I am a senior citizen who is on Fentanyl patch (very low dose) and Norco. I have been on the same amounts and dose for four years and I go to a 24 hour Walgreens because I am on a night owl schedule (worked ER x 40 yrs on nights) and my son works days and we share a vehicle. I have been a Walgreens pharmacy customer at least 10 yrs. I have NEVER asked for early fill of my prescriptions, never ANY issues with scripts. Last night I went at 1AM and found a note printed and taped to the desk that said, "If you have any prescriptions for Class II narcotics, you must return to get them filled at 0800." I waited to talk to the RPh but he ignored me, so I left. I drove to another 24 hour Walgreens and promptly got the 2 prescriptions filled. WHAT the HECK is going on at Walgreens??? I c...

Hi. Im on a 16 milagram suboxobe regimen even though the word habit comes to mind, anyway I'm 5 days early on my script. So of course i was panicked. I never want to go through withdrawal again. So being 7 weeks out of er surgery i went back to the hospotal last night. Dr prescribed 30norcos i need 4 days do you think that will help ## Thank goodness walgreens filled my script 5 days early. I don't know why because they said not till the 8th. Then today for s***s and giggles i checked the web site and it said ready. I was a nervous wreck going the pharmacy thinking they'd change their minds and say no too early. I am now giving my script to My bff and she's giving me my daily dose. I'm going to ween too...I'm so tired of being hostage to suboxone Fornow though Th...

I too had my RX medication refilled (again) at Walgreens, but this time (When I did not take my RX Tylenol with it, like I always do) I noticed, that I have been given a different Brand of medication (A Generic Brand/MFG by-ACTAVIS). My "Norco-Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5-325/TB" did not work as prescribed or even when I took 3 pills at one time (because 1 nor 2 pills didn't work/relieve my pain). I believe I have been given FAKE NORCO/Hydrocodone pills (white/#2172 on them) from Walgreens Pharmacy. Today I contacted the DEA & FDA via email and requested that they investigate my complaint as soon as possible. ## Hi Lisa, Sorry to hear about your experience with these new 2172 hydrocodone/acetaminophen tabs. There are actually several discussion threads here on MedsChat co...

Every month I try to fill my norco 10 mg pain meds and every month the pharmacist tells me the same thing sorry we are not getting our order until next week! Well what do you do with the pain until then? I live in Waldorf mad and never had this problem in Fl ## THIS IS HAPPENING ACROSS THE UNITED STATES, especially if you are dealing with Walgreens. they have a secret filling policy and if they have told you no or denied to fill your script for whatever b.s. reason they tell . Those that are fortunate (in disguise fortunate . they will cause you problems i.e. calling your dr ) you can be lucky and they fill for you but their secret filling policy guides the pharmacy to stop filling controlled substances after 6 months. If you happen to change dr's they can deny you. my primary refer...

What Drug Store sell these in Northridge, Ca and what is the difference, if any ## I'm sorry, but there is no central listing to let anyone know what drug store carries a medication from any given manufacturer. Learn more Norco details here. Even attempting to create such a database would be a virtually impossible task, since such information is dynamic. Most pharmacies will stock whichever one their supplier was offering at the cheapest price. As to the difference, what are you wanting to compare them to? ## I live in Diamond Bar, and the only pharmacy I can get the yellow Norcos at is Walgreens. Those work the absolute best for me!!! Can't find them anywhere but there!! ## Google the number & letters on the pill. That will tell you what brand. The yellow ones your looking ...

Ok, I don't care what people say, pharmacy or manufacturer, the yellow norcos are stronger and work different. It is getting extremely more and more difficult to find the yellow norcos. From what I can tell, the major pharmacy's, ie: WalMart, cvs, Walgreens, target, etc, all have either the plain white ones, it the white ones with reddish/pinkish dots on them, and the smaller mom and pop(good neighborhood pharmacy's) have the yellow. Last month I filled mine at target, got the white oblong norcos (10/325). Today, I filled mine at a small good neighborhood pharmacy in Ontario, California, name available upon request, and I got the yellow Watson Norco. Again, huge difference. I don't think they quit making them, I just think that when buying in bulk as a large pharmacy doe...

