why take something like blue lortab and change it when it worked for choric pain is it because the drug is owned by doctors that want to keep people in pain why please tell me WHY! ## From my perspective, it's really not as complicated as it seems. The way I see it is that the pharmaceutical industry basically turns otherwise short-term pain patients into long-term customers. By keeping patient's scripts inconsistent and sometimes unreliable, they are essentially making people who are in pain feel like they "need" their services to survive. It's a total control/ego trip their on, but at the rate things are going with so many people now complaining about their meds, I doubt big pharma will stay on top for very much longer. In my opinion, the best way to stop supportin...

The Watson White Generic Lortab 10-500 has been changed and they DO NOT work to relieve Pain thanks to our regulaters. I have taken the blue ones for years for chronic pain and I can say Diffinently they Do Not Work ! Go to Norco 10-525 and add childrens tylneol to get 500 mg acetiminifen and you will get the help the ue Watsons use to give. Just stop using the white ones so they will feel the decline in sales! Fact! ## Watson was bought out by Actavis. I checked the website and the yellow Norco is also white. This new company has obviously changed the fillers/binders/diluents. The website does not say what "inactive" ingredients are in these new tablets either so that we can compare. They may even have the same ingredients, but a different manufacturing process using different ...

Where can I find them? they keep changing them all the time. is it because you need to pay for them out of pocket instead of getting it on Medi-Cal? ## Hello, Hugo! How are you? I'm sorry, but the ones with the 500mgs of Acetaminophen in them are no longer available. The maximum amount of Acetaminophen that is now approved for these combination medications is no more than 325mgs per dose. Thus, if you have a prescription for one with the higher amount, you'll need to see your doctor for a new prescription. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Having Medi-Cal has nothing to do with it.

I have been a chronic low back pain patient for 3 years now and been on the lortab 10/500mg the entire time. Iv been receiving the pink V3600 lortabs, but for the last 3 months my pharmacist told me there was a recall on them. but today he had a shipment of them in, but i was getting the bpue Watson 540 lortabs and in my opinion i do know they are the same thing. but even my pharmacist told me that not only me but lits of pain patients prefer the pink to any other lortab because they seem to take effect faster and last alot longer, i go to a owner operator pharmacy instead of wapgreens because a individual pharmacy gives you the option to pick your preference you may have to pay extra as i have to pay what my inaurance does not. but i would try a individuals or family pharmacy because a...

I have been getting the Hydrocodon-Apap 10-500 Watson and they were blue they have changed to white and they do not help with the pain an makes me feel tired an sick the blue ones did not so whats up with that they say they are the same but they are not and no a lot of other peps say the same thing and yes they are prescribed. The NDC code is 0591-2609. ## Hi Molly S, The color of a medication doesn't usually have anything to do with its formulation- as far as active ingredients are concerned. This one could possibly be from a different manufacturer that used a different blend of "inactive" ingredients in which you might be reacting to. Did you get the pills from your usual pharmacy? If you haven't contacted Watson (also known as Actavis) pharmaceuticals about this yet, ...

Found.. White pill imprint Watson 540.. 10 Mg...? Usually they are blue:10mg/500 hydrocodone/acephatamine Different color same imprint? Same thing or not? Usually they have different imprints or why change color..? ## It's interesting you mentioned that because "most" of the images I found have been oval blue pills. I did however come across a legitimate photo of the one you're describing (elliptical, white, imprinted with WATSON 540) at: rxlist.com/vicodin-hp-drug/patient-images-side-effects.htm NOTE: the dosage of the white pill is confirmed to be the same as the blue pill (500mgs of Acetaminophen + 10mgs of Hydrocodone). Manufacturer: Watson Laboratories, Inc. Although the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, it would definite...

Am I crazy!? I just switched from Percs 7.5-500 to Percs 10-325 and I feel it doesn't work near the same at all. The 7.5-500 made me more pain free, and more chipper. The 10's just make me feel dazed and dizzy! Could the acetaminophen actually help that much more? So confused. Tempted to ask to go back to 7.5. I just hate feeling tired! ## The Acetaminophen does help the narcotic work better and it can also vary from person to person, so having a higher amount of it may make it work a lot better for you. Another thing that may play a role is if the new ones are from a different manufacturer, if that is the case, then they may not work as well for you, depending on fluctuations in the active ingredient, plus the inactive ingredients. Learn more Percocet details here. Feeling tire...

my pharmacist told me that watson is discontinuing the hydrocodone blue 10/500 rx, and the only ones we would be able to get is the white generic, the white ones make me goofy, so why are they not going to produce the blue 10/500 anymore or is she full of a crap as an independant pharmacy, family owned?? ## From the information I've just found, your pharmacist is correct. In January of 2011, the U.S. FDA asked manufacturers to start limiting the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination medication products to only 325mgs and to discontinue the 500mg and higher versions. They wanted the changes to all be made by January of 2014. Some companies have already done so and the rest are slowly instituting the change to have all their products in compliance by the designated time. That d...

I was getting the blue Watson Lortab 10/500 till they changed to the white ones, which do not help the pain at all. They did do something to the formula, it's not in my head. Today I found a pharmacy that has got the pink 10/500 made by Qualitist Pharm. which they took of the market back in Jan. Now they are back with 3600 on one side and a V on the other. Approx. the same price and MUCH MUCH better.THANKS QUALITIST. ## I am glad you found a brand that work for you, again. And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is something you should be made aware of, because it will have an affect on you in the near future… By request of the FDA, all of these combination prescription medications are being changed to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dos...

I have had these white Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 10-500 T. These are not as strong as the pinkor blue. A lot of powder on them. Still have pain while taking them. When one pill works better for some than others. I Cain 't understand that if that name brand pill would fix the problem at one a day but we have to take the generic taking more and still feeling the pain. Money is as so the root of all evil. Without this money people like me and a whole lot more feel this way to. Will never get well. The medicine does make you better. The generic will help along the way but no you won't get well. These are just my feelings I 'm not by know means trying to get anyone to question their Dr.. ## @Jeremy, I may be able to help shed some light on why a different brand of the same exact ...

What kind of pill is it? ## The tablet with the WATSON 540 marking on it contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Lortab, Vicodin or Norco. Learn more Vicodin details here. This is a narcotic analgesic and, as such, it does have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Additionally, a recent request from the FDA has manufacturers lowering the amount of Acetaminophen in these products to a maximum of 325mgs per dose, due to the risk of organ damage associated with long-term use and the risk of overdose toxicity. Got a medicine filled that was suppose to be percocet 10/650. received a bottle that said it was oxycodone / acetaminophen 10/650. The bottle was filled with watson 824 and watson 825. What is the diffrence between the 2 . And I dont understand why they did not tell me it was diffrent. ## Oxycodone with Acetaminophen is just a generic for Percocet, those are the active ingredients that it contains. The issue here is that you actually received 2 different dosages. The tablet with the WATSON 825 marking is the correct one in the 10/650 dosage, however the tablet with the WATSON 824 is only a 7.5/500 dosage. Learn more Percocet details here. Thus, it seems an error was made and you should contact the pharmacy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it does have the potential to be habit forming ...

What Is Better: Watson Lorcet 10 Or Norco10/325 - And What's The Difference? ## If the dosage is the same, then the only difference is who has manufactured it. Are there any other questions? ## my doctor had me on lorcet 10/650 and change to lorcet 10/325 what's the different are they the same?I had three back surgery ## The only difference is the amount of acetaminophen contained in each pill. The 10/650 dose contains 650 mg's of acetaminophen and the 10/325 dose contains, you guessed it, 325 mg's.
