Been on this for years and again these 2172 are not the same. They must differ in someplace. I get nauseous from them. After taking them almost 20 years there has to be something off here or I wouldn't feel this way. I can take a 10/660 Watson be fine and take a 5/325 2172 and within 30 min I want to vomit! ## Well, you are mentioning 2 different dosages, the pill with the 2172 marking contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is distributed by Major Pharmaceuticals. NDC: 00904-6567 So, if you are used to taking a higher dose, such as the other you've mentioned, then you may be experiencing some withdrawal effects, which may include nausea, headache, vomiting, rebound pain, and sedation, according to FDA reports. Was your dosage supposed to be changed?

Is this a generic norco from walgreens? - white oval pill 2172 scored on back side blank ## will 2172 have the same effect as 3202? how much more friggin' detail do u want? ## @RPMJR, Yes, a white oval pill with 2172 is generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg with a National Drug Code of 0591-2172. Seems like a lot of people here on MedsChat have asked about this pill just within the past couple days so I'm assuming it's a relatively new product and not much info has been posted on the internet. For verification, Actavis Pharmaceuticals is the manufacturer. @Mr. Breeze, 2172 and WATSON 3202 are the same drug with the same listed dosage... But as many of us have come to find out, generic drugs tend to vary in efficacy from one tablet to the next. Furthermore,...

2172 pills from Walgreens are not any where near Watson 3202. Don't relieve pain and will give you a headache. I tried to tell the pharmacist but they said that is what they shipped. This is what I have to deal with, *****s. ## There's actually been several complaints here recently on these newer 2172 pills. Since they're generic, my guess is that the percentage of active ingredients are probably less than other manufacturer's versions. Not to mention the different binders/fillers that affect bioavailability or cause unwelcome side effects. It's a shame that pharmacies always go for the cheapest offer they can get and care nothing about quality control for their loyal customers/patients who have to rely on this medication. The entire healthcare sector and our economy...

What u guy's mean it makes u feel like a zombie because i just got a my RX from Walgreens and i have something with a 2172 and i normally get 3202 and i'm afraid to take these. Please help me ## Hi Sunnie, Since everyone responds to medication differently, there's no real way of knowing ahead of time if you're going to have a similar reaction or even no side effects at all. Because the outcome isn't set in stone, I would probably suggest taking other opinions lightly until you have a chance to try it for yourself at least once. If it's of any help though, here are a couple other active discussion threads on the 2172 pill: Discuss/hydrocodone-2172-306266.htm Discuss/pain-pill-2172-norco-305949.htm Hope this helps. ## I too have been on the Watson 5-325 with red sp...

I am reading a lot of complaints about this drug. I was taking Watson 3202 5-325 for pain and it worked for my pain. Now Actavis makes 2172 in place of Watson 3202. I don't see any difference. ## Some people may be more sensitive to different inactive ingredients than others. Their bodies may also process/metabolize these ingredients at a different rate, affecting absorption. However, the amount of active ingredients in generic drugs is rumored to fluctuate by up to 20% more or less. I don't know if this varies from batch to batch, but I'm glad to hear that someone else is having a good experience with the 2172 pill, as it goes to show that everyone really does react differently, despite the nay sayers calling it a placebo by comparison to Watson's older products. Please...

My prescription has always had the label, Watson on one side the other 3202 white oval tablet. This month my refill is different, white oval tablet with #2172 on one side. They told me they're from a different manufacturer, and they seem to not help as much. Is this a weaker brand, was told possibly a (placebo) can you advise me ? Thank you. ## Hello, David! How are you? Has there been any change? It is not a placebo, but there have been many complaints about it lacking efficacy. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You may need to consult your doctor about taking an alternative medication, for awhile, until you can find a ...
