Watson Change

My pharmacist said Watson changed their name. Is this true? ## From what I've seen mentioned, they've been purchased by another pharmaceutical manufacturer, they didn't actually change their name, so to speak. I've not seen any official confirmations of this, though. Learn more Percocet details here. The tablet in question contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, which is a generic for Percocet. It is a narcotic pain reliever that has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, constipation and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Verwon, Actavis has taken over Watson. This has been something that has been in the works since 2012 from what I have read from the Watson pharmaceutic...

Does anyone know what Watson did or why they changed their formula for Lortab 10/500? It used to be blue and when I picked up my refill today they are now white. I still have a few days of my blue left but I swapped a few so I can try the white. I'm waiting for it to start working and I took it over 2 hours ago. My rx is 1-2 every 3 hours not to exceed 7 in a day. (my pm dr wants me on a stronger med but anything above hydrocodone makes me euphoric and I can't function) The blue color lortab starts to work within 15 mins. I took my first white color lortab 2 hours ago, waited an hour and took the 2nd and nothing. I will wait 30 mins longer and switch back to the blue until I run out. This sucks. I'm a full time law student, disabled, single mom and can't use my dominate ...

I've been on 7.5/325, I was using Walgreens Pharmacy to get my script filled. However, I have noticed that the "Watson Brand" ---- of hydrocodone (Walgreens carries) is not strong at all.. After doing research-- discovered Watson was purchased by Actavis--- and since have changed their formulation in all "hydrocodone". I called Watson/Actavis----to report the pills are NOT strong.. They have been getting a lot of complaints! So, if you want Watson/Actavis to go back to the "old formulation" call them and complain---- see it they change it back this year! ## Please take your formulation back to where they were ## @cocomotes, Once you accept your prescription, pharmacy policies don't allow you to take it back for an exchange (especially if it's been ope...

There is a diff between yellow and white pills. Been taking yellows now for eight years or so. I was switched to the white ones about six months ago, and let me tell you its been a nightmare. pain is still present just a little weaker. Only last for 2-3 hours unlike the 5-6 hrs on yellows nausea 24/7 have to eat when taking them or I throw up. itchy everywhere cant sleep, extreme dry mouth, constipation much more frequent. Finally a bad buzzing in my head that wont go away. So YES there is something that was switched not the dye only. But I did read somewhere that Activis will lower hydro amt until sales increase then they will fill all ten mgs back into pill. Ok I see what there doing there making you addicted by lowering content so you need and buy more the after being hooked they res...

personally i think, the DEA, is cracking down, i know the doctors are scared their gonna lose their license, where i live they are getting ridiculous about it! there is an epidemic, which in return is ruining it for us folks who really need the stuff to just even feel a little comfort from excrutiating pain, there is even a brand called "qualitest" for God sakes! not positive, but i believe, food and drug adm., are lowering the strength, to get american's off the drug!!!!! ## From what I've seen, Watson does have a yellow and white version of their "853" generic Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone tablets. They list the dosage as still being 325/10 in the newer white ones, however, there have been numerous complaints from patients who have tried both versions, saying tha...

I have been using Norco 10/325 for 5+ years. The last prescription arrived with a color change. (From yellow to white) The difference is life changing. After 30 minutes, I become sleepy, the exact opposite of the yellow tablets which gave me energy along with reduction in pain. I have had both hips replaced, resulting in severe back pain. The Norco has allowed me to live normally for 6 hours a day. Is there any way or anywhere that I could get the original yellow tablets? ## No, the yellow ones are no longer being manufactured. The company removed the dye from them, due to issues with people being allergic to it, or suffering from sensitivities, which has resulted in the appearance of the white ones that are now on the market. Learn more Norco details here. The new side effect of sleepi...

light green and oblong in shape ## I WANT TO KNOW IF THIS WAS THE SAME AS 503 ## Watson 503 is a generic for the narcotic analgesic Lorcet, it contains Acetaminophen 650mgs and Hydrocodone 10mgs. Unfortunately, I cannot find any listing in the US prescription drug databases for a Watson 509. ## Have been using the Watson green 503 for severe back pain for a long time, with great results. It really relieved my back pain. The company has changed the formula and the 503 is now white in color. It is no more than taking a vitamin-can't tell that my back pain is relieved at all. Please go back to the old formula like the light green was.