I have been taking norco over the years from Watson. A couple of years ago my prescription changed to Tris I have realized over the last several refills the effects of relief are not constant as with the watsons, even within the own bottle some are strong some are not Walgreens said they dont carry Watson any longer. If FDA is monitoring this drug and lab works could there be such a huge significant difference in quality??? ## Hello Edawg, It's sort of complicated but I'll do my best to answer your question. There are rules that a generic must follow in order to sell a drug, one of these rules is that they have to prove to the FDA that they are able to consistently manufacture the drug within a 20% error of the brand name. This means that they need to prove that a person who adm...

I've been taking hydrocodone since December of 2012. After my unsuccessful shoulder surgery and then finding out that I have severe arthritis in both hips. My insurance paid for the first 12 prescriptions, since then I've paid for them out of my own pocket, which was only around $14 a month. Yesterday I went to Walgreens to get a refill and the clerk said they would be 62.85! I thought there must be some mistake. So I headed to Walmart, they had gone up to 68.01! Then I headed to a small town pharmacy and they charged me $25. I was relieved, but, very confused! Does anyone know why there has been such a steep price increase on hydrocodone? I can't find anything about on the net! ## Hello! Very sorry for the sudden price change. However no, I am not aware of any particular re...

Is this a generic norco from walgreens? - white oval pill 2172 scored on back side blank ## will 2172 have the same effect as 3202? how much more friggin' detail do u want? ## @RPMJR, Yes, a white oval pill with 2172 is generic Hydrocodone Bitartrate 5mg + Acetaminophen 325mg with a National Drug Code of 0591-2172. Seems like a lot of people here on MedsChat have asked about this pill just within the past couple days so I'm assuming it's a relatively new product and not much info has been posted on the internet. For verification, Actavis Pharmaceuticals is the manufacturer. @Mr. Breeze, 2172 and WATSON 3202 are the same drug with the same listed dosage... But as many of us have come to find out, generic drugs tend to vary in efficacy from one tablet to the next. Furthermore,...

I have been on Norco for years . I have used it in conjunction with Roxicodode with great sucess. Now that I have switched to the white version I am having serious problems controling my pain. I don't believe they just removed the dye. This white Norco has become a placebo falling far short of the results I once had. Now I am in scramble mode to find a replacement for the old yellow Norco. Walgreens has told me they have had several calls with other pain patients suffering from the new White Norco. Obviously Watson drug has altered the Norco to increase profits at the patients expense. How surprising. I will update fellow sufferers of the new bad White Norco with an alternative as soon as my Pain Clinic can finda replacement. I took too many Norcos on accident in the morning. Am I ok now as far as od'ing? I took several 10/325 tablets. ## Can you die from Norco withdrawal? I almost did. If I didn't believe in the Lord, heaven and hell, I would have just died. That's how sick I am, cause I was given placebos from Walgreens. They are being sued now. I'm ready to go to court. I took a drug panel and it's not in my system. ## To the original poster, how did that happen? Did you mix it up with a different medication? The biggest danger there is possibly overdosing on the Acetaminophen, which you can read about on Medline Plus. You have to be extremely careful not to exceed 1,000mgs of it per dose, or 3,000mgs per day. An Acetaminophen overdose can be fatal, if not treated immediately, and succ...

I live in Whittier CA and have been on Norco's since 2008. I have always had the yellow by qualitest and now they have vanished. CVS quit carrying them and went with a white oblong by Milkroft (or something like that) and they gave me the worst migraine!! Walgreens carries white Watson. I want to know where in Whittier CA, I can find the yellow's again?! When I try and explain to a pharmacist- they look at me like either I am crazy or a pill popping addict?!? Like really? Maybe it's the tattoo's? Simple minded ignorance just burns me. So I searched the net and found this site. Please help!! I can't take another month of crap that doesn't work or gives me a migraine. I have a spinal condition- always in pain. Please help if anyone has any idea which pharmacy I can...

