I am taking Novomix30, 12 units and 8 units in the morning and night respectively along with VildaGliptin 50mg and Metformin 500 mg in the morning and night (two times) regularly. My blood sugar was 8.3(fasting)before taking this medication. Before this medication I was under treatment of Metformin 500mg once daily and low dose of Novomix30. But after the new medication prescribed the doctor I have been suffering severe dehydration which is taking away all strength. The recent dose of medication also tuned myself into a hypoglycemic. I think, my new medication is excessive according to my needs. First time when I started my diabetic treatment about 50 days ago, my fasting blood glucose was 12.7. Please suggest your opinion over my new doses of medication. My other parameters of Lipid pr...

I have been taking 1 Vildagliptin 50 mg and my blood sugar level has decreased. However, I would like to find out whether the Vildagliptin 50 mg tablest can also be cut in half and taken regularly at the 25 mg dosage level to keep my blood sugar within normal range? ## Hello, Kondodi! How are you doing? What have your blood sugar levels been? Your dosage really depends on that, because if the medication is the only thing lowering it, it could go back up, if you lower the dose. CAN GALVAS 50MG BE PRESCRIBED IN CONJUNCTION WITH NOVOMIX 24 UNITS BD AND AT WHAT DOSAGE ## Hi Ian, Information I've gathered states that Galvus (vildagliptin) can be combined with other anti-diabetic drugs. It mentioned Metformin being one of those drugs, but does not go into great detail about which other ones are fine to take as well. Because NovoMix contains Insulin and I've read details stating how taking "Vildagliptin 50 mg twice daily exhibited efficacy when added to insulin in a 24 week study", I can only assume that they may be alright to take together; but you would have to discuss proper dosing with your doctor. I hope this helps!

Will this have much of side effect? Is it a good medicine? ## Jalra contains the active ingredient Vildagliptin, it is an oral-antidiabetic medication, used to help lower and control blood sugar. It is not available in the U.S., so I am not familiar with it and don't know how effective it is. The only way to know if it will work for you or if you will experience side effects is to actually try the medication for a few weeks. Its side effects can include: nausea, appetite changes, dizziness and low blood sugar. Read more: Are there any questions or comments? ## I am using Jalra for the past two year and having the ...

for how long does Jalra 50 bring down the sugar level? can it be taken without doctors prescription? ## Jalra contains the active ingredient Vidagliptin and for better blood sugar control, it's usually taken twice a day, at breakfast and at dinner time. I am not sure if it requires a prescription where you're located, but it does in most countries, since diabetes does require regular medical monitoring. Are there any other questions? You can learn more Vildagliptin details here.
