My baby is eighteen months old and been vomiting for the past five days. ## Hi, Ted! How is your child doing? Have you consulted their pediatrician? There are many reasons your child could be sick, they may have the flu, a lot of gas, or some other type of stomach upset.

An antiemetic is a drug that is effective against vomiting and nausea. Antiemetics are typically used to treat motion sickness and the side effects of opioid analgesics, general anaesthetics, and chemotherapy directed against cancer. Anti-emetics are also used for morning sickness, but there is little information about the effect on the fetus, and doctors prefer not to use them unless it is strictly necessary.[1] Contents 1 Types of antiemetics 2 References 3 See also Types of ...

Has anyone had any experience of vomiting with Lisinopril? I've been prescribed them today, after two weeks of home monitoring of blood pressure. I've read a few horror stories, but few positive ones (largely, I think as people generally comment on negatives and not positives). Most of the side effects of this, or any medication, don't bother me, but I do have a severe phobia of vomiting. A few comments I've read elsewhere have indicated that coughing can be so bad it induces vomiting or triggers the gag reflex. What have your experiences of lisinopril been, particularly with regard to gastrointestinal issues, particularly nausea and vomiting? Thanks! ## Like most meds, when and how u take them can have a huge effect. One pill I used take with bacon. Some pills go down b...

After eating and fasting I experienced vomiting so Pan-D tablet when to use for prevention of vomiting?? ## This medication is used to help prevent the production of stomach acid, to treat, or prevent conditions such as heartburn, GERD, ulcers and gastritis. It will not prevent nausea, and vomiting. As a matter of fact, according to NIH reports, it could cause nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain as side effects. Has your doctor instructed you to take this medication? Are you on any other medications?

I was prescribed a 30mg morphine gell tablet yesterday he said to take one last night at 8 o'clock, and the next one this morning at 8 o'clock and so on for a week then go back to him. After taking this morning one I went shopping and on return at 12.30 I had a cup of tea and within 15 minutes vomited tremendously, so I ate nothing and just drunk water. Then at around 3.30 I vomited again quite a lot, in all I have vomited 4 times and the last lost was green. Should I take the next tablet due at 8 p.m. this evening. Would appreciate quick help if possible. ## Hello, Millie! How are you? That can be a normal side effect of this medication, as reported by the U.S. FDA. It also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, head...

I was given betamox 250 and flustat for a flu infection. I started taking it yesterday and have experienced bad nausea and vomiting for the past two nights. I have never had such a reaction from antibiotics before. Could it be from it or the combination of the two? I am thinking of stopping the medication ## Hello, Nat! How are you? It is hard to say, because those can be side effects of both of them. The U.S. FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, it would be best to finish the medication, as prescribed. Have you informed your doctor of the problems you're experiencing?

How are you? There are always some slight risks associated with taking any medication, especially, while pregnant, but you should follow your doctors instructions for the best possible outcome for you and your baby. I started taking 10mg Brintellix 2 weeks ago ( also taking lithium). After weaning of mirtazipine - what a nightmare!!!!. I have been constantly sick , suffering insomnia, mood swings, no appetite, etc. Is this normal crossover symptoms and do I give the Brintellix more time?? .I have tried nearly every antidepressant around. Was really hoping this one would be "it". I appreciate any feed back. Thanks ## Hello, Carn! How are you? Yes, those may be withdrawal symptoms coupled with side effects. The only way to find out is to give it a few more weeks and see if things settle down and you start to feel better. You may also experience dizziness, headache and weight changes. If things don't improve after about a month of being on it, then you should inform your doctor. Is there an...

I was put on a T3 compound of 15 micrograms twice a day and Synthroid. I ended up having about four to five incidents where I had severe stomache cramping and then violent vomiting and a month or two after starting the meds. I did ask my Dr. about it and he said he did not know what that would be from and ordered a food allergy test, which came back fine. I did not feel like the Dr. cared and I did not want to continue having those incidents so I stopped taking the meds. I have not had any of those incidents since but of course I am having all the super sucky symptoms that required the meds in the first place so now I am trying to figure out on my own how I can fix this. Has anyone else experienced this? If so how was it fixed? Why would this happen? Is this a side effect of the T3 or S...

