As other name brands don't seem to be effective, can you tell me how to find the margin of error? ## Are you referring to the allowable different in the amount of active ingredients for generic medications? If so, that information is not required to be made available publicly, so it isn't. The company simply has to prove to the FDA that it isn't any more or less than the 20% that allowed. Have you had a problem with those manufactured by Watson? ## I had no problem with Watson. I was given something other and pain where I didn't have with Watson. Thank You

I am looking for Watson 10/325 Percocet and they no longer make them. What about Mylan brand? Has anyone had those- also Amneal is another generic. Help!!! ## My wife takes the 10/325 and has preferred the Watson also. Mylan worked well for her but we can't find anyone near us that carries Mylan. Who are you getting them from? ## I haven't had any personal experience with this med, but after seeing all the complaints against Actavis I think any other brand would be worth looking into. Endo Pharmaceuticals also makes Percocet. I'd just be mindful of the inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that they put into those tablets, because you never know if something in there could be effecting its potency/bioavailability from the point of absorption. From what I've read, Endo u...

Makes me drowsy it dont really help with the pain but put me to sleep i want the regualr vicotin it helps with the pain n i can move n spend good times with my grandchildren cook now i only sleep ## This medication is listed by Watson as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, which is a generic for Vicodin. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being of habit forming. and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. Has there been any change? How are you feeling, now? ## Me who wants out of pain, You have the right to have your BRAND NAME VICODIN filled if they stock it and YOUR PREPARED TO COVER THE PRICE O...

are watson perks stronger than endo perks ## Hello, Technically the strength of the pills should be the same so long as the dosage of the medication remains the same, however, there are some factors that come into play when talking about how each pill will react with you. Does the pill have a slow release coating? If so it will take effect at a slower rate but lasts longer and the effects will be much weaker. You also have to take into consideration the inactive ingredients in a pill which will also affect how your body reacts to the medication. There is also a lot of mental limitations here, sometimes people get so wrapped up into the idea that the medication they are currently taking is superior and when they do take another brand their thoughts can have a physical impact. It is alway...

It was very interesting to read all of the complaints about the different brands of percoset and their effectiveness. Watson was the only brand that helped me. It was a sad day when Actavis took them over and stopped producing their percoset. I even called the company and complained. I have the same issue with Fentanyl patch brands. I'm so happy to see I'm not alone! ## Hello, Marie! How are you? There are two name brand Percocet tablets currently available, both listed by the FDA as being in the 5/325mg dosage. One is a round, white tablet with the word PERCOCET on one side and DuPont on the opposite. The other is a round, white tablet that has the marking PERCOCET 5 the front. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit formi...

I recently re-filled my pain management prescripton for "Percocet 10/325MG and they look totaly different from my usual "Name Brand Percoset's" Why do they look different and what should they look like? ## The name brand Percocet in that dosage is an oblong, yellow tablet with the word Percocet on one side and 10-325 on the other. As to why yours look different, it is highly possible that you received a generic this time. There are many of them on the market and how they look and what the markings are will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some of the imprints and descriptions include: WATSON 932, round, white IP 204, oval, white M532 10/325, oblong, white 106, round, white And this is not a comprehensive list, it's just a couple of examples. I had been taking 5/325 generic Watson percocet for 4 years. Suddenly I get notified by Walgreens which I have insurance that there is no more Watson brand and I was given generic percocet 5/325 by Actavis. It is not the same at all. It has no pain relief for me. I used to break the watsons in half sometimes and never had a funny taste. I just broke one of the actavis white tablets in half and it immediately tasted like salt or alka seltzer? Has anyone had any issues with this drug too. Also, along with it not working right it has made my GI tract and stomach so ill feeling and cramping. This is not right how can they take away a medicine that someone has been on for 4 years without any problems and tell them to suddenly switch. Would a peson who has been on a certain heart medication f...

For years I have been taking Watson brand Percocet 10/325 6 tablets daily. A few months ago I went to fill the prescription and was given Endocet by Endo Pharm. and told it was a generic they had, so I agree to take it. Then last month when I went to get the same script filled I was given Oxycodone/Acet by Actavis and told it is the generic brand but the company bought out Watson and that is why Watson is no longer available. Again, agreed but shortly after taking them I started to notices slight shortness of breath, fast heat beat, extreme dizziness, fall asleep within 30 minutes after taking them, less energy and still having pain. I never felt this way when on Watson and if they are saying it's the same company why am I having theses symptoms? I always take 6 a day, but with thes...

10/325 generic percocet which is the best manufacturer for chronic pain ## Hi Em, Unfortunately because every brand/generic effects each person differently, the only honest way to go about finding out what works best, is to try out different manufacturers for yourself. That way you can also formulate your own valid opinion. What I can tell you though from reading a lot of posts on this site, is that Actavis (Formerly known as Watson) has been receiving a massive amount of complaints lately regarding the quality and efficacy of their generic Percocet tablets. So that's probably one company you'd want to steer clear from based on their recent track record. I hope this helps! ## I am a 53 year old grandmother, full-time student earning my bachelors in psychology counseling, then on...