pale pink oblong tablet with watson 502 on one side and a score mark down the center of other side. What is this?????? ## What is the name of this pill. and what is the side effects. ## Watson 502 is Acetaminophen 650 mg + 7.5 mg Hydrocodone (narcotic pain killer) ## That is correct, thank you Abe! And I just want to add some new information for anyone in the future that may be looking for an identification on this tablet… The FDA has requested that the amount of Acetaminophen in all of these combination prescription medications be lowered to no more than 325mgs per dose, due to the risk of liver damage or failure that can occur with long-term use, as well as the risk of overdose toxicity. Some manufacturers have already begun implementing the change and the rest are e...

small round white watson on one side 15/30 on other side ## birth control pill, compare to levora. ## Yes, it contains the same active ingredients, it is just a generic for it. It is used to treat hormonal issues in women, and to prevent pregnancy. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, mood changes, spotting, and weight changes. Please do not use combination hormonal contraceptives, if you are over 40 and a smoker, due to the increased risk of potentially deadly blood clots. Is there anything I can help with?

why take something like blue lortab and change it when it worked for choric pain is it because the drug is owned by doctors that want to keep people in pain why please tell me WHY! ## From my perspective, it's really not as complicated as it seems. The way I see it is that the pharmaceutical industry basically turns otherwise short-term pain patients into long-term customers. By keeping patient's scripts inconsistent and sometimes unreliable, they are essentially making people who are in pain feel like they "need" their services to survive. It's a total control/ego trip their on, but at the rate things are going with so many people now complaining about their meds, I doubt big pharma will stay on top for very much longer. In my opinion, the best way to stop supportin...

The white new norcos do not work, and I am back spending half my life in bed. Why is is they break in half so easily? The yellow ones couldnt be broken by hand. Who can we call? The DEA? ## Hi allie, It seems like a lot of patients have been experiencing problems with the Norco made by Actavis (formerly known as Watson). Apparently from what I understand, after Watson was bought out, Actavis made some "unnecessary" changes within the inactive ingredients, causing them to not be nearly as effective as their yellow predecessor. If you want to put in a complaint, I would suggest filing a report with the FDA under their MedWatch program, which can be reached at: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/default.htm Maybe if enough people report similar problems they will consider making changes. But ...

The Watson White Generic Lortab 10-500 has been changed and they DO NOT work to relieve Pain thanks to our regulaters. I have taken the blue ones for years for chronic pain and I can say Diffinently they Do Not Work ! Go to Norco 10-525 and add childrens tylneol to get 500 mg acetiminifen and you will get the help the ue Watsons use to give. Just stop using the white ones so they will feel the decline in sales! Fact! ## Watson was bought out by Actavis. I checked the website and the yellow Norco is also white. This new company has obviously changed the fillers/binders/diluents. The website does not say what "inactive" ingredients are in these new tablets either so that we can compare. They may even have the same ingredients, but a different manufacturing process using different ...

White Watson 853 not near as strong as the yellow ones. WTF has changed? I know I used to take about 5-6 doses per day of yellow tablets. Now with the whites, I'd need to double or even triple my dose to get the same relief?! You tell me they're the same?? Bull... I couldn't take that many of the yellows if I wanted to. If I had to guess, coming from someone that took these everyday, is that the white ones are like half the strength as the yellow ones. No way they are the same. Don't care what the box says. Try them and you will see. Government I'm sure controlling meds, just like turning the good, helpful OCs into completely useless OPs. ## Hello, Eight8! How are you? I have taken 7.5mg hydrocodone for pain in the past, the only effect being the absence of pain. Took one about 3 hrs. ago for a toothache and......it KNOCKED ME OUT! Had to lie down, slept for about two and a half hours, and I'm still really groggy. The ones I've taken in the past were not 'Watson 502', and I'm wondering why this one affected me so differently. ## Hi Leslie, When you switch brand names or manufacturers, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences in side effects you are feeling have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand. I'm frustratingly surprised that doctor's and pharmacists don'...

Learn more Vicodin details here. This is a narcotic analgesic and, as such, it does have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. My generic lorcet {Watson 503} have always been pale green. My refill, which is the same medication {strength, shape and mfg.}, but they are white and I believe they had a different imprint. For years I've been legitimately prescribed this medication for pain managment after a Cage was put in my lower back due to degenerative disc disease~surgery was unsucessful for pain relief. Thank You in advance for any information...Peace ## Without knowing the imprint on them, I can't check them for you, to see if they are the same medication or not. I have been taking Watson 10/325 for years. now im seeing that my pain meds have changed to Watson 10/853....why the difference? ## Hello, Robert! How are you? What were the markings on the others? The one with the Watson 853 on it contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