I drank the first bottle of Suprep and it began to work right away. I had to drink the second while on the toilet. I got really cold and the shivers started. Then I got nausea. I vomited about an hour and a half after drinking this awful tasting stuff. My question is will it still work for the colonoscopy tomorrow. ## It would be best to check with your doctor to be sure. But have you still been having bowel movements? If so, then it is probably still working. The symptoms you've described can be normal side effects of using it, according to FDA reports, you may also experience stomach pain, abdominal cramping, and dehydration.

I have been on Contrave for 3 months. I have battled nausea all along, hoping it would go away. I've lost 15 pounds. The pill seems to make everything taste bad. Coffee, spicy food, even just scrambled eggs taste bitter and gritty. I didn't have any other side effect. This past week, the nausea has moved on to vomiting. I've used Tumms and Dramamine as well as a prescription anti nausea med on and off for all three months. I truly feel poisoned. I feel ridiculous that I have used this knowingly for 3 months and endured feeling sick. I've spent a lot of money and feel terrible even a week after stopping the drug. Please don't take this. I feel that fairly soon enough folks will complain enough to take it off of the market. ## I dont feel that it should be taken off th...

I started my program today. 4mg per day is the magic number. I had to take one 2mg then wait an hour to see the Dr again. Then given another 2mg. When I left I felt like I was high. About an hour later I started to throw up. Does it help to take this with food? I know it's a side affect, does it go away? ## I am not sure how much taking it with food would help, since it is making you sick. You may want to consult with the doctor or a pharmacist before trying that. They may also have some other ideas on how to help the nausea. And yes, it will taper off as your body adjusts to the medication. You may also experience: dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. round white pill with an 627 on one side and nothing on the other ## This is Tramadol 50mgs, a generic for Ultram. This is classified as a narcotic, however it was derived from a sythetic one in a failed attempt to reduce addiction and side effects. Thus they have a medication that acts like a basic anti-inflammatory, but carries the same side effects and addictive potential as an opiate. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, vomiting, drowsiness and constipation.

I am 58 yrs old. I am in the final stage of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. With this disorder I also have killer nerve pain, and numbness. In the past I have been on all of the oxy drugs. Took Methdone 40 4x a day for about 4 yrs. worked at first, but then declined. Next I was put on Opana 40mg. Twice a day. Did great on that until they changed the makeup of it, and it started to cause vomiting. I told my Dr. about it so he changed my meds to Morphine Sulfate 60mg twice a day. I started to take it, and 6 hours after I took it, it made me vomit horribly for 3 hours. This went on for 4 days. I called my Dr. and now he wants me to find another pain clinic Dr. He pretty much was my last option, for my area, and he is close to 2 hours away. Does this drug continue to cause this reaction, or if take...

been vomiting off and on for about an hour, three times, my heads not hurting. woke up had to throw up ## What caused you to start vomiting, and how long has it been going on for? It sounds like it's from something you may have ate (food poisoning possibly). There have been a large number of recalls for certain foods recently, if that is the case. Either way I would recommend checking in with your doctor or going to urgent care. They can better evaluate your condition in person by checking all levels of your health and medical history. In the meantime I would suggest sticking to mostly fresh raw fruits and vegetables for your diet and limit dairy products and poultry. Dairy is mucous forming and can possibly worsen the effects. Cooked foods in general are carcinogenic to humans, alt...

I am an active college student, who works and I am under a lot of stress. I also take Loestrin 24 and woman's one a day vitamins. I started vomiting about two weeks ago right after eating pizza and couldn't keep anything down. A week later, after multiple hours after eating a slice of pizza I got sick again, right after taking my pill and a woman's one a day vitamin. I am not sure if I threw up the pill, but I continued to take my pill regularly. Yesterday I had pizza, and felt fine, but I forgot to take my pill last night so I took it this morning along with the vitamin and about 10 minutes later I threw up. My questions are do you think I still have contraceptive coverage, even after throwing up? Do you think the pill or vitamin is causing me to throw up, or could it possi...

I have been in Stage 3 colon cancer remission for 5 years. Side effects from chemo have done a lot of nerve damage. My Doc put me on Lyrica the day before yesterday, 3/19/12 and after 2 tablets I have extreme vomiting, called my doc and he told me not to take anymore; yet even today I have extreme vomiting and can not keep anything down, my stomach is killing me. Hopefully after today I will be better. Again just 2 doses of this stuff, wow. Good luck to those taking it, because I have been on many of strong meds, and this one is out of the park. I too was bouncing into the walls after my 2nd dose. Very strong stuff is all I have to say. ## Actually, it's not a very strong medication, which is why the dosages for people can be taken relatively high on it. It usually works at very low...
