What are the ingredients? I have allergies to ALL fish oils, soy, and corn. ## In most cases Vitamin D2 is the only ingredient in a Vitamin D2 supplement, since it is synthetic. Typically, soymilk is fortified with vitamin D2 (but not the other way around, if that makes sense). Vitamin D2 is manufactured through the ultraviolet irradiation of a substance called ergosterol that comes from yeast. Vitamin D2 is vegan and according to my research, corn, soy, and fish oils should not be present in Vitamin D2. All in all, It really just comes down to reading the nutrition label on the bottle and checking the list of ingredients of any particular brand. There are other products with the same nutrients in them, but they are not formulated the same way and aren't approved for the same conditions that Metanx is approved to help with. Have you tried any alternatives? The FDA warns that they may cause nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipation as side effects due to their potency.
