Please Help :( My Fiance' is currently on Oxycontin 40mg he was half asleep taking his medication and spilled the bottle in the sink half filled with water, by the time he realized it, a couple of hours had passed, the medication was in the sink the pills had expanded... Are they still OK to take? The protective coating was gone ## Hello, Christy! How are you? No, a good portion of the medication has most likely been released, so they are likely worthless. He should consult his prescriber regarding how to proceed. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It would be a good idea to put the pills in a bottle, if you ...

I have about 10 pills that are powder and 9 in pill form, but will bust into dust if I'm not careful when picking them up. Will they still work like they should? ## I don't know what type of medication you're referring to, but if the tablets became powder, then my main personal concern would be accidentally taking too much. It just seems to me like it would be difficult to measure out an approximate dosage of powder relative to the normal tablet size/composition; unless you know the proper weight and size. The tablet efficacy may also be subject to vary depending upon which drug it is and which binders/fillers it's mixed with [taking into consideration the notion that some substances come in extended release tablets that could present a potentially serious risk factor. I am being treated for breast cacer and severe back problems. 4mg dilaudid is not working anymore, so i was going to talk to my pain dr about higher dose of dilaudid. I am a server in restaurant and on my days i do doubles i have the worst pain, the next day i am laid up in bed. My question is, i pick up my prescription on Monday but will see the dr on Thursday. If he changes it, do i give the meds i get monday back? ## No absolutely not please hold on to your money until you actually see the doctor once a transaction is finalized at the pharmacy there are no refunds for any reason. These are the federally regulated laws in place for everyone's safety. ## She may (or may not) have been referring to the doctor. Several years ag...

My phentermine medication got slightly wet -are they still effective? ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? They aren't time released, so they should be, but a tiny amount of the medication may have been lost, if they started to disintegrate. In the future, it would be best to keep your medications away from water sources and store them in a cool, dry, dark area. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I just realised that my 100mg/60 tab spironolactone/aldactone got slightly wet by normal drinking water, I took it out and air dried along with the sachet, most of the pill form changed slightly abit due to it being mushy on the outer layer when i was trying to transfer the pills to dry it. So is i...

Hi, My 12year old son struggles to wake up @night to go and pee, and as a result he wets his bed. I took him in for a diagnosis when he was 8 and was advised that everything is fine with him. Should I be worried or is he just lazy? He likes to play a lot during the day but I don't wanna ignore this and take it for granted that it is a reason for bedwetting. Kind regards ## Get your children a bedwetting alarm. There are many alarms to chose from. I did my homework and decided to purchase the Chummie bedwetting alarm. No particular reason, just that my children wanted it. It worked wonders for my 8-year old son and 6-year old daughter. Good luck to you all.

Got vidicon wet in washer will they.still work ## It really depends on how we they got and how much of the tablets started to dissolve. However, regardless of that, I wouldn't recommend trying to use them as even if they only got slightly damp and barely dissolved, they may still have absorbed various chemicals from your washer, such as those in your laundry detergent, bleach, fabric softener and etc. Are there any other comments or questions? ## got my vicodin slightly wet in the sink...dumped 50 pills accidently....dried them all slowly with a hair dryer....only a few are slightly fuzzy....can I still use them? I carry my pill bottle in my purse and had a coke bottle in there also. Somehow the coke split and get into my bottle. Now I have 8 wet suboxone tablets. They were wet for about 1-2 hours gefore I noticed. They don't crumble when I break them. But the top part of all the tablets are clearly wet. Like the started to dissolve maybe. I signed a contract agreeing to no refills until my month is up. So will these tablets still be okay for me to take? I assume the potency would be gone since you take them by putting under your tongue. Then your saline dissolves it. Seems like when coke dissolved then they medicine would of 'came' out also lol. ## Hi Ashley, Sorry to hear about what happened with your meds. From what I've heard, coke can pretty much eat away at any of these typ...

I am prescribed 30mg oxycodone 3 times per day. A few got damp and I need to know if they will still be effective and if they are ok to take? ## If they just got damp, they should be fine, though a little of the medication may have dissolved. However, I'd suggest double checking with your doctor or pharmacist. Does Suboxone lose potency when wet? ## Hello, Cisco! How are you? It can, if it got wet enough for some of it to start dissolving. The loss is probably minuscule, unless they were severely soaked and dissolved a lot. Your prescriber or pharmacist should be able to let you know how to handle the situation. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I left my 60 mg chewable Vyvanse on my windowsill. The window was open and it rained. Some got wet and dissolved and then dried. Now they are bumpy looking and deformed but still in tact. Are they still safe to take? ## If the pills are fully intact then I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to continue taking them as prescribed. I suppose the partially dissolved tablets would be the only ones that remain questionable, at least in so far as their potency is concerned. However, when it comes to their 'safety', I personally don't consider water to be an adulterant. As a last resort, you could always bring the damaged pills to your prescribing doctor and see if s/he is willing to replace them with a new script? Hope this helps!

