I'm living Norway. I have VITAMIN D problem. as like 0%.. I'm often tired and getting lazy. and sleepy. but i work 13 hrs pr day. but i got bone prob. 30yrs old. but hate to take ten. I'm so allergic. so i don't do. but whn i wr in in india last month i got receipt for vitamin d mashyne sachet. 8 small pct in the box. how many pck can i use pr day or week. is it help in this cold country.. pls answer me asp. ## Hello, Sinthu! I have been prescribed vit-d rise (to be taken once every week in the morning) 1) should it be consumed on empty stomach or after breakfast? 2) are there any specific dos and don'ts? 3) are there any side effects? i studied dialy dose 600 IU to 800 IU per day,but in D rise sachets it contains 60000 IU , does it becomes toxic or any adverse effect may appear ## Hi, Narendra! . I had deficiency of vitamin d3 for which my doctor gave me a course of 3 injections after which my d3 came within normal limits but barely. a year later I was diagnosed with papilloma in my breast but it turned out to be non cancerous. Of late I have been feeling lazy and sleepy so I got myself d rise sachet. I also have hypo thyroid and pcod . Pl let me know if I can take this powder and how. thanks

My doctor has advised me to take this twice weekly. Will that be ok? Why did he advise to take it twice a week? ## Have you been diagnosed as being low in vitamin D? This is a supplement that is used to ensure that someone gets enough of this vital nutrient. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, and constipation. Iam male 65years my report says vitamin D deficiancy. Dr advised D rise sachats once in 15:days. My quesrion is after food before food or alongwith food please advise. ## Hello, Madan! How are you? There is really no special way that vitamin D needs to be taken, you can usually do so, whenever it is convenient for you. The U.S. FDA states that it may cause some nausea and constipation in some people that take it, if that occurs, you may want to take it with food to help prevent that. Past 6months i have taken tuberculosis treatment nd from 22nd June 2014 i am not taking tablet becoz 6 months of treatment got completed, during my last blood test it was came to know i am anemic nd suffering from vitamin deficiency, so Dr itself suggested few vitamin tablets nd d-rise sachet. I was prescribed d-rise sachet to be taken 1ce a week but can't find it anywhere since I came back to Nigeria. Is there an alternative drug I can buy? Or a generic name I can use to find it at the pharmacy? ## The active ingredient in it is Cholecalciferol, which is a nutritional supplement, it's a form of Vitamin D.