I have been taking Percocet 10/325 for years. Recently, I had to get it filled at Target and it's made by Alvogen. Normally, I fill my scripts at Walmart but they were out. I have developed welts and they started the same time I switched to this brand. Is it possible to be allergic to one of the inactive ingredients that is not in the Watson brand from Walmart? ## Hi, Chris! Sorry about the problem that you're having. And yes, it is possible to be allergic to an inactive ingredient. They are considered inactive because they don't have a medial/biological effect on most people, but it is well known that some people react to some of the dyes used, some gluten based substances, as well as others. WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ME THE BRAND MANUFACTURERS OF PERCOCET 10, BOTH THE 325, AND 650 TYLENOL TYPE? IF WHAT I JUST ENDURED THE LAST MONTH WAS BRAND 10/325 GENERIC PERCOCET BY ENDO, VARIANCE FROM MY WATSON GENERIC, THEN I'M REALLY GOING TO HAVE TO FIND SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I DONOT LIKE HYDROCODONE, I'M VERY SENSITIVE TO ALL VARIANCES IN ALL MEDS. HYDROCODONE WHICH IS ONLY DIFFERENT BY A SMALL SYNTHETIC DIFFERENCE, MAY BE OK IF YOU WANT QUICK RELIEF AND A QUICK ADDICTION TO A PAIN MED. I KNOW EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT, I'M PROBABLY MORE SENSITIVE TO MEDS THAN MOST! PLEASE JUST FILL ME IN ON WHO MAKES GENERIC PERCOCET NOW, NOT WHO REPACKAGES IT, WHAT COMPANY ACTUALLY MAKES IT? im trying to find a pharmacy near coconut creek florida to fill my perscription percocet 10-650. not the round white ones, i would like to find the yellow long oval ones ## Most Walgreens carry the Watson brand which is what you want. ## For anyone else seeking information, this dosage is no longer available in the U.S. The FDA instituted a change several years ago that requires combination prescription medications to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen, per dose. They also warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. Is there anything I can help with?

ive been on watson oxy/apap 10/325 for years, and they have always worked wonderfully. last month it was changed to actavis and it feels as if i'm taking HALF THE DOSE! it's HORRIBLE, and not only does it NOT work, it looks just like a tylenol or a norco; white and oblong. my sweet walgreens pharmacist called EVERY pharmacy in my town asking if they carry any watson brand percocet and they have ALL HAVE BEEN REPLACED by this crap brand. i've tried endocet, which is even worse... so now i'm on the hunt to search the town over for any remaining watson. my straight oxy has been changed to KVK brand, and it's nothing like watson, but it isn't completely worthless. i'm so glad i came on here because i really thought it was just me. i thought 'how could i possi...

Man I had four different genetic brands. Now taking alvogen 10 325. Percocet 10. man no wonder there so many people killing themselves. everyones genetic med r different. S*** what happen to DuPont they too big to keep customers happy? I had enough. I'm going to ask my doctor to give me morphine. Or back on methadone. Even though they are hard to get off of. That makes five different types of Percocet 10 I had. Watson is the only way. I just do not understand. I guess I have to look overseas. Usa meds suck ## @James, You know big pharma is really making things difficult for pain patients, especially when pharmacies keep switching between different manufacturers to try and save a few bucks out of the hundreds of millions they make in profit every year. my son has pills in his bedroom and I want to know what they are please ## I don't have pictures to post for you, due to copyright reasons, in addition, Percocet, which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, is available as both a generic and the name brand, so the appearance and markings can differ, depending on the dosage and manufacturer. Here are a couple of examples that are generics, in the dosage you asked about: Round, white, 512 on one side and a score line on the opposite side. Round, white, WATSON 749 on one side, with a score line on the other. Round, white, IP 203 on one side, with a score on the other. And, as I said, this is just a few examples, there are many more. Are there any markings on the pills in question? If you can post back with this information, I will glad...

I have 3 herniated disc in my lower back and severe nerve damage down my leg. I've been on Oxycodone 10/325 for the past 4 years. I have always gotten the Watson brand which would keep my pain under control somewhat up until the other day I was given Mallinkrodt brand because my pharmacy had ran out of Watson. These Oxycodone made by Mallinkrodt don't touch my pain what so ever. It's like taking a sugar pill. I'm in extreme pain and don't know what to do or how to go about this. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ## Since they are both generics for Percocet, which contain Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, there is probably a slight difference in the amounts of the active ingredients that they contain, when compared to each other. I used to take Watson percocet 10/325, until it was bought over by Activis. I have since been on Malinkridot (sp); which is not as effective, but ok. Now all of a sudden Ive been told that the only generic they will use/order is by Rhodes.... I cannot find any information on that brand, or why the change. i assume it is because of cost, but any information would be much appreciated. I am very sensitive to dyes, and gluten, and certain fillers. I would like to know who owns the Rhodes brand, and if Malinkridot is still being made? Also, how they compare as far as effectiveness. How can you tell if you have a bad percocet 10mg/325 pill? Anyway to test to make sure they are good? ## Hey Bob; thats a real good question. and the sad part is they come in all shapes and sizes based on the manufacturer and brand...overall the will be a long a oblong shape pill with the numbers clearly written on it. except in the case of watson where it says watson right on it... another way to determine a real one from the fake one is by the price. if you see a ridiculous price like $2 ($60 for 30) a pill chances are you getting a placebo...the average cost of 30 pills is anywhere from $500 to $700. anywhere in that price range you know that you are good. ## 500 to 700 bucks for 10/325 percocet? ## People are making fake a333 and others... watch out ## Yep, I know for a fact because...
