hi tommorrow we waiting a storm in Philadelhia PA area, public transportation is shutdown tomorrow, my clinic is almost 7 miles distance from my house.. can I get my medication in a different clinic or some hospital? ## I would suggest calling your clinic and asking them what they recommend. Learn more Methadone details here. A hospital likely won't help much, because they won't treat you, unless you are already actively in dangerous withdrawals. You can't just go in and get a dose to prevent them. But they may be able to make arrangements with a closer clinic for you to get your medication, or make it so you can get a dose from a local pharmacy. Have you checked with them about it yet? ## Thank you for replay. Lucky me my friend take me this morning to my clinic and get my ...

I have copd and take maintenance dose of ten. When I get serious attack I take s tapered dose of 20mg. I live on a boat in guatemala during the winter months. Its both hot and humid. They are a year old and don't seem to be working. I'm half way through this batch. I.have a new batch now. Should I start the new batch now? Thanks ## Yes, they can lose efficacy if exposed to such conditions, so it would likely be best to take the new supply. The typical side effects of Prednisone may include nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, anxiety, acne, and insomnia. My mother-in-law has to take it, once in awhile, for her severe asthma, and I always told her not to even keep it in our bathroom, so she now keeps all her medications in a cabinet in her bedroom. Hi. I get severe migraines during the rainy season ( I know, Seattle? Basically ALL the time...) I also have sciatica and it has become much more painful since having my twins. I am desperate for some relief. Thanks! ## Hello, Twinmomma! How are you doing? Sorry about the pain you're in and congratulations on the twins! As to a doctor for pain medications, due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, if you require them on a long-term, ongoing basis, then you'll need to see a pain management specialist. General practitioners and surgeons have been severely restricted on what they can prescribed, how much they can prescribe, why they can prescribe it and how long they can prescribe it. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you somewhere? That would be the e...

I am a COPD pationt. weather capsules VELGUT - 1 B/D with A B Phylline capsules - 1 B/D & Alerfix total i tab O/D Will be useful. My Dr has suggested me. Kindly give your advise. ## iwas suffering from loose motion i took welgut for 4 days then after 5days i had the sameproblem itook velgut for 10 days. loose motions have stopped but uneasiness in stomach prevails should i continue taking medicine ## Velgut is actually just a probiotic supplement, not an actual medication. It helps support or repopulate the normal healthy bacteria in your gastrointestinal system. Thus, I can see the point of Deepti using it for diarrhea, since it can help if the diarrhea has been caused by a bacteria or virus that upset their system, but these aren't known to help with COPD. Why did your doctor ...

Ive had black outs in hot weather! Over a 100? I go inot shut down mode! Anyone else having problems? ## Hello, Jake! How are you? I'm sorry about what happened. What medication is in your pump? Sometimes heat causes some of them to move through your blood stream faster than usual. Or you may also be getting dehydrated, which could make the medication hit you harder than usual, if it's a narcotic. The FDA lists narcotics as having the potential to be habit forming and possibly causing side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## My name is Bob. I have a Medtronics pain pump the FDA and my personal Dr. Finally figured out over a 100? causes over dose! I have been sweating a lot, even in cold weather. Is this a possible side effect of Celebrex? ## Hi Debrose - do you have a fever or any cold / flu like symptoms? I was reading through the Celecoxib side effects on Medline Plus and didn't see anything specifically listing sweating or hot flashes. However, what you reported could go in line with other side effects listed. I would read through the list on that page, and definitely let your doctor know since they should factor in any other things from your medical history. For example, it says "Your blood pressure should be checked regularly during your treatment." Could the sweating relate to a change in your blood pressure? Just things to consider and get checked asap. I hope this helps and best wishes with your treatment. Pl...

Finished Epclusa 2 months ago and hot weather is making me very exhausted, plus my legs have mild edema. I'm 65yrs old and dont know if the treatment was successful yet. ## Hello Davoe, This is perfectly normal. Reportedly it takes roughly 12 weeks before the doctors will run tests to see if there is no longer a virus load and even when the tests show that the treatment was successful the body will still need additional time to heal. The healing process length is a case by case basis due to variables such as exercise regiment, diet, age, the bodies ability to recover etc. During the healing process you are already going to be fatigued more than normal and adding heat to the equation will only result in more exhaustion. Just be sure to appropriately hydrate and take as many breaks to...

I get pains down my leg usually when the weather changes from warm to cold and when it rains. I have always taken Norgesic Forte as soon as the pain starts and it always takes care of my pain. I can no longer get Norgesic Forte and the substitute my Pharmist told me to ask my Doctor for does not work. What other medications should I ask my Doctor for. I am in pain daily ## Hi Barney, Sorry to hear about your situation. I can't find any information on why norgesic was discontinued, but I think if you were to look into other Rx pain management options, there's always the usual list of narcotics to choose from; Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Percocet, Norco, Dilaudid, Opana, Fentanyl, etc...Your doctor would probably know better than anyone else, which of these medications might be most a...

My two boxes of Ocuvite were in my mailbox in the freezing weather! Should I take them with confidence or not? ## It is just a vitamin supplement for your eyes, so there shouldn't be any danger. How long were they in your mailbox? The FDA warns that they can cause some eye redness, itching, and irritation, as side effects, due to their potency. Are you on any other medications?

Last month I got called in for a pill count. I was 20 pills short due to the weather changing and my fibro causing me so much pain. I have an appt today to get a refill. What's gonna happen ## @babygirl2474, Sorry to hear about your fibromyalgia pain. I feel for you, as I happen to know a few people dealing with that who can't seem to find a lasting solution to managing the pain and discomfort associated with it. Concerning your pill count, the best thing to do in my opinion is to just be sincere and honest about what you felt like you had to do in order to control peaking levels of pain. However, in many similar stories I've read here, if you don't have the amount the doctor is looking for, they've been known to either give out a warning, make false assumptions abou...

27 years ago I was in an accident. And now when the weather changes I have a lot of arthritis pain in my my right hand and all of my arm running from my hand to the neck. This pain lasts from 1 to 4 days. Doctor has prescribed this combination of drugs and I'm wondering if it will help? Thanks a lot. Maria ## Have you used this medication in the past? This combination is not available in the U.S. From what I know, it is prescribed in Mexico as a muscle relaxer and anti-inflammatory. It should technically help with the symptoms you are describing. I would suggest working closely with your doctor to ensure that the treatment is working out and that you aren't dealing with any long term side effects.

A few years ago I started to get arthritis pains in my hands late at night, in colder weather/water and after using them a lot. I was told by my grandma I probably have it because it runs in both sides of the family. I took naproxen once and broke out in hives/skin rash on my arms. I no longer take it but I can take Advil with no problems whatsoever. All doctors are very confused by this as they are apart of the same family. I'm confused too. Is there a reason why I can take one but have allergic reactions to the other? ## That is always possible, since no medication is exactly the same as another, when it comes right down to the actual base chemicals. For example, I can take most antibiotics without a problem, but had a bad allergic reaction to Bactrim. It really isn't always t...
