This is a new drug for me and I need to know if there are interactions with B vitamins. ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Unfortunately, medications and nutritional supplements aren't checked for interactions with each other. Have you asked your doctor or pharmacist about it? They may know something on it, if other users have reported problems. ## Is the a generic for Fetzima?

I'm taking Metoprolol Tartrate 50mg since June 2012 and it says I can't take multivitamins while I'm on these. I've been having menstrual cramping but when I was taking multivitamins I really didn't have them. Is there a way that I can take multivitamins without interfering with the metoprolol? ## Hi Ann, I find this interaction to be odd, simply because there are vitamins and minerals in all of the foods we eat. By saying that you can't take multivitamins, it's essentially saying that you can't eat period, which makes no sense by any means of logical thinking. Lol! If I had to suggest something, it would be taking raw multivitamins (such as the one's by Garden of Life). These vitamins are still in their natural unaltered state and therefore should be...

With other vitamin supplements ## I can only advise you to discuss it with your doctor. Supplement products are not usually tested for side effects and interactions, as is done with actual prescription medications. So, it would basically come down to what the exact supplements in question contain, because getting too much of some nutrients, such as Potassium and Vitamin B12 can be just as dangerous as not having enough of them. Have you discussed it with your doctor?

Can I take B-Complex dietary supplement, Calcium, Folic acid, Amoxicillin 500mg, and Amatem Forte (an antimalarial medicine) together at the same time? And how many can I take a day if possible? ## Hi Duchess. Well, for the B-Complex / Calcium / Folic Acid ... those are vitamins and not drugs so I did not see any alarming interactions listed anywhere with the Amatem Forte. As for the Amoxicillin, which is an antibiotic, I did see that OTHER kinds of antibiotics may interact with Amatem Forte, but did not see Amoxicillin on that list. This was according to everydayhealth's article about Artemether-Lumefantrine. Of course, if you have not already done so, I would highly recommend telling your doctor everything else which you have been taking (vitamins and drugs) so that they can deter...

Hey there! I received my pills yesterday but after reading up on the medicine I am really scared to start taking it. I see that there are some very dangerous drug interactions while taking Belviq. I do not normally take any kind of over the counter medicine other than Tylenol or IB Pro. Are those two safe to take with Belviq? Also, I am a committed Le-Vel Thrive participant. I take one Woman's Capsule a day and drink one Shake a day. Its mainly vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, probiotics and prebiotics but I wanted to make sure that there wouldn't be any kind of DEADLY interactions LBVS!!!!! ## I want to know if I can take Nyquil with Belviq? Would it interact? I'm feeling I'm coming down with something and have a big headache. ## According to the University of Maryland...

Does anybody know what meds should not be taken with Trelegy Ellipta? I take Toprol-XL, Norvasc, Protonix, Xarelto, Proair inhaler, Ipratr Albuterol in Nebulizer, Flonase spray, Levothyroxine, and Vitamin D-2. ## Hello Beverly, I hope you are having a pleasant day. Using the UCLA health organization's drug interaction checker I did not find any reactions between the Trelegy ellipta and any of the other medications you listed. I have provided a link below to the drug interaction checker tool in case you would like to look up any of the other drugs/vitamins you listed. I have found this tool to be extremely useful as it shows you interactions with foods as well as other drugs which sometimes people may overlook. Was prescribed Xarelto 15 mg 2x daily two weeks ago for blood clot in the leg. I would like to keep taking the viamins/ supplements that I always took before this - I.e., B complex, Vit. C 1000 mg, Calcium/Magnesium, Vit D 2000 IU, Co-enzyme Q 10 200 mg, Biosil and Lutein. My doc said "no", but didn't tell me why not. Can't find any info anywhere to determine abiut this. Xarelto manufacturer has no info on package insert. Pharmacist doesn't seem to know either. I have read on another website that apparently the maket did not test for interactions w. vitamins, so they don't know. Does anyone here have any futher info regarding this? I feel that I really need to be taking my vitamins! ## Hello, Claire! How are you? Some vitamins can cause blood thinning and other m...

What vitamins interact with Mobic? Does ubiquinol interact with Mobic? ## @Equinox, According to The University of Maryland Medical Center / umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there aren't any interactions between Mobic (Meloxicam), Ubiquinol, and a typical full-spectrum multivitamin supplement. This doesn't necessarily mean no interactions exist - However I tend to trust information from Universities where you can cross-reference this information and make that decision for yourself. If still in doubt, I'd encourage you to discuss these concerns with your doctor just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps!

