I am a senior citizen who is on Fentanyl patch (very low dose) and Norco. I have been on the same amounts and dose for four years and I go to a 24 hour Walgreens because I am on a night owl schedule (worked ER x 40 yrs on nights) and my son works days and we share a vehicle. I have been a Walgreens pharmacy customer at least 10 yrs. I have NEVER asked for early fill of my prescriptions, never ANY issues with scripts. Last night I went at 1AM and found a note printed and taped to the desk that said, "If you have any prescriptions for Class II narcotics, you must return to get them filled at 0800." Hi. Im on a 16 milagram suboxobe regimen even though the word habit comes to mind, anyway I'm 5 days early on my script. So of course i was panicked. I never want to go through withdrawal again. I too had my RX medication refilled (again) at Walgreens, but this time (When I did not take my RX Tylenol with it, like I always do) I noticed, that I have been given a different Brand of medication (A Generic Brand/MFG by-ACTAVIS). My "Norco-Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 5-325/TB" did not work as prescribed or even when I took 3 pills at one time (because 1 nor 2 pills didn't work/relieve my pain). Every month I try to fill my norco 10 mg pain meds and every month the pharmacist tells me the same thing sorry we are not getting our order until next week! Ok, I don't care what people say, pharmacy or manufacturer, the yellow norcos are stronger and work different. It is getting extremely more and more difficult to find the yellow norcos. From what I can tell, the major pharmacy's, ie: WalMart, cvs, Walgreens, target, etc, all have either the plain white ones, it the white ones with reddish/pinkish dots on them, and the smaller mom and pop(good neighborhood pharmacy's) have the yellow. Last month I filled mine at target, got the white oblong norcos (10/325). I have been taking norco over the years from Watson. A couple of years ago my prescription changed to Tris I have realized over the last several refills the effects of relief are not constant as with the watsons, even within the own bottle some are strong some are not Walgreens said they dont carry Watson any longer. I've been taking hydrocodone since December of 2012. After my unsuccessful shoulder surgery and then finding out that I have severe arthritis in both hips. My insurance paid for the first 12 prescriptions, since then I've paid for them out of my own pocket, which was only around $14 a month. I have been on Norco for years . I have used it in conjunction with Roxicodode with great sucess. Now that I have switched to the white version I am having serious problems controling my pain. I don't believe they just removed the dye. This white Norco has become a placebo falling far short of the results I once had. Now I am in scramble mode to find a replacement for the old yellow Norco. Walgreens has told me they have had several calls with other pain patients suffering from the new White Norco. Obviously Watson drug has altered the Norco to increase profits at the patients expense. I took too many Norcos on accident in the morning. Am I ok now as far as od'ing? I took several 10/325 tablets. ## Can you die from Norco withdrawal? I almost did. I live in Whittier CA and have been on Norco's since 2008. I have always had the yellow by qualitest and now they have vanished. CVS quit carrying them and went with a white oblong by Milkroft (or something like that) and they gave me the worst migraine!! Walgreens carries white Watson. I have a paper/written script for norco from my home in MI. I have been a customer at Walgreens for 20+ years and the pharmacy here in GA won't fill it, even though they can see I have been refilling every month for over 3 years. Hey guys, I recently had my script filled at my Walgreens and they switched to Par Pharmecuticals for my Norco 7.5/325 ( which I've been taking for years ) it's now a peach pill with a cursive v on one side and 36/05 on the other. Has anyone taken these before as I have never seen these in the past 7 years under my pain management "care." THE 853 NORCO DOES NOT HELP MY PAIN AS WELL AS THE YELLOW TINTED ONES. I have been on pain management for 10 years due to severe car wreck. I have taken all of the generic brands in the past and to me the yellow watsons r the best followed by qualitest with the mallins not worth taking. I have always went to Krogers and got my norco 10/325 manufacturers are Mallinckrodt. Never really had an issue as I only take 4 a day as prescribed by doctor for a car accident and injury i was involved in years ago. Well i am now on an insurance that is cheaper through walgreens.
