Vicodin With Ibuprofen

Wondering if it's safe to combine the two, 5/300 VICODIN and 800mg IBUPROFEN together? And if so, should I take them together at the same time or space them out? Having HORRIBLE migraines and muscle spasms. ## They can be taken together, if you have medical approval to take them both. However, the FDA does warn that you may experience more severe side effects, which could include nausea, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. They Vicodin also carries the risk of being habit forming. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

How many ibuprofen and acetaminophen equal 1 Vicodin ## Vicodin doesn't contain any Ibuprofen, so you honestly can't really compare it with this medication. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, whilst Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opioid derived from codeine. Since neither of these are in the same drug class, it would be like comparing apples to bananas. G 800 ## There are no 800mg Vicodin tablets. This tablet contains 800mgs of Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Motrin, used to relieve pain and swelling. It is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. They are taught to view it as drug seeking behavior. Additionally, since the doctor is the one with the medical degree, they usually expect to be the one suggesting what medication you should try. Any doctor can prescribe Vicodin, but due to the new regulations and government reporting requirements they have to be very careful about doing so. Additionally, both the Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen can be toxic and cause a fatal overdose, if you take too much, so trying to take more and more of them to relieve pain is not advisable. So I was diagnosed with Shingles last week and was initially prescribed Vicodin for the pain by Urgent Care. In 6 days blew through the 20 Vicodin due to the pain being unreal. I called my PCP and they upgraded the prescription to Percocet 5-325 because the Vicodin was simply not working. The Urgent Care doctor called me and said no don't take the Percocet, take 600mg of Ibuprofen instead and if that doesn't show relief then they said to try Gabapentin. Between the Valtrex and Vicodin I've had extremely minimal side effects, mainly just drowsiness fortunately. I'm confused as to how 600mg of Ibuprofen is supposed to do what Vicodin couldn't do over 56 days 5-6 times a day? Vicodin is a very strong controlled substance. Once you start it's hard to stop then becomes an addiction and if you run out and don't take that vicodin for the day your going to get very sick, cold, puking, system's like the flu. Has lp on top 145 below it.told it was vicodin???the other side smoth.the pill is white n round. ## Hi tru, Most Vicodin/Norco pills I've come across are usually white oblong tablets, but this white round pill marked with IP 145 reportedly contains 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone bitartrate + 200mgs of Ibuprofen. It's NOT Vicodin/Norco, however I think the Ibuprofen may make for a good alternative for those who can't tolerate Acetaminophen, due to potential liver problems.