Hi, I have been taking Vitamin D 50,000 IU because my doctor found that I was having a pretty bad Vitamin D deficiency, but now my gastroenterologist gave me a prescription for Linzess. I'm not sure if I can take Linzess and my Vitamin D together? ## I didn't find any problems or interactions listed, but it is always best to double check to be sure. The worst issue I can find is that the vitamin D can sometimes cause constipation, according to FDA reports, so they can be kind of contradictory. How is the Linzess working for you?

Any one suggest what to use for very bad sciatica taking gabapentin 900mg and paracetamol can u takevitamin c and any other vitamins with gabapentin x thanx ## Based on my research, Gabapentin does not list any drug interactions with food or drinks other than alcohol. So there shouldn't be any problems taking it along with some multivitamins. Vitamins and minerals however are in just about every type of food/drink that is on the planet, other than junk food. So if there was an interaction of some kind everyone on this drug wouldn't be able to eat; which would be quite unfortunate Lol. Regarding other treatment options, I've heard a lot of good things about "infrared light therapy" devices/treatments being used for this type of nerve pain. Perhaps that's something...

Since supplementing Vitamin D for deficiency my feet ankles have been swollen and puffy. Has anyone else experienced this? ## How much are you taking, and when is the last time your levels were checked? Vitamin D has been known to cause toxicity, if someone takes too much, or if their levels rise too high due to certain illnesses. Toxicity issues can include kidney problems, altered mental state, high blood pressure, and other problems. The edema that you're experiencing is sometimes a symptom of high blood pressure. It can also cause interactions with some other medications, and supplements. Are you taking anything else regularly? Ref: MayoClinic Vitamin D ## Are you taking vitamin K with it? You need the K as well.

My daughter takes 1/2 of a 1 mg pill of guanfacine in a.m. and other half in p.m. Can I give her a vitamin called On Task Naturally? It is 120mg vit C, 50mg vit B6, 200mg Magnesium, 15mg Zinc. The guanfacine has helped with her hyperactivity, but her mental focus.hasnt improved much. Dont wanna increase guanfacine dose due to sleepiness. We used the "on task" previously, and it worked well for awhile, but then plateaued. is it safe to take both at the same time? ## Hi Sunshine, Unfortunately, my findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions between these two drugs. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using (suboxone) buprenorphine together with (atarax) hydroxyzine may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. What waht purpose this medicine is given ## Beplex Forte is a formulation of B-vitamins with or without vitamin B-12 that is available as a pill or injection. This is used for people who have vitamin B deficiency. The B vitamins are water soluble, and as such the maximum dose for these vitamins is astoundingly high. Many people supplement their diet with these vitamins whether they were diagnosed with a defiency or not, as the B-vitamins are influential in interactions in the brain and blood production. People also supplement their diet with these vitamins as they have been shown in some cases to provide the feeling of energy and can provide a mild sense of well being.

I am taking one Osertile 100 plus tablet and one Frenxit for each day for reducing high blood pressure. I have been suffering deficiency of vitamin B12. IIt is 155.49 pg/ml. I feel unbalance between head and leg. Can I take methycobal tablet with Osertile and frenxit ? If yes, then please mention doses and time. ## Have you consulted a doctor? I cannot find any information on Osertile and what it contains. Frenxit contains the active ingredients Flupenthixol and Melitracen, these drugs are used to treat mental health disorders, not high blood pressure. And since the B12 is a supplement, its interactions with medications have not been studied and, depending on your other medical conditions, how much you can safely taken must be carefully considered. This is why you should consult a docto...

I take 262mg of Venlor antidepressants daily. Is it safe to take neurobion daily as well? Should I be concerned about possible drug interactions? ## Neurobion is a nutritional supplement that contains a complex of B vitamins, so it has not been studied for interactions with actual medications, going by NIH reports. Has your doctor prescribed this dosage of Venlor? The maximum dosage is usually only 225mgs daily, according to FDA reports. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes.

i am talking about fluconazole for yeast infection and also i am about to take nitrofur-macro for urinary tract infection, but i am not sure if it's ok to take it concurrently. ## My findings state that there are potentially unsafe interactions that apply to fluconazole & nitrofurantoin. This may be more likely to occur in older adults or those with a debilitating condition. Talk with your doctor before using these medications together.