I had both .5 and 1mg in the same bottle, I am unsure of how many were there, although it was only 4-5 .5 mg and around 5-6 1mg pills. Pink and blue. I went into a depressive episode, because I couldn't find the 1mg ones. The next day I found the pink packaged ones in the shower, dumped them into the bottle not realizing what I was doing. The pink ones are chunked up and the blue ones are pure dust. I am unsure of how to dose them. I am cycling between manic and depressive very quickly, (Ie: 2 days d, 3 days m, and now back in d. I try not to take medications at all.) I only had a 15 script to begin with. (It's not regular, was only until I could make it to my psychologist NP. Which is a new doctor and not for a month.) I'm feeling like I really need to take them, but I'...

Hi, my son is 11, has ADHD, autism, Tourette,SPD, GDD and a learning disability. He's been on Ritalin for three years with very little effect at all. His psychiatrist has now put him on Intuniv. He started on 1mg and there were few side effects. His BP decreased a bit and he was sleepy for three days but this stopped. His dose was increased to 2mg two days ago and now he's complaining of a headache, nausea (he vomited this morning) and has also started wetting a lot. Do these side effects decrease over time...or do they continue? We have noticed a minimal decrease in the tics and he's slightly calmer, also hes only been on the meds a week, so we want to give it a chance. Just wondering if anyone else has any similar experiences. ## Those are all known side effects of this me...

I got my medicine percocet 10 mg slightly wet will they still work as good or it wont ## Hello, Johnna! How are you? How wet did they get? Did fluid just splash on them, or did the tablets actually start to dissolve? I had seven yellow norcos in a bag and left them in the pocket of my pants... put the pants in washer for a few min. They are still yellow an only desolved a lil. Will they still work??? ## From your description, I would probably encourage you to toss them for one good reason; and that's because you probably don't want to ingest any residue from whatever laundry detergent you used at the time. If it were not for that, IMHO, they might've still been fine to take, but may be noticeably less potent from having been partially dissolved. I hope this helps!

I take 30 mg MS Contin for cronic pain. Went to take it very early in the morning. Was several hours earlier than usual because i had woken around 4:30am in alot of pain! I was very sleepy and had the perscription bottle sitting next to sink as i started to fill my glass with water. i had one pill in hand and a glass in the other with the water running. As i leaned forward to fill my glass, i knocked my pill bottle over into the sink! At least 8 were really wet, a couple more were a lil wet. I know not to crush, cut, or chew them cause of the warnings on the bottle... but are they unsafe if they had gotten a lil wet? The 8 pills were too wet, but what of the others? I set them aside for now but dont know if i should even keep them or if they will make me sick if i take them. I will cont...

My son is 6yo and started taking Intumiv two weeks ago. Started at 1mg and now we're at 3mg. It is working great for his ADHD and behavioral aggression but he is waking up in the middle of the night 3-5 times and staying awake saying he can't sleep. Sometimes he wakes up screaming and crying like in a panic but can't really express what's wrong. Since it's summer and he is having such bad nights I let him sleep and he sleeps like a rock from about 6am till 11am. I even made him wake up early and not nap thinking that was the problem but we got the same night time results. He is also wetting the bed several times a week which is totally abnormal. Any advice would be great! ## Hello, Kristina! How is he doing? This medication can cause most of these as side effects, in...

So my adipex got wet and I can't get a refill on them. But they swelled up and turned blue. When you pick them up they fall apart. Is it ok to still take them as they are since they are kinda mushy and just drink it with something or mix it in and drink it? Thank u for any help. ## Given the condition they are in, the best thing to do would be to dispose of them, and consult your doctor about possibly obtaining a replacement prescription. It might even help, if you took them mushy remains in to show them, or at least showed them pictures. After getting wet, swelling, and getting mushy, there is a high likelihood that they have lost efficacy, and will no longer work as they should. Adipex is most commonly used to aid in weight loss. According to FDA reports its side effects may inclu...

To stop bed wetting if a 16 yr.old child. ## Hello, Anna! How are you? I'm sorry about the issue your child is having. Dewitt pills are no longer being manufactured. Additionally, since the child is 16, there might be medical reasons for it, so the best thing to do would be to consult a doctor. Undiagnosed conditions, such as diabetes as well as several others, could be the cause of such an issue. Is the child on any medications? ## My daughter is 20 years and still urinating in bed.
