I recently got a rx refill of white watsons imprint 853 on them and a few people have told me these are fake! They said if they break easily and taste like chalk they are fake!? They made my dad real sick! ## Yes got some in my script a few days ago break easily and doesn't desolve in water ## @Boo, Watson 853 is actually reported to be a legitimate medication made by Watson Pharmaceuticals (now known as Actavis). So as long as your doctor prescribed them I wouldn't necessarily question their legitimacy. The idea about them coming off as being fake is quite common though, ever since Actavis changed the formula from the original yellow version. They say that only the yellow dye was removed, but this clearly isn't the case when countless other patients have reported their inef... ...

White Watson 853 not near as strong as the yellow ones. WTF has changed. I know I used to be about 5-6 a day of yellows everyday. Now with the whites, I can take 10-15?? You tell me their the same?? Bull... I couldn't take that many of the yellows if I wanted to. If I had to guess, coming from someone that took these everyday, is that the white ones are like half the strength as the yellow ones. No way they are the same. Don't care what the box says. Try them and you will see. So recently I received a white Watson 853 that looks identical to the yellow ones; size, shape, imprint. Everything checks out except it does not feel as strong as the yellow. I was then told that Watson is not manufacturing yellow ones anymore so I checked the Watson/actavis website. They had no info on white 853. Are these fake? ## Hi Michael, Where a bouts did you get the pill from? If you didn't purchase it from an authorized seller, you could most definitely have a counterfeit. The only other thing I can think of, is that it may just be an old version that is no longer on the market. Need to Know color and shape ## Hello, Theresa! How are you? Watson actually lists this tablet as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is a generic for Lortab or Norco. It should be a yellow, oval tablet, though they are now removing the dyes from their products, so I think most that are currently available are white. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Of course I can't go to my doctor and ask him for a refill a week after I got this one. Plus it does nothing for my pain what so ever. I guess they changed it up to be less habit forming. I might have fake hydrocodone/acetaminophen pills. They r yellow n have the imprint watson 853. I need a way to find out if they are really counterfeit. Size? weight? Would be really helpful. When I took em I feel a little floaty but I think it's not the effect I should have gotten from taking 2 of em. I got them from my friend. What do u guys think? ## What effect are you expecting? Not all narcotics cause a high effect in everyone that takes them, it may happen with some and not others. And it's very dangerous to take any of them, if they haven't been prescribed for you by your doctor. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...
