had to wait 18 months to make the appointment because I've spent all my money tracking down every symptom over the past 8 years. Now I got in to see the neuro at Barrows but he only said he has to get MRI scan before he write any prescription. I have a prescription for hydrocodone 'take one every 8 hours as needed' qty 60. Got them to take instead of tramadol when I'm in a lot of pain. Last week & 1/2, I've been having major pain and the dr said I could take them every 6 hours til we get worked through this. So, I'm sure I'll run out, as I'm already getting low, before the monthly refill of all my meds.