what pharmacys other than walgreens carry the watson brandof norco10/325 ## Hello, Joel! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of which pharmacies carry a medication from any given manufacturer that I can refer to for you. Have you tried at your other local drug stores? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## HEB carries the yellow Watson brand. They worj very good. ## HEB carries the yellow Watson brand. What is HEB??I love in palm beach florida. For the last 8 years I've been filling my hydrocodone scripts there. Just wondering if the g037 is the same as Watson 10/325. Are they gonna have the same effect as them? ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Tris Pharma and they list it as containing 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## A white oval pill G037 what is it's strength is it like a 500mg vicoden or 750 mg vicoden ## If Norco and Loratab the same then why do the have different names? ## Which pharmacy should I go to if I need to fill my prescriptions for hydrocodone 10/325? I have a paper/written script for norco from my home in MI. I have been a customer at Walgreens for 20+ years and the pharmacy here in GA won't fill it, even though they can see I have been refilling every month for over 3 years. Is there a pharmacy that will fill it? or is it a GA law now? What about TN? I can drive there in about 2 hours. It should not be this hard to get a refill. ## Hello, George! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Due to the new regulations that were put out by the DEA last year, as well as the fact that Norco was changed to a schedule 2 drug this past October, most pharmacies aren't going to fill an out of state prescription. It makes it much harder for them to validate it and the mandatory order/stock restrictions on cont...

Hey guys, I recently had my script filled at my Walgreens and they switched to Par Pharmecuticals for my Norco 7.5/325 ( which I've been taking for years ) it's now a peach pill with a cursive v on one side and 36/05 on the other. Has anyone taken these before as I have never seen these in the past 7 years under my pain management "care." I have to take them for my Degenerative Disk Disease, slipped fusion, osteoarthritis all the way up my spine, narrowing disc space causing pinched nerves and a new herniated disk. I'm 36 and refuse to go back on fentanyl. Just wondering if these have caused problems with anyone. Thank you in advance for any reply! ## The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nause...

THE 853 NORCO DOES NOT HELP MY PAIN AS WELL AS THE YELLOW TINTED ONES. PLUS THEY UPED THE PRICE DOUBLE. ## I used CVS for my prescriptions until last month, when I tried Walgreens to fill my script for Norco 10/325. When I saw they were white instead of yellow I thought I was given the 5/500 strength in error, since I knew those are white. I called Walgreens and was assured these Watson 853's were the exact same ingredients as the Norco 10/325. After taking my usual dosage, I was shocked to feel almost no relief....maybe 10% relief. After this happened, i went on the internet and read about others who had the same bad experience. Today when I got my new script I went back to Walgreens and told the pharmacy I wanted the other generic, NOT the Watson 853. They said that's the only...

I have been on pain management for 10 years due to severe car wreck. I have taken all of the generic brands in the past and to me the yellow watsons r the best followed by qualitest with the mallins not worth taking. So last month i go to docs get scripts and go to walgreens to get my norcs, i get my pills and notice that they were white, So i take a couple and nothing, i take two more, nothing! So im stuck with them all month and everytime i took them nothing, Watson is now Activis or whatever, All i know is that they r not watson norcos, they might have the name and numbers but they r not the real deal. So this month i went to a different pharmacy that sells the qualitest yellow norcs with the v on them. They r waay better than the white watson/activis norcs. So from now on, i will get...

I found that Walgreens Norco 325 pills are less potent. What pharmacy has the regular strength Norco in generic, I can pay for brand if you advise me on where to go. I live in New Orleans ## Walgreens NORCO are the absolute worst ever produced and all should stay far far far away from those white trashy Watson oblongs pills. They REALLLLLY SUCK DONKEY BALLS ## Hello Bubba, Really sorry to tell you this but nobody is going to be able to give you this answer, even the pharmacies won't really give you this answer. I'll explain. First of all we would need to know what specific generic/brand works for you best. Nobody but you would be able to figure that out as every person reacts differently to different brands of medication due to the binders and inactive ingredients in addition to...

I have always went to Krogers and got my norco 10/325 manufacturers are Mallinckrodt. Never really had an issue as I only take 4 a day as prescribed by doctor for a car accident and injury i was involved in years ago. Well i am now on an insurance that is cheaper through walgreens. My problem is because I love to read, and have read that the ones to be filled Tuesday at walgreens are watson 853 and are white..? Are these good for the pain and the effectiveness we all normally search for with such pill or is it a waste of time. Ive read they go through actavis now and have read that they are not effective at all..0% for pain. Has anyone had this same issue or is it just a hype to all the addicts that think they notice differences in these meds. When I say addicts im not being judgmental ...
